of safe, involving play as children complete fun learning tasks to help Spider-Man

recapture
three escaped villains. It's packed full of learning excitement! Please follow these instructions
and save for future reference. Most importantly, have fun while learning!

KIDdesigns warrants this product to be free from defects
in workmanship and materials, under normal use and
conditions, for a period of one year from the date of original
-purchase.
Should service be required by reason of any defect or
malfunction, it is best to first return this product and all
parts thereof to the store where it was originally purchased.
If you need to send the product for service during the
warranty period, KIDdesigns will repair or, at its discretion,
replace this product without charge (except for a $6.00
charge for handling, packing, return UPS/postage and
insurance). This decision is subject to verification of the
defect or malfunction upon delivery of this product to the
Factory Service Center listed below. The product must
include proof of purchase, including date of purchase.
Before returning this product for service, please first replace
the batteries (if applicable) with fresh ones, as exhausted
or defective batteries are the most common cause of
problems encountered.
If service is still required:
1. Remove batteries (if applicable) and pack unit in a
well-padded, heavy corrugated box.
2. Enclose a photocopy of your sales receipt, credit card
statement, or other proof of the date of purchase.
3. Enclose a check or money order payable to the order
of KIDdesigns, for the sum of $6.00.
4. Send the unit prepaid to the Factory Service Center
listed below.
NOTE: This warranty is valid only if the product is used
for the purpose for which it was designed. It does not
cover (i) products which have been damaged by
negligence, misuse or accident, or which have been
modified or repaired by unauthorized persons; (ii) cracked
or broken cabinets, or units damaged by excessive heat;
(iii) damage to tape cassettes (if applicable); (iv) the cost
of shipping this product to the Factory Service Center and
its return to the owner.
This warranty is valid only in the United States of America
and does not extend to owners of the product subsequent
to the original purchaser. Any applicable implied warranties
are also limited to one year, and KIDdesigns will not be
liable for consequential damages. (Some states do not
allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of
consequential damages, so these restrictions may not
apply to you.) This warranty gives you specific legal rights,
and you may also have other rights which vary from state

or "NO" then press the Enter Button.
STORY
SANDMAN™, VENOM™ and GREEN GOBLIN™ have
escaped and are hiding out—right in your computer! You
can help Spider-Man®recapture the villains by completing
activities in each zone.
ZONES
Press the Mode Button to highlight
a Zone and press the Enter Button.
There are 6 zones, each with several
fun learning activities. Remember,
there are villains hiding in the computer, so make sure to
complete all the activities to capture them!

Questions or Comments
Note: batteries should only be installed or removed by an adult.
1. Open battery compartment door located on the bottom
of the unit.
2. Insert 3 new “AAA” (LR03) alkaline batteries
3. Make sure batteries match the + and – as indicated in
the battery compartment diagram.
For the Best Possible Performance
• We recommend the use of alkaline batteries for longer life.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• Batteries are to be inserted with correct polarity.
• Remove exhausted batteries from the unit.
• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Remove the rechargeable batteries from the unit before
charging.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• Batteries should be removed if the item will not be used
for an extended period of time, such as a month or
longer, to prevent battery leakage or damage.
• Rechargeable batteries should only be charged under
adult supervision.
Remove Demo Tab
The Word Web has a demo tab for in-store demonstration
purposes. Make sure to remove this tab. To do so, gently
pull on tab. Dispose of tab properly.
Power On
To begin playing with the Spider-Man®Spider Smart Word
Web, press the Power button. To save batteries, the unit
will power off automatically if no button is pressed in 5
minutes. To turn unit OFF, press the Power button.
Login
Whenever you turn on the unit, you will be asked to enter
your name. Press UP or DOWN on the Directional Pad
to highlight a letter (hold for rapid selection), then press the
Enter Button to confirm. To go back over/delete a letter,
press the Go Back button. When you're finished entering
your login name, press the Mode button.
Bottom View
Note: If no button is pressed/selection is made in a few
minutes, the mode will exit and the unit will shut down
ACTIVITIES
Once you select a Zone, you'll see
the activities for that zone listed on
a menu.
To choose an activity, press UP or
DOWN on the Directional Pad to
highlight it, then press the Enter
Button to select. Follow instructions from Spider-Man®to
complete each activity. There are multiple skill levels for
each activity. Press UP or DOWN on the Directional Pad
to highlight the desired level, then press the Enter Button
to select. To exit an activity at any time, press the Mode
Button to select another mode or press the Go Back
trigger button.
Use the Directional Button (up,
down, left and right) to:
• Move the cursor
• Select letters or numbers (hold for
rapid select)
• Highlight items/ make selections
• Control games

If improper operation occurs, press the Reset Button located
on the back of the unit.
If the toy still does not play, check the batteries. It is most
likely weak batteries, and you’ll need to replace them with
new batteries.
If the unit still does not work after changing the batteries,
make sure you have installed them properly, with the + and
– polarities matched up with the diagram printed inside the
battery compartment.
If there is a distorted or fuzzy sound, the batteries may be
weak. Replace with new batteries.
If problems persist, do not attempt to repair the toy
yourself. See the warranty for factory service information.
