General Safety Warnings
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions.
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Electrical Safety
A) Charger plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way.
Do not use any adapter plugs that are earthed (grounded). Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of
electric shock.
B) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
C) Do not expose the POWER PAK to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering the POWER PAK will increase the risk of electric shock.
D) Do not abuse the cords. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the charger.
Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of
electric shock.
E) If operating a charger in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply.
Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
F) Do not operate powered products in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust.
Powered products create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
G) Keep children and bystanders away while operating any powered products.
Distractions can lead to injury of yourself or the bystanders.
H) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or
other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
I) This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensors or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning use
of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
J) Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
K) Always take care when using this appliance.
Additional Safety Instructions for Batteries and Chargers

Charging the POWER PAK Battery (Cont.)
• 240V AC Battery Charger (9) - Once fully charged the 240V AC charger (9) can be left connected to the POWER PAK as
the chargers will perform a maintenance charge.
Caution: It is recommended that the 240V AC battery charger (9) be turned off within 48 hours after charging has completed to
save electricity.
• 12V DC Car Charger (10) - It is not recommended to leave the POWER PAK connected to your vehicles 12V output source
for extended periods of time as this could potentially drain your vehicles battery.
Note: If the POWER PAK jump starter will not turn ON, the current overload or low voltage protection may have activated.
To reset the jump starter you must connect the supplied 240V AC charger (9) to your mains power, then connect the
charger lead to the 14V 1A input source & turn ON the mains power. This will reset the POWER PAK jump starter and
should now function as normal.
POWER PAK Operation
POWER PAK Pre-Operation Check
Caution: Before using the POWER PAK ensure your vehicle battery has a CCA rating of 400CCA or less.
Trying to start any vehicle with a battery rated greater than 400CCA could trip the current overload protection or cause damage
to the POWER PAK and void the product warranty.
Note: Refer to your vehicles instruction manual for “connection of jumper cables” as some vehicles have specific
connection requirements.
• Follow the below instructions when your vehicle will not start due to a low voltage flat, damaged or low
temperature battery.
• Ensure the battery charge LED indicators (4) are illuminated with a minimum 3 BLUE LED’s before trying to jumpstart
your vehicle.
• Do not attempt to jumpstart your vehicle if the battery charge LED indicators (4) are illuminated with less than
3 BLUE LED’s.
• If the battery charge LED indicators (4) are showing 2 or less illuminated BLUE LED’s recharge the POWER PAK as
specified in “Charging the POWER PAK Battery”.
• Do not touch or connect the jump starter positive battery clamp (+ RED) (11) to the negative (- BLACK) (12) battery clamp
at any stage.
• Connecting the battery clamps (11 &12) together may lead to damage of the POWER PAK and/or vehicles battery and
could be dangerous.
• Always ensure you connect the jump starter clamps to the correct battery terminals, connect the positive battery clamp
(+ RED) (11) to the positive terminal (+ RED) of your vehicles battery and the negative battery clamp (- BLACK) (12)
to the negative terminal (- BLACK) of your vehicles battery otherwise you may cause damage to the POWER PAK
or your vehicle battery.
• Always check that the jump starter clamps (11 & 12) have a good connection to the vehicle battery terminals.
• Check that the vehicle battery terminals are free of corrosion and are clean to ensure a positive connection of the
POWER PAK.
• Do not try to restart the vehicle after 3 consecutive starting attempts otherwise you may cause damage to the
POWER PAK. Check your vehicle for other possible reasons prior to trying to start your vehicle again.
