This doorchime has a traditional
ding-dong sound and is easily fitted
for use with any ell push.
• Bell wire required
• Bell push required
An ornate ell push can e used if
preferred. (For illuminating ell pushes
a transformer must also e used -
KingShield model num er DAT01A)
• Fixing screws included
• Requires 3x C cell LR14 atteries
(not included)
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING
INSTRUCTIONS FULLY BEFORE
ATTEMPTING INSTALLATION.
1. Using a knife, carefully split the ell
wire down the middle to form two
separate wires, each 30mm long.
2. Strip each wire ack to expose
5mm of copper wire.
3. The process will need to e
repeated at the other end of the
ell wire once it has een cut to
the required length.

4. The ell wire is now
ready to wire up the
doorchime to the ell
push.
1. Unclip top cover.
2. Thread ell wire from the ack of
the ase and through the large
opening to the left of the keyhole
slot.
3. Insert either one of the stripped
ends to terminal A and the other to
terminal C, ensuring the terminal
screws are tightened securely
afterwards. Do not use terminals
marked B and D.
4. Position the ase on the wall
vertically, away from opening
doors, with the attery
compartment at the ottom.
Ensure that it is less than 5metres
away from the ell push.
5. Use one of the screws and wall
fixings to hang the ase on the wall
via the top keyhole slot. Adjust the
screw for a flush fit if required.
6. Insert 3x C cell atteries as per
markings on the inside of the case.
1. If necessary, remove the ase
cover of the ell push to reveal the
terminal screws.
2. Loosen one of the terminal screws
and wrap one of the stripped ends
of ell wire around the exposed
screw thread, ensuring the screw
is tightened securely afterwards.
Repeat this process for the other
screw terminal and wire.

4. USING A TRANSFORMER
If the doorchime does not work, check
the atteries and also that the ell
wire is connected to the correct
terminals. Do not use terminal
marked B.
Your KingShield Doorchime & Bell
Pushes are guaranteed for 12 months
from the date of purchase. Please
retain your till receipt as proof of
purchase. This is in addition to your
statutory rights.

3. Fix the ase to the doorframe
using two of the screws and
fixings provided. Try to position the
door push in an unexposed place
to protect it from ad weather.
4. Snap the cover ack on if
appropriate.
An alternative ell push can e used
with this doorchime, please follow the
instructions on the pack.
Certain ell push models can e
converted to illuminated pushes y
purchasing either a KingShield
DPL12A-C or DPL13A-C ell push
utton separately. Please Note:For
illuminated ell pushes, a ell
transformer must e used. KingShield
models - DP050A-C, DP050AC-C,
DP080A-C are all suita le to convert to
illuminated ell pushes.
Simply press the utton on the ack
through the front panel of the door
push and swap it with the DPL12A-C
or DPL13A-C utton. Wire up a ell
transformer following Step 4.
For us with an illuminat d b ll push.
Only an 8Volt 1Amp transformer is
recommended, (KingShield Model
DAT01A). Please carefully follow the
manufacturer’s instructions - use
terminals C and D on the doorchime
case to connect up the transformer.
Remove the atteries from the
doorchime and ensure the power is
switched off at the mains efore
attempting any wiring.
