OB-23 MANUAL
Thank you for purchasing the OB-23 OBD 3-Way Splitter. Please read this manual in its
entirety before using the product. Be sure to store this manual in a safe place, as you may
need to reference it in the future.
After connecting the OB-23 harness and mounting it to the car, take care that it does not
come in contact with the vehicle’s moving parts, especially the brake and accelerator
pedals. Failure to comply with this may result in an electrical short, fire, or vehicle
breakdown that could result in bodily injury and/or property damage.
WARNING
DANGER Mishandling may cause bodily harm!
• This product was designed for use with our firm’s DIGI-LINK CAN-BUS products. When
attaching third-party devices to the OB-23, you must ensure those devices will not draw
more electric current than specified by your vehicle’s CAN wiring.
• NEVER attempt to modify the harness, as such could result in a short and bodily harm.
• Connect the OB-23 only in accordance with this MANUAL.
•This product is not waterproof, splash-proof, or dust-proof. Take care to prevent water,
dirt, oil and other impurities from entering the product; otherwise malfunction to the
product could occur, as well as vehicle damage and possible bodily harm.
NOTE Product or vehicle failure could result from ignoring the following:
•This product is primarily intended for use on Japanese vehicles within Japan.
• Our company shall not be held liable for traffic accidents that occur with the OB-23 installed.
•Specifications of this product are subject to change without notice.
•NEVER exceed the electrical specification of the harness wires and OBD plug when
attaching third party devices to the OB-23.
• We do not guarantee that all OBD devices you attach will be compatibile with each other.
IMPORTANT
• When using the OB-23 in conjuction with other DIGI-LINK products from our firm, take
care not to attach third party devices to the OB-23 which draw excessive current. Such
could result in large voltage drops that may temporarily impair one or more of the
DIGI-LINK devices.
•There may be some vehicles in which the factory plastics or upholstery interferes with
the proper mounting of the OBD plug on the OB-23. Carefully examine your car prior to
purchase to ensure the OB-23 can be mounted in your car to your satisfaction.

OBD plugs of the OB-23.
FEATURE HIGHLIGHT#1
All 16 pins of the factory OBD plug are spliced
among the 3 white OBD plugs of the OB-23. This
means you can connect any CAN device to any of
the 3 plugs, including CAN diagnostic devices and
of course DIGI-LINK® products.
FEATURE HIGHLIGHT#2
The wire lengths between each of the OB-23
plugs is different so as to make it easier to choose
which plug you wish to mount in the factory OBD
slot.
While pressing inward on the two tabs shown
above by the arrows, push the factory OBD
connector out the back of its slot.
DO NOT pull on the wires at back of the
factory connector. You need to push out the
connector to avoid damaging factory wires.
NOTE. The factory OBD on some cars may be
mounted slightly different than the two photo above.
NOTE. A wire tie can be used as shown above to
ensure the connectors won’t ever pull apart.

Select any one of the 3 white OB-23 connect-
ors to insert into the factory OBD slot.
Attach your OBD devices to the remaining two
white OB-23 connectors, as shown in the
above photo example.

where to hide wires. Ensure your location does
not interfere with the vehicle’s moving parts.

how to connect a white OB-23 plug to the factory slot.

• When using the OB-23 in conjuction with other DIGI-LINK products from our firm, take care
not to attach third party devices to the OB-23 which draw excessive current. Such could result
in large voltage drops that may temporarily impair one or more of the DIGI-LINK devices.
• If you attach a high-current device to the OB-23 and find it interfering with a DIGI-LINK
device, you can continue to use the OB-23’s CAN wire pair, but you will need to feed Power
and/or Ground from another source (such as direct from the car battery).
• Unstable operation of any one or all the devices you’ve attached to the OB-23 is a sign that
one or more devices is drawing excessive current, or it could be a plug is loosely connected.
