Burn and fire hazard!
The raclette grill radiates a large amount of heat during opera-
tion. The surfaces and raclette trays of the raclette grill become
very hot as a result!
− Always place the raclette grill on an easily accessible, flat,
sufficiently stable, non-slip and heat-resistant work sur-
face or base. Do not place the raclette grill on the edge of a
work surface.
− Do not touch the hot surfaces of the raclette grill with
bare fingers. Therefore, only use the handles provided or
heat-insulated oven gloves or potholders to take hold of
the raclette grill.
Clearly advise other users of the risks.
− During operation, only take hold of the raclette trays by
the handles.
− Fill the raclette trays with a proper serving; do not fill the
trays with oversized pieces of food or food that has not
been cut to size.
− Do not place the raclette grill directly up against a wall or
under cupboards to prevent the build-up of heat.
− Make sure there is a safe distance to all objects that are
flammable or that could melt, e.g. curtains and drapes.
− Do not use baking paper on the grill plates and do not
cover the raclette grill during operation with objects or
textiles.
− Never use the raclette grill if the grill plates are not in
place.
− Clean the pan holder area with a damp cloth. If grease or
water leaks out of the food or if spilt liquid sticks to the

very hot for several minutes after being switched off.

Heating up the raclette grill
To remove any production residue from the raclette grill, you
must heat up the raclette grill for approx. 10 minutes without
any food on it before first use.
1. Completely unwind the power cable.
2. Insert the power plug in a properly installed socket with earthing contact.
3. Turn the raclette grill on by moving the temperature control 4
towards “MAX”.
4. Let the raclette grill heat up for approx. 10 minutes.
Any odor or formation of small amounts of smoke are normal
and will disappear after a short time. This is not a malfunction
of the raclette grill. If this occurs, make sure that there is ade-
quate ventilation, e.g. by opening a window.
5. Turn the raclette grill off after heating it up by sliding the temperature con-
trol to “MIN”.
6. Let the raclette grill cool off completely.
Operation
The raclette grill you have purchased offers the perfect combination of func-
tions: You can prepare raclette for up to 8 persons and also grill food on the
grill plates. The raclette grill has two grill plates: The granite stone effectively
stores heat and is perfect for preparing vegetables, fish or meat that have to
be cooked with care. This is because the pores in the meat immediately close
at high grilling temperatures. As a result, the food is carefully cooked so that it
stays tender and juicy. The rotatable grill/heating plate with its non-stick coat
is for low-fat grilling. The grooved side is perfect for stronger meats and the
smooth side is perfect for vegetables in particular (see fig. B).
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the raclette grill may result in
damage to the raclette grill or other property.

− Furniture and work surfaces coated with special paints and
plastics may contain components that could attack and
soften the rubber feed of the housing. If necessary, place a
non-slip, heat-resistant base under the raclette grill.
− Never cut your ingredients on the grill plates or in the
raclette trays. This could cause irreparable damage to parts
of the raclette grill.
− Grease or water could spray when grilling fresh foods and
contaminate or even damage the (work) surfaces.
− Do not place any empty raclette trays in the raclette grill
when it is switched on or still warm.
− Do not place any frozen foods or foods containing vinegar on
the natural stone.
1. Completely unwind the power cable.
2. Insert the power plug in a properly installed socket with earthing contact.
3. Turn the raclette grill on by moving the temperature control 4to the right

Make sure that the raclette grill is switched off before connect-
ing it to a socket or disconnecting it from the grid.
4. Brush the grill/heating plate 1and the raclette trays 6with a
small amount of cooking oil.
If you only want to use the grill/heating plate as a heating
plate for food in suitable containers, you do not need to brush
it with cooking oil.
The raclette grill needs approx. 5–10 minutes to heat up.
5. Place the food you intend to grill on the grill/heating plate 1and the
granite stone with fat collecting tray 2and fill the raclette trays with the
desired ingredients. Then place them on the pan holder area 5of the

Ingredients and recipes
Let your imagination run wild when choosing and combining ingredients.
However, we would like to share some tips and suggestions with you:
• Cheeses
Raclette cheese should contain at least 45%fat in dry matter and only a
minimal amount of water. This will ensure that it melts quickly and remains
creamy. Special raclette cheese is ideal; however, you can also use the
cheeses listed below:
Appenzeller, Comté, Danbo, Edam cheese, Emmentaler, Gouda of medium
maturity, Gruyère, Havarti, Original Riches Monts, Samso or Tilsiter
Calculate about 7–10oz (200–300g) of cheese per person. If possible, have
your retailer cut the cheese into slices about 0.1inch (3mm) thick.
• Side dishes
Jacket potatoes are traditionally served as side dish. But you can also eat
raclette with bread. Spices like pepper, paprika, onion rings, crushed garlic
cloves, caraway etc. complement the flavor. Tomatoes, bell peppers, corn,
onions, mushrooms, cucumbers, zucchini, asparagus, salami, shrimp or ham
are suitable when cooking raclette. Bananas or pineapple are also suitable
ingredients.
• Recipes
• Shrimp with asparagus
Place a slice of raclette cheese in the raclette pan and then top it with shelled
shrimp. Let the melted cheese slide over the sliced potatoes and asparagus
tips.

• Feta cheese and olives
Place a slice of feta cheese and a few black olives in the raclette pan and top
it off with some thyme. Let the melted cheese slide over the sliced potatoes.
• Apples and onions
Place apple slices and onion rings on the raclette cheese and let the cheese
melt.
• Tartar
Prepare tartar with chopped onions, chives, egg yolk, salt, pepper and
tabasco and then top a slice of raclette cheese with it.
• Salami
Cut bell pepper, onions and garlic into small pieces and pan fry them until
translucent.
Then add this mixture along with the diced salami to a raclette pan and melt
raclette cheese on it.
Cleaning
