INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE FIRST USE
STEP 1: Before connecting to the mains power supply, wipe the exterior surface of the iron
with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
STEP 2: To remove any impurities that may have occurred during the manufacturing
process, it is best to use the iron on an old piece of cloth, making sure that it is on the
highest temperature setting suitable for the material.
STEP 3: Plug in and switch on the iron at the mains power supply, place the iron onto the
cloth and then press the steam trigger 2–3 times, waiting approx. 5 seconds in-between
each burst; this will remove any impurities from the ceramic soleplate.
Do not immerse the iron in water or any other liquid.
Note: When using the iron for the first time, a slight odour
and a small amount of smoke may be emitted. This is
normal and will soon subside. Allow for sucient ventilation
around the iron when it is in use.
FILLING THE WATER TANK
STEP 1: Switch o and unplug the iron from the mains power supply.
STEP 2: Check that the steam control switch is set to the ‘o’ position.
STEP 3: Allow the soleplate to cool, place the iron on a flat, stable surface and open the
water tank cap.
STEP 4: Fill the measuring jug with water. Carefully pour the contents of the measuring
jug into the water tank. Do not fill the water past the max. fill mark.
STEP 5: Close the water tank cap.
Caution: Do not fill the water tank past the max. fill mark; it is
best to check the water level when the iron is on the heel rest.
Warning: Never add descaling, aromatic, alcoholic or
detergent products to the water tank, as this could cause
damage to the iron or injury to the user.

USING THE 3000 W STEAM IRON
IRONING WITH STEAM ECO/BOOST
The steam settings are perfect for eortlessly removing creases from fabrics like cotton
and linen.
STEP 1: Fill the water tank according to the instructions in the section entitled ‘Filling the
Water Tank’.
STEP 2: Plug in and switch on the iron at the mains power supply.
STEP 3: To increase the temperature of the iron, rotate the temperature control dial in a
clockwise direction until the required temperature is selected. Reduce the temperature
by rotating the temperature control dial in an anticlockwise direction. The temperature
indicator light will illuminate to indicate that the iron is heating up; this will switch o
when it is ready to use.
STEP 4: Select the required steam setting by sliding the steam control switch to either
the ECO position or by holding the steam control switch on the BOOST setting. The steam
setting can be switched o at any time by sliding the steam control to the ‘o’ position.
STEP 5: After use, rotate the temperature control dial to the ‘o’ position, then switch o
and unplug the iron from the mains power supply.
Note: The iron will only produce steam when the
temperature control dial is set to the 2-dot setting or higher.
Allow the iron to reach the selected temperature before
use as not doing so can cause water to drip from the
ceramic soleplate.
The temperature indicator light will illuminate whilst the
iron is heating up but not when it is cooling down; it should
not be misinterpreted as a ready-to-use indicator light.
The temperature indicator light will cycle on and o during
normal use as the iron maintains the selected temperature.
Warning: Never leave the iron’s ceramic soleplate resting
on fabric for any longer than 15 seconds.

9
IRONING WITHOUT STEAM
For removing creases from more sensitive fabrics, try ironing without steam.
STEP 1: Slide the steam control switch to the ‘o’ position.
STEP 2: Plug in and switch on the iron at the mains power supply.
STEP 3: To increase the temperature of the iron, rotate the temperature control dial in
a clockwise direction until the desired heat setting is selected. Reduce the temperature
by rotating the temperature control dial in an anticlockwise direction. The temperature
indicator light will illuminate to signal that the iron is heating up; this will switch o once
the iron is ready to use. The iron will only heat up when the temperature control dial is set
to the minimum heat setting.
STEP 4: Test the iron on a small area of the fabric to check that the selected temperature
is suitable; adjust if necessary.
STEP 5: After use, rotate the temperature control dial to the ‘o’ position. Switch o and
unplug the iron from the mains power supply and allow to cool thoroughly.
STEAM BURST FUNCTION
For creases that are stubborn and dicult to remove, use the steam control switch to
select the desired steam setting; if necessary, press the steam burst trigger for extra
steam. Wait approx. 5 seconds in-between each burst to prevent any water leaking out
from the steam holes.
Note: The iron will only produce steam when the
temperature control dial is set to the 2-dot setting or higher.
VERTICAL STEAM IRONING
The steam trigger can also be used to vertically steam curtains and other hanging garments.
STEP 1: Hang up the item to be vertically steamed.
STEP 2: Check that the steam control is set to the ‘O’ position.
STEP 3: Fill the water tank following the instructions in the section entitled ‘Filling the
Water Tank’.
STEP 4: Plug in and switch on the iron at the mains power supply.
STEP 5: Rotate the temperature control dial until the minimum setting is selected; the
higher the temperature, the more powerful the steam.
STEP 6: Hold the iron approx. 15 cm away from the item and pull the steam trigger to
remove any creases, waiting approx. 5 seconds in-between each burst.

10
WATER SPRAY FUNCTION
The water spray function can be used to help to remove stubborn creases on heavier
fabrics. It can also be used when dry ironing delicate fabrics that cannot be steam ironed.
To use the water spray function, hold the iron over the area to be ironed and then press
the water spray button.
Note: The water spray function will not work if the water
tank is empty.
When using the water spray function for the first time, it may
be necessary to press the water spray button several times.
ANTI-DRIP FEATURE
The iron has an anti-drip feature to prevent water leaking out from the steam holes when
the temperature is not high enough to generate steam. This is an automatic feature that
is permanently activated.
ANTI-CALC FEATURE
The iron has a built-in resin anti-calc filter located in the water tank to prevent calcium
and limescale build-up. Calcium build-up, which is prominent in areas with hard water, can
hinder performance and lower the lifespan of the iron. This is an automatic feature that is
permanently activated.
Note: The filter is built-in and does not need replacing.
SELF-CLEAN FUNCTION
The self-clean function removes limescale and impurities from the ceramic soleplate.
It is recommended to use this function on a fortnightly basis or more often if the iron is
used in a hard water area.
STEP 1: Switch o and unplug the iron from the mains power supply.
STEP 2: Check that the steam control indicator is set to the ‘o’ position.
STEP 3: Position the iron on a flat or angled surface.
STEP 4: Fill the water tank halfway, following to the instructions in the section entitled
‘Filling the Water Tank’.

heat up until the temperature indicator light switches o.
STEP 7: Switch o and unplug the iron from the mains power supply.
STEP 8: Carefully hold the iron over a sink, making sure that the power supply cord and
plug are away kept away from the iron.

11
STEP 9: Press and hold the self-clean button. Hot water and steam will expel from the
steam holes, along with any impurities.
STEP 10: After approx. 1 minute, or when the water tank is completely empty, slide the
steam control switch to the ‘O’ position.
STEP 11: Place the iron on its heel and allow to cool thoroughly.
STEP 12: When the iron has suciently cooled, wipe it down with a soft damp cloth.
STEP 13: Plug in and switch on the iron at the mains power supply.
STEP 14: Set the temperature control dial to the highest heat setting.
STEP 15: Once the temperature indicator light has switched o, use the iron on an old
piece of fabric to remove any excess water and impurity build up in the steam holes.
Note: Water may be ejected from the steam holes whilst
the iron is heating up.
Caution: Never press the self-clean button when using
the iron; only press it when the iron is switched o and
unplugged from the mains power supply and is safely held
over a sink.
When the iron is self-cleaning lots of hot steam will be
released from the steam holes of the iron.
HINTS AND TIPS
1. Always start ironing on a low heat setting and work up to a higher one, if necessary;
it takes less time for the iron to heat up than it does to cool down.
2. The temperature of the iron is the hottest when it has initially heated up and will
therefore need time to stabilise. Once the iron has heated up, allow the temperature
indicator light to cycle o and on again before using the iron.
3. Before each use, check the care labels on the fabrics to be ironed so that the correct
temperature is selected.
STORAGE
Check that the iron is cool and dry and that the water tank is empty before storing in a
cool, dry place.
Wrap the cord loosely around the iron; never wrap it tightly as this could cause damage.
