Setup
I. How to setup KLIMA ZERO?
There are four simple steps to start the transformation of your home
appliances.
Step One
Insert the adapter between appliance and socket.
Ensure that home appliance location is within the range of your Wi-Fi network
coverage.
Step Two
Download myKLIMA app on mobile.
The application only supports iOS and Android phones.
You can download from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Step Three
Create a new user account.
One myKLIMA account can only register with one Wi-Fi network.
When there are adapters in different locations, create separate accounts for each
Wi-Fi network.
This can be disregarded when pairing several adapters under the same Wi-Fi
network.

3
Step Four
Pair adapter in less than 2 minutes.
Once paired, the LED indicator should be either solid green or solid blue.
Sometimes, you might encounter an error while pairing with adapter.
Refer to frequently asked questions chapter to identify the reason for errors.

4
II. How to switch appliances with KLIMA ZERO?
Follow the steps below when switching to a new appliance under
same Wi-Fi network.
When switching into a different Wi-Fi network, delete the present
adapter from account. Then, relocate adapter and add (+) as new.
Step One
Select appliance settings
Step Two
Choose switch option
Step Three
Scroll for new appliance, change brand and model name.
Step Four
Hit OK and tadaaaa, that’s it!

5
III. How to delete KLIMA ZERO from account?
The time to delete is when you want to connect adapter with an
appliance under a different Wi-Fi network. Also, if you want to stop
using the adapter and pass it to someone else.
Step One
Select appliance settings
Step Two
Choose delete option
Step Three
Confirm your choice.
Step Four
OK, it’s deleted.

Frequently asked questions
This chapter is split into two parts; pairing and in-use.
Pairing
Focus on situations that could occur during pairing phase of adapter with
user account.
I. When should I use the Factory Reset Pushbutton?
This feature reconfigures the adapter when a pairing error occurs. For
example, when LEDs turn solid blue/green (i.e. meaning adapter is
connected to system) but the app still shows pairing in-process.
Here, the pushbutton helps reset adapter back as new to retry the pairing
process once more.
II. Why are there two dashboard icons after pairing with one adapter?
This is an imperfection which we are working to clear.
The current remedy is to select appliance settings and delete one of these
icons. Thereafter, the LEDs on adapter should start flashing blue. Next, click
the add (+) icon to reconnect the adapter. Now, you should notice one
active icon on dashboard once the pairing process is complete.
III. Why do LEDs appear to be paired but app is stuck on pairing in-process
screen?
This is an imperfection which we are working to clear,
The current remedy is to press on the factory reset pushbutton for about 5
seconds until LEDs are flashing green. Thereafter, go back to the add (+)
icon to reconnect the adapter. The pairing process should work on your
second attempt.

7
IV. How should the adapter appear when powered for the very first time?
The adapter should search to connect with a Wi-Fi network, LEDs have to
be flashing blue.
If LEDs are flashing red, this means that the adapter is trying to connect
with some other user account or in test mode. In this case, reach us to
rectify this situation for you.
In-use
Focus on situations that could occur during the in-operation adapter with
user account.
V. Why LEDs keep switching from solid blue to solid green?
This switch happens whenever power is drawn to either keep the appliance
in standby (i.e. solid blue) or operating mode (i.e. solid green).
VI. What happens when the power socket switch is turned off?
The icon on the dashboard would turn grey to indicate that the connection
is inactive.
VII. I would like to stop using the adapter, what’s next?
Select appliance settings on the dashboard and delete the adapter. You
can reconnect by adding (+) in the future.
VIII. Why is there no energy reported despite LEDs appear to be solid
green on the adapter?
The system picks up energy consumption readings of greater than 1.5
watt-hour within a 15min period. While, LEDs turn solid green to indicate
whenever there is presence of power drawn by appliance.
IX. How often are energy consumption readings updated on the app?
Every 15 minutes.

8
X. Why do flashing red LEDs appear while in-use?
The adapter has lost connection to the internet because of weak network
coverage in a particular location. Reconnect by either turning off-on the
power socket switch or off-on your Wi-Fi router.
Thereafter, give it one minute for the LEDs to either turn solid blue or solid
green.
XI. Are energy readings not recorded when network connection is lost?
Not to worry. We have inserted an in-built memory into the adapter’s
circuit design. This allows the adapter to store energy readings up to 7
days with lost network connection (i.e. flashing red LEDs). When back
online, the adapter transmits these readings to our server.
XII. What is the purpose of electricity footprint?
Electricity footprint is the estimated energy costs of running an appliance
for an entire month and its contribution to a home electricity budget.
Safety instructions
The adapter is an electrical product and care should be exercised when in
use.
❖Keep the adapter away from water and fire.
❖Do not attempt to modify, disassemble or repair the adapter.

❖The power outlet should be easily accessible.
❖For indoor use only.
❖Do not overload power outlets. This could result in the risk of fire or
electrocution.
❖The adapter should be inserted completely into power outlets. Failure to
do so could result in excessive heat causing a fire breakout.
❖Regularly clean dust from the adapter by removing from power outlet and
wiping it down with a dry cloth. Whenever dust accumulates it may cause
an insulation defect resulting in fire.

9
❖Unplug from power outlet when the adapter emits smoke, has an abnormal
smell or makes an unusual noise.
❖Do not use the adapter it plastic casing is broken. This may cause
electrocution.
❖Never touch the adapter with wet hands.
❖Do not expose the adapter to rain or excessive moisture.
❖Do not use the adapter at a refueling point.
❖Never place metal objects inside the adapter. If metal object enters, turn
off the circuit breaker and contact an authorized electrician.
❖The adapter is not intended to be used when providing medical care.
Consult the provider of any medical devices, such as pacemakers or
heading aids to determine if they are adequately shielded from external
radio frequency energy. The adapter operates between 2400MHz to
2500MHz with a peak transmission power of 20dBm.
❖Use only on appliance below a maximum wattage of 2.9kW.
