Before You Begin
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury or product damage. Large
sinks are very heavy. Get help lifting the sink into place.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Prior to installation, unpack the new sink and inspect it for
damage. Return the sink to its protective carton until you are
ready to install it.
Inspect the drain and supply tubing. Replace if necessary.
If possible, assemble the faucet and drain assembly to the sink
before installing the sink.
Specialized tools may be required if installing this sink to
materials other than wood or wood composites.
Use these instructions for self-rimming and undercounter
installations. Follow only the instructions that apply to your
installation.
Due to the nature of undercounter installations, Kohler Co.
recommends that undercounter sink installations be performed by
trained and experienced installers.

Before You Begin (cont.)
For a replacement installation, make sure the existing cutout is
the same size or smaller than the cutout for the new sink.
For undercounter installations: Plan the sink installation so
future removal from underneath the countertop is possible
without damaging the countertop.
For undercounter installations: To avoid damaging the
countertop when removing the sink, the Sink Undermounter Kit
(K-5806/07) is recommended.

1. Preparation
Install the water supplies and drain piping according to the
roughing-in information.
Install the faucet and strainer(s) to the sink according to the
manufacturer’s instructions.
Cut the paper template along the line indicated for either
self-rimming or undercounter dependant on your particular
installation.
Position the sink template on the countertop. If desired, tape in
place.
Using a soft lead pencil, trace around the cut-out template.
2. Prepare the Site
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not cut, drill, or sand
the countertop while positioned over the fixture.
Drill holes at the four corners of the template tracing. Stay inside
the pencil line.
Carefully cut along the inside of the pencil line to cut out the
opening in the countertop.
Sand the edge of the cutout to smooth the surface and remove all
saw marks. For laminate-type countertops, waterproof all
unprotected areas of wood.
Clean the countertop so it is free from grease and debris.

3. Locate Faucet Centerline
Self-Rimming Installations
NOTE: The following instructions apply to countertop faucet
installations for self-rimming sinks. For installations where the
faucet will be installed directly to the sink, proceed to the ″Knock
Out the Faucet Hole″section.
Locate the faucet hole centerline at least 1-13/16” (4.6 cm) from
the back edge of the cutout.
With a pencil, mark the faucet hole centerline on the countertop.
Verify there is adequate clearance between the sink, faucet,
backsplash and cabinet. Make any adjustments as needed.
Drill the faucet holes according to the faucet manufacturer’s
instructions.
Proceed to the ″Install the Sink: Self-Rimming Installations″
section.

4. Locate Faucet Centerline
Undercounter Installations
NOTE: The following instructions apply to countertop faucet
installations for undercounter sinks. For installations where the
faucet will be installed directly to the sink, proceed to the ″Knock
Out the Faucet Hole″section.
Locate the faucet hole centerline at least 3” (7.6 cm) from the back
edge of the cutout.
With a pencil, mark the faucet hole centerline on the countertop.
Verify there is adequate clearance between the sink, faucet,
backsplash and cabinet. Make any adjustments as needed.
Drill the faucet holes according to the faucet manufacturer’s
instructions.
Dependent on your chosen undercounter installation method,
proceed to either the (undermounter kit) ″Recommended
Undercounter Installation″section or the (support frame)
″Optional Undercounter Installation″section.

5. Knock Out the Faucet Hole
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury or product damage. The
sink is heavy. Get help lifting the sink into place.
The sink has been pre-drilled at the factory, providing the option
for a single-hole mounted faucet. The knock-out stickers located
on the top surface of the sink indicate the possible faucet
openings.
Temporarily position the sink into the countertop cutout.
Place an object onto the knock-out sticker marking the desired
faucet opening.
TIP: For best results, use an object that covers the diameter of the
knock-out sticker, such as a 7/16″socket or wooden dowel.
Strike the object with a hammer to knock out the faucet hole.
Use a file to remove any rough edges or excess sink material.

6. Install the Sink: Self-Rimming Installations
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury or product damage. Large
sinks are very heavy. Get help lifting the sink into place.
Choose your desired sealant option from the choices below.
Sealant Option 1 provides the best seal but makes the sink more
difficult to remove.
Sealant Option 2 provides a good seal and makes the sink easier
to remove.

Carefully place the sink upside down and apply a continuous
bead of quality sealant to the underside of the sink rim.
Carefully position the sink into the countertop opening.
From under the sink, hook the mounting clips into the metal tabs
on the sink.
Tighten the hex nuts on the clips until a watertight seal is
obtained. Do not overtighten. The clips are designed to hold the
sink in position while the sealant cures, so it is only necessary to
draw the rim down firmly onto the countertop.

Install the Sink: Self-Rimming Installations (cont.)
Verify that the sink has not moved out of position and there are
no gaps between the sink and the countertop.
Wipe away any excess sealant with a dry cloth. Fill any voids if
needed.
Allow the sealant to cure for at least 30 minutes before
proceeding.
Proceed to the ″Complete the Installation″section.
Sealant Option 2
Carefully position the sink into the countertop opening.
From under the sink, hook the mounting clips into the metal tabs
on the sink.
Tighten the hex nuts on the clips until the rim is drawn firmly
down onto the countertop. Do not overtighten. The clips are
designed to hold the sink in position while the sealant cures.
Verify that the sink has not moved out of position and there are
no gaps between the sink and the countertop.
Apply a continuous bead of quality sealant around the sink rim.
Wipe away any excess sealant with a dry cloth. Fill any voids if
needed.
Proceed to the ″Complete the Installation″section.
7. Recommended Undercounter Installation
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury or product damage. The
sink is heavy. Get help lifting the sink into place.
Install the sink undermounter kit and sink according to the
instructions provided with the kit. Make sure the kit is installed
in the proper location for the sink.
Verify that the sink is level. The top of the sink should be flush
with the top of the cabinet to allow proper countertop
installation. Adjust or shim between the sink and support if
needed.

8. Optional Undercounter Installation
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury or product damage. The
wood support and frame for the sink must sufficiently support
300 lbs (136 kg). This is the approximate weight of the sink when
full and with a garbage disposal installed.

sink is heavy. Get help lifting the sink into place.
Measure the cabinet opening where the sink will be installed.
Plan for adequate clearance between the faucet handles and the
countertop backsplash or finished wall.
Construct a wood frame for the inside of the cabinet. Allow
adequate clearance for the faucet assemblies and sink basin.
Ensure that the frame will support the entire sink rim.
NOTE: Use proper fasteners and techniques to ensure that the frame
will support a minimum of 300 lbs (136 kg). Locate the fasteners for
easy access in the event the sink needs to be removed.
Secure the wood frame inside the cabinet with fasteners. The top
of the sink rim must be flush with the top surface of the
countertop underlayment or backing material.
Apply a 1″(2.5 cm) bead of silicone sealant at each corner of the
wood frame where it will contact the sink.
Insert the sink into the cabinet opening.
Verify the entire sink rim rests on the wood frame.

9. Install the Countertop
Undercounter Installations Only
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not cut, drill, or sand
the countertop while positioned over the sink.
Run a thin continuous bead of sealant around the sink rim where
it will make contact with the countertop.
Install the countertop over the sink and onto the cabinet.
Wipe away any excess sealant and fill any voids as needed.
10. Complete the Installation
Install the garbage disposal, if desired, according to the
manufacturer’s instructions.
If not already installed, install the faucet at this time according to
the instructions packed with the faucet.
If not already installed, install the drain assembly at this time
according to the instructions packed with the drain.
Connect and tighten the trap to the drain assembly, and complete
the water supply connections to the faucet according to the
instructions packed with the faucet.
Run water into the sink and check for leaks.
Clean up with a non-abrasive cleaner.

Avant l’installation, déballer le nouvel évier et l’examiner pour en
déceler tout dommage. Remettre l’évier dans son emballage
jusqu’à être prêt à l’installer.
Inspecter le drain et la tuyauterie d’alimentation. Remplacer si
nécessaire.

Si possible, assembler le robinet et l’ensemble du drain à l’évier
avant d’installer l’évier.
Des outils spécialisés peuvent être requis si cet évier est installé à
des matériaux autres que bois ou bois composites.
Utiliser ces instructions pour rebord intégré et installations sous
comptoir. Suivre uniquement les instructions qui s’appliquent à
votre installation.
Vu la nature particulière des installations sous comptoir, Kohler
Co. recommande que les installations des éviers sous comptoir
soient effectuées par des installateurs formés et expérimentés.
Pour une installation de remplacement, s’assurer que la découpe
existante soit de taille égale ou inférieure à celle du nouvel évier.
Pour des installations sous comptoir: Planifier l’installation de
l’évier de façon à ce qu’un futur démontage d’en-dessous le
comptoir soit possible sans dommages.
Pour des installations sous comptoir: À fin d’éviter un
endommagement du comptoir pendant le démontage de l’évier, le
kit de montage d’évier sous-comptoir (K-5806/07) est
recommandé.

1. Préparation
Installer les alimentations d’eau et tuyauterie du drain selon
l’information du plan de raccordement.
Installer le robinet et la(les) crépine(s) à l’évier conformément aux
instructions du fabricant.
Découper le gabarit en papier le long de la ligne indiquée pour
encastrement ou sous comptoir selon l’installation particulière.
Positionner le gabarit de l’évier sur le comptoir. Si désiré,
maintenir en place à l’aide de ruban adhésif.
A l’aide d’un crayon à mine douce, tracer autour du gabarit de
découpe.
2. Préparer le site
ATTENTION : Risque d’endommagement du produit. Ne pas
découper, ni percer ou poncer le comptoir lorsqu’il est positionné
sur l’installation.
Percer des trous aux quatre coins du plan tracé. Rester à
l’intérieur de la ligne tracée au crayon.
Découper délicatement le long de la ligne intérieure au crayon.
pour découper l’ouverture dans le comptoir.
Poncer les bords de la découpe pour lisser la surface et retirer
toutes marques de scie. Pour les revêtements en contreplaqué,
imperméabiliser les surfaces du bois non protégées.

3. Localiser l’axe central du robinet
Installations à rebord intégrés
REMARQUE : Les instructions suivantes s’appliquent à des
installations de robinet sur comptoir pour éviers à rebords intégrés.
Pour des installations de robinet directement sur l’évier, procéder à
la section ″Neutraliser l’orifice du robinet″.
Localiser l’axe central de l’orifice du robinet à au moins 1-13/16”
(4,6 cm) du rebord arrière de la découpe.
Avec un crayon, marquer l’emplacement de l’axe central de
l’orifice du robinet sur le comptoir.
Vérifier qu’il y ait un espace adéquat entre l’évier, le robinet, le
dosseret et le meuble. Faire les ajustements si nécessaire.
Percer les orifices du robinet selon les instructions du fabricant.
Procéder à ″Installer l’évier: installations à rebord intégrés″.

4. Localiser l’axe central du robinet
Installations sous comptoir
REMARQUE : Les instructions suivantes s’appliquent à des
installations de robinet sur comptoir pour éviers à sous comptoir.
Pour des installations de robinet directement sur l’évier, procéder à
la section ″Neutraliser l’orifice du robinet″.
Localiser l’axe central de l’orifice du robinet à au moins 3” (7,6
cm) du rebord arrière de la découpe.
Avec un crayon, marquer l’emplacement de l’axe central de
l’orifice du robinet sur le comptoir.
Vérifier qu’il y ait un espace adéquat entre l’évier, le robinet, le

5. Dégager l’orifice du robinet
ATTENTION : Risque de blessure corporelle ou
d’endommagement du produit. L’évier est lourd. Demander de
l’aide pour soulever et mettre en place l’évier.
L’évier a été préalablement percé en usine, donnant ainsi l’option
de robinet à orifice unique monté. Les étiquettes amovibles
localisées sur la surface de l’évier indiquent les ouvertures
possibles du robinet.
Placer temporairement l’évier dans la découpe du comptoir.
Placer un objet sur l’étiquette pour marquer l’ouverture désirée
du robinet.
CONSEIL: Pour de meilleurs résultats, utiliser un objet qui couvre le
diamètre de l’étiquette, tel que douille de 7/16″ou tourillon en bois.
Cogner l’objet avec un marteau pour dégager le trou du robinet.
Utiliser une lime pour retirer tout rebord rugueux ou excès de
matériau de l’évier.
Retirer l’évier de l’ouverture de la découpe.

6. Installer l’évier: Installations à rebords intégrés
ATTENTION : Risque de blessure corporelle ou
d’endommagement du produit. Les éviers larges sont très
lourds. Demander de l’aide pour soulever et mettre en place
l’évier.
Choisir l’option d’étanchéité désirée des choix ci-dessous.
Option d’étanchéité 1 fournit la meilleure étanchéité mais rend
l’évier plus difficile à retirer.
Option d’étanchéité 2 fournit une bonne étanchéité et rend l’évier
facile à retirer.

Placer délicatement l’évier à l’envers et appliquez un lit continue
d’étanchéité d’une bonne qualité sous du rebord de l’évier.
Placer soigneusement l’évier dans l’ouverture du comptoir.
Accrocher les clips de montage dans les languettes en métal de
l’évier d’en dessous du comptoir.

Installer l’évier: Installations à rebords intégrés (cont.)
Serrer les écrous hexagonaux sur les clips de façon à obtenir une
étanchéité. Ne pas trop serrer. Les clips sont conçus pour
maintenir l’évier en position pendant que le mastic solidifie, il
n’est donc nécessaire que de pousser vers le bas le rebord sur le
comptoir.
Vérifier que l’évier n’ait pas bougé de sa position et qu’il n’y ait
pas d’espace entre l’évier et le comptoir.
Essuyer tout excédent de mastic à l’aide d’un chiffon sec.
Colmater tout vide au besoin.
Laisser prendre le mastic pendant au moins 30 minutes avant de
continuer.
Procéder à la section ″Compléter l’installation″.
Option d’étanchéité 2
Placer soigneusement l’évier dans l’ouverture du comptoir.
Accrocher les clips de montage dans les languettes en métal de
l’évier d’en dessous du comptoir.
Serrer les écrous hexagonaux sur les clips jusqu’à ce que le rebord
soit fermement contre le comptoir. Ne pas trop serrer. Les clips
sont conçus pour maintenir l’évier en position pendant que le
mastic prenne.
Vérifier que l’évier n’ait pas bougé de sa position et qu’il n’y ait
pas d’espace entre l’évier et le comptoir.
Appliquer un boudin continu de mastic de qualité autour du
rebord de l’évier.
Essuyer tout excédent de mastic à l’aide d’un chiffon sec.
Colmater tout vide au besoin.
Procéder à la section ″Compléter l’installation″.
7. Installation sous comptoir recommandée
ATTENTION : Risque de blessure corporelle ou
d’endommagement du produit. L’évier est lourd. Demander de
l’aide pour soulever et mettre en place l’évier.
Installer le kit de montage sous comptoir et l’évier selon les
instructions fournies avec le kit. S’assurer que le kit soit installé à
l’espace approprié de l’évier.
