Frequently asked
questions
Why are all the buttons flashing at a fast rate?
This indicates a fault. Switch off the machine and unplug the mains cord from the wall socket.
Why is the drink not dispensed properly?
Check that the spent capsule container is not full. Press the lever down completely. If necessary,
descale the machine – refer to the section “Descaling the machine”.
Why is the drink dispensed with delay?
The machine is still heating up.
What do I do if the spent capsule container is overfull and jammed?
Try to remove the spent capsule container by jogging the container gently to and fro. The spent
capsule container will only hold up to 10 spent capsules and needs to be regularly emptied.
Why is the drink not hot enough?
Preheat the cup. If necessary descale the machine – refer to the section “Descaling the machine”.
Why does the machine switch itself off suddenly when it is used intensively?
If used intensively, the machine may switch itself off as protection against overheating. In this case,
allow the machine to cool down for approximately 30 minutes before using it again.
What happens if I lose or break a part of the coffee machine?
Where can I obtain suitable cleaner and descaler?
Only liquid cleaning and descaling solution (not tablets) should be used in the K-fee System machine.

How often should I descale the machine?
We recommend that you descale your machine approximately once a month or as required. The fre-
quency depends on the water hardness and how frequently the machine is used. Never use vinegar,
vinegar cleaners or citric acid as they can result in damage to the machine. Only use a descaling
solution (not tablets).
The machine only works
with beverage capsules that
bear the K-fee System logo.

Information on Automatic Switch-off
The machine switches off automatically if it is
unused for more than 5 minutes. Please remem-
ber that the machine uses power as long as it is
plugged into the mains socket (< 0.5 W/h).

Safety Instructions
If you fail to comply with the operating
instructions and safety instructions, the
machine may become dangerous to operate.
Please keep the operating instructions in a
safe place.
Do not start the machine if it is damaged or
if it does not work properly. In this case im-
mediately unplug the mains plug from the
wall socket and call the K-fee System Service
Hotline.
The machine is designed and manufactured for
domestic use. The manufacturer assumes no
liability for consequences arising from com-
mercial use, use not in compliance with its
intended purpose or noncompliance with the
operating manual. This machine is intended to
make hot drinks as stipulated in the operat-
ing instructions. The machine is intended for
domestic use, for use in rest rooms in offices,
businesses and other work facilities, on farms,
for guests in hotels, motels and other accom-
modation or in bed and breakfast amenities.
The machine may only be used for its intended
purpose.
In case of long periods of absence, vacation
etc., the machine must be emptied, rinsed and
cleaned and the mains plug must be removed
from the socket.
The mains voltage must match the specifica-
tions on the nameplate. Only plug the machine
to a grounded 3-pin wall socket.
The warranty becomes null and void if the ma-
chine is plugged to an incorrect mains volt-
age.
Do not damage the mains cord by placing it
on or near hot objects or over sharp edges. Do
not allow the mains cord to hang down (risk
of tripping). Do not touch the mains cord with
wet hands. Never unplug the machine by pull-
ing the mains cord. If the mains cord shows
signs of damage, do not start the machine.
Do not place the machine on a hot surface
(e.g. cooker) or operate it next to heat sourc-
es or fires. Do not place the machine on its
mains cord. Always place the machine on a
stable and flat surface.
For health reasons, only fill the water tank
with fresh drinking water.
How to avoid injuries and scalds when
using the machine.
Do not leave the machine unattended during
beverage preparation. The machine is not in-
tended for use by children or persons who suf-
fer from physical, sensory or mental disabili-
ties or who have no experience or knowledge
in handling this machine. These persons must
inform supervisors responsible for their safety
or they must be supervised while operating
the machine. Children must be supervised to
ensure they do not play with the machine.
Never open the lever on the machine during
the brewing, rinsing, cleaning or descaling
processes. Never place your fingers under the
spout while a beverage is being prepared –
this may result in scalding. Never insert your
fingers in the capsule insertion opening - this
may result in injury.
Never operate the machine without its drip
tray or drip grating. Do not overfill the water
tank. Never lift the machine by its lever. Store
the machine and all its accessories outside the
reach of children.
Never open the machine or insert objects into
the machine openings. Apart from normal
use, cleaning, descaling and external clean-
ing, all other work such as repairs or replac-
ing the mains cord may only be carried out
by Kruger ANZ or by an authorized Customer
Service company in order to avoid hazards.
Before cleaning the exterior of the machine,
unplug the mains cord and allow the machine
to cool down. Do not clean the machine or
the mains cord or the mains plug with water
and do not immerse the machine in water. Do
not clean the machine under flowing water.
Never place the machine or its parts in the
dishwasher.
Refer to the instructions supplied with the
cleaning and descaling solution before use
and comply with the safety instructions.
Never use a damaged or deformed capsule.
Only use beverage capsules that bear the
K-fee logo.

Disposal Instructions
The packaging is recyclable. Ask the
responsible authorities in your local
council offices for further information
about recycling.
Environmental protection has priority!
The machine is made of valuable materials
that are recyclable. For this reason, only dis-
pose of the machine at a public recycling yard
in your vicinity.

If, contrary to expectations, the device should
not function properly, Kruger ANZ will, within
the guarantee period and upon submission of
the purchase receipt, remedy defects free of
charge that are due to faulty materials or manu-
facturing errors.
Kruger ANZ may choose, at its discretion, the
method of remedying defects, either by repair or
replacement of the defective device.
Please note that this guarantee only applies
to the private use of the device – the device
has not been designed for any commercial use.
Furthermore, this guarantee does not apply to
fragile components such as glass, plastic or
light bulbs or to slight defects that do not
adversely affect the value or fitness for use
of the device. Moreover, this guarantee does
not cover any defects resulting from damage
caused due to incorrect user set up, improper
handling or lack of care or noncompliance with
the instructions for operation or assembly.
Any rendering of the guarantee services above
by Kruger ANZ shall not cause the guarantee
period to be extended or recommenced.

The product is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and parts for a
period of 24 months from date of purchase. Defects that occur within this warranty
period, under normal use and care, will be repaired, replaced or refunded at our dis-
cretion, solely at our option with no charge for parts and labour.
The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies
in respect of the product that the consumer has under the Trade Practices Act and
similar state and territory laws.
