TO THE DEALER
This manual contains procedures intended to assist the dealer in unpacking and assembling the
product before delivering to the customer.
The customer’s purchase is based on confidence in both the product and your store. Observe the
procedures in this manual to assemble and adjust equipment for your customer’s safety and
satisfaction. When fully assembled, check function of each part and feature.
3 SAFETY FIRST
The following safety alert symbol marks and indication are found throughout this manual in steps
where particular attention is required so as to ensure your safety and to avoid product damage.
Observe the instructions in these warnings where indicated.
3DANGER : Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, will result in death or serious injury.

avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
3CAUTION : Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not

SAFETY
To prevent accidents, read through the following items
before starting work, and always regard safety when
working. It is your responsibility to ensure your safety on
the job.
1. Preparations
(1) Select a work site which is level, sufficiently
spacious and not in the vicinity of dangerous
objects.
(2) Avoid poorly ventilated rooms. Asphyxiation from
exhaust fumes is always a possibility that
accompanies running engine.
(3) Working clothes which may be pinched or caught
in the equipment must not be worn. Loose
clothing can cause serious injury or death.
(4) Always wear a mask and protective goggles
during work when dust or flying debris is thrown
about.
2. Assembly and adjustments
(1) Before assembling equipment, read the assembly
instructions for the product to become familiar
with the equipment and procedures.
(2) Use only adequate and required equipment, tools
and instruments (torque wrench or battery
hydrometer).
(3) Set the parking brake and place blocks in front of
wheels (when they're contacting the ground) to
prevent machine movement.
(4) Lower the attachment or implement to the ground
before assembling or adjusting equipment.
(5) Before working under suspended or raised
equipment, support the equipment or attachment
to prevent the machine from falling or moving out
of place.
(6) Keep fire from cigarettes, matches or other
ignition sources away from fuel, oil, antifreeze and
other flammable materials.
3. After assembly check
(1) Once the equipment is fully assembled, select a
safe place for a test run. Prevent onlookers from
approaching the equipment.
To avoid serious injury or death:
ADo not start engine or operate levers from
anywhere other than the seat.
To avoid serious injury or death:
ADo not bypass-start the equipment. Short
circuiting the starter terminal runs the risk that
the equipment will start operating or moving
unexpectedly.

INSTALLATION OF THE TIRES, SEAT AND
STEERING WHEEL
BPARTS LIST
Note* They are packed together only when it is necessary
to adjust washers.
1. Check the component parts
(1) Check carefully for shipping damage.
(2) Check the loose parts and the hardware package
against the PARTS LIST.
BINSTALL THE FRONT TIRES
1. Apply grease.
2. Insert the circlip (5).
AAttach the circlip so that the edge side would face
outward, not inward (the tire side).
3. Insert a washer (4).
4. Mount the tire (1).
5. Insert washers (4), (2) or (3) as shown in the figure.
AWhen the washer 1 (2) or 2 (3) are enclosed, install
them surely as shown in the figure.
6. Attach the circlip.
AAttach the circlip so that the edge side would face
outward, not inward (the tire side).
7. Attach the wheel cap.

BINSTALL THE REAR TIRES
1. Remove the shipping bracket.
2. Mount the tire, and fasten the bolts securely.
ATightening torque: 108.5 to 130.2 N-m
(11.1 to 13.3 kgf-m)
AUse the bolts in the parts box.
(Do not use the bolts in the shipping bracket.)
BINSTALL THE SEAT
1. Attach the springs to the seat.
2. Attach the seat to the tractor and insert the snap pins.
3. Connect the seat harness.

BINSTALL THE STEERING WHEEL
1. Insert the steering wheel.
2. Fasten the nut.
ATightening torque: 20.0 to 25.0 N-m
(2.0 to 2.5 kgf-m)
3. Attach the cap.
SERVICE THE FRONT AND REAR
WHEELS
1. Check the tire inflation pressure.
FRONT TIRE: 120kPa (1.2 kgf/cm )
REAR TIRE: 100kPa (1.0 kgf/cm )
SETTING UP THE MOWER
1. Remove all mower components from the crate.
2. Attach the front and rear anti-scalp rollers to the
bracket of the deck with clevis pins and snap rings by
referring to the operator's manual.
INSTALL THE MOWER
1. Attach the mower by referring to the operator's
manual.
ASSEMBLE THE GRASS CATCHER
CONTAINER
Check the component parts respectively with the following
PARTS LISTS.
1. Check them carefully for shipping damage.
2. Check the loose parts and the hardware package
against the PARTS LIST.

BASSEMBLE THE FRAMES
1. Place the bag frame LH (2) & RH (3) to the inside of
front bag frame (1). Secure each side by placing the
lock collar 2 (8) in the lock collar (7) and then insert the
flange bolt (9) through each frame and secure each
bolt with the plain washer (11) and the locking nut (10).
Place two flange bolts (5) and two flange nuts (6) in the
top hole.
2. Place the bag rod (4) to the bag frame LH (2) & RH (3)
(to the outside). Place a flange bolt (12) at the bottom
with the bag rod in the bottom hole and secure with a
flange nut (13), then secure the other side of the bag
rod (4) to the bag frame with two flange bolts (5) and
two flange nuts (6) in the direction as shown in the
figure. Do the same for the other bag rod (4).

BASSEMBLE THE BAG
1. Place the upper corner plate (1) in the correct direction
to the bag frame LH & RH, and secure the only side
indicated in the figure with two square neck bolts (4)
and secure bolts (4) with two nuts (5).
2. Place the bag net (6) over the frame while paying
attention to the flat side for the correct setting (bottom
side).
3. Pull each side of the bag net (6) over the front bag
frame as shown in the figure.
4. Place three square neck bolts (4) into the frame on the
left hand side of the bag frame and into the bottom of
the bag net (6).
5. Place three square neck bolts (4) into the frame on the
right hand side of the bag frame and into the bottom of
the bag net (6).

6. Place the bottom plate F (3) and R (2) to the bottom of
the bag, and secure them with square neck bolts (4)
and six flange nuts (5).

BASSEMBLE THE HINGES
1. Place the hinge lever pin LH (2) & RH (4) and the hinge
pin LH (1) & RH (3) together with four flange bolts (7).
2. Insert the left hand hinge assembly into the left side of
the bag frame together with the attached pin spring (5)
as shown in the figure.
Pull back the pin spring (5) and insert the spring pin
(6).
3. Insert the right hand hinge assembly into the right side
of the bag frame together with the attached pin spring
(5) as shown in the figure.
Pull back the pin spring (5) and insert the spring pin
(6).
4. Insert two spring nuts (8) into the front bag frame
gently until the clip falls into the hole as shown in the
figure.
5. Insert two spring nuts (8) into the front bag frame

BASSEMBLE THE COVERS
1. Place the rear center cover 2 (4) and the front handle (1) to the front top of the grass catcher, and then secure them
(4)(1) with 4 flange bolts (5) as shown in the figure.
2. Place the rear center cover (3) and the rear handle (2) to the rear top of the grass catcher, and then secure them (3)(2)
with four flange bolts (6) and four flange nuts (7) as shown in the figure.
3. Secure the rear center cover 2 (4) and the rear center cover (3) with two flange bolts (8) and two flange nuts (9) as
shown in the figure.
4. Place the front left cover (10), the front right cover (11), the rear left cover (12), the rear right cover (13) and the collar
(14) on the rear center cover 2 (4) and the rear center cover (3), and then secure them with twelve button screws (15)
and twelve flange nuts (9) as shown in the figure.
5. Adhere the five sponges (16) to the rear center cover 2 (4) and the front covers (10) (11) as shown in the figure.
Make sure that the surface (B) and (C) of the sponges (16) are align with the surface (A) respectively.

BASSEMBLE THE CONNECTION,
COMP.LIFT ARM ASSY
1. Place the bottom plate (2) over the cylinder as shown
in the figure.
Secure the right side with six short square neck bolts
(3).
2. Secure the left side with six short square neck bolts
(3).
3. Secure six short square neck bolts (3) on the left hand
side with six flange nuts (4).

BASSEMBLE THE LIFT ARM LOWER RH
AND LH ASSY
1. Place the hex bolt (5) through the link collar (2) and the
plain washer (4) into the bottom side hole of the lower
lift arm (1).
2. Place the lower lift arm (1) to the frame. Insert the hex
bolt (5) from the frame side.
Place the lift arm collar (3) onto the hex bolt (5) and the
link plate (7).
3. Secure the lower lift arm (1) and the link plate (7) with
the hex bolt (5), the plain washer (4) and the locking
nut (6).
ATightening torque: 77.4 to 90.2 N-m (7.9 to 9.2 kgf-m)
4. Do the same for the LH arm (1) and the link plate (7).
ATightening torque: 77.4 to 90.2 N-m (7.9 to 9.2 kgf-m)

BASSEMBLE THE FRAME, BAG LH AND RH
1. Place the bag frame LH (1) to the inside of the base
and hold it by placing three flange bolts (3) into the
frame. Then secure it with three flange nuts (4).
Do the same for the bag frame RH (2).

BASSEMBLE THE FRAME, BAG FRONT
1. Place the front bag frame (1) to the front of the base
and hold the LH side by placing four bolts (2) from the
outside of the frame. Then secure it with four flange
nuts (3).
2. Secure the bottom RH side of the front bag frame (1)
with two flange bolts (2) and two flange nuts (3).
3. Place two flange bolts (2) into the RH side of the front
bag frame (1).
Place two flange nuts (3) onto two bolts (2) but do not
tighten them.

BASSEMBLE THE FRAME, BAG TOP
1. Place the top frame bag (1) to the top of the three
frame bags.
Secure the RH side with five flange bolts (2) from the
outside.
Then secure flange five bolts (2) with five flange nuts
(3) from the inside.
2. Insert seven flange bolts (2) from the outside into the
LH side and the front of the top bag frame. Then
secure those (2) with seven flange nuts (3) from the
inside.

BASSEMBLE THE FRAME, REAR
1. Place the rear arm LH (4) & RH (5) to the rear frame
(1), and insert four flange bolts (2) from the outside
and secure them with four nuts (3).
2. Place the rear frame (1) to the bag frame with the rear
arm LH (4) & RH (5) on the outside. Place the link
collar (8) into the rear arm RH (5).
3. Place the link collar (8) into the rear arm LH (4).

4. Place the rear arm LH (4) & RH (5) to the bag frame
LH & RH and secure each of them with a plain washer
(6) and a hex bolt (7).
5. Secure LH side of the frame with the spring lock
washer (9) and the hex nut (10) from the inside of the
grass catcher.
ATightening torque: 77.4 to 90.2 N-m (7.9 to 9.2 kgf-m)
6. Secure RH side of the frame with the spring lock
washer (9) and the hex nut (10) from the inside of the
grass catcher.
ATightening torque: 77.4 to 90.2 N-m (7.9 to 9.2 kgf-m)
7. Place the upper link plate (12) to the RH link plate with
two sems bolts (13) into the link plate and the upper
link plate (12), and then secure it with two flange nuts
(14).
ATightening torque: 48.0 to 55.9 N-m (4.9 to 5.7 kgf-m)
8. For the left side, place the upper link plate (12) to the
link plate with two sems bolts (13) into the link plate
and upper link plate, and then secure it with two flange
nuts (14).
ATightening torque: 48.0 to 55.9 N-m (4.9 to 5.7 kgf-m)
