ENGLISH
Danger
Exposure to extremely high noise levels may cause a
permanent hearing loss. Individuals vary considerably to
noise induced hearing loss but nearly everyone will lose
some hearing if exposed to sufficiently intense noise for a
sufficient time.
The U.S. Government's Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA) has specified the following
permissible noise level exposures:
According to OSHA, any exposure in the above permissible
limits could result in some hearing loss. Ear plugs or
protectors in the ear canal or over the ears must be worn
when operating this amplification system in order to prevent
a permanent hearing loss. If exposure in excess of the limits
as put forth above, to insure against potentially harmful
exposure to high sound pressure levels, it is recommended
that all persons exposed to equipment capable of inducing
high sound pressure levels, such as this amplification
system, be protected by hearing protectors while this unit is
in operation.

Danger
citees ci-dessus,peuvent provoquer certaines pertes
d’audition.
proteger l’appareil auditif.

This input is for balanced low-impedance microphones.
Phantom power (15 volts) for condenser microphones is always on and available. It has an input
impedance of 1 K ohm. The connector is wired as: Pin 1 = shield; Pin 2 = positive (hot); Pin 3 = negative
(cold)
This is the volume control for each channel. It sends the signal to the master mix
buss. Typical operation is between 4 and 8, dependent upon the device(s) on that channel. Please
remember that it acts like a preamp, so if you are using a device that has a volume output control (i.e.: a
tape or CD player) you will need to do some level matching by adjusting the level controls on each unit.
This is to adjust the overall tone of the individual inputs. It is set at 5Khz. Since it is a cut
or boost control, (+/- 15 dB) it will add or diminish presence frequencies.
This is a send control to the reverb buss. It controls the amount of reverb added to the
input signals for that channel.

This may be used as either a high-impedance microphone input or a
line level device such as tape players, CD players, effects returns or radios. It will also allow connection
from an active electric guitar, bass, or keyboard. It is a 2-conductor input with an impedance of 10K ohms.
Both the high and low impedance inputs may be used simultaneously.
This controls the overall volume level of the mix. Typical operation is
between 4 and 8.
This controls the overall level of reverb added back to the mix.
This controls the level of the PLAY inputs (RCA jacks, #15 on rear panel).
This jewel light indicates it is on.
This is to adjust the low (Bass) frequencies of the entire amplifier. It is set to cut or boost
frequencies between 40 and 200 Hz, +/- 15 dB.
This is to adjust the midrange frequencies of the entire amplifier. It is set to cut or boost
frequencies between 200 and 2 kHz, +/- 15 dB.
This is to adjust the high (treble) frequencies of the entire amplifier. It is set to cut or
boost frequencies between 2 kHz and 20 kHz, +/- 15 dB

These are 2 conductor 1/4" speaker outputs. Total minimum load for the amplifier
is 4 ohms. You may connect either one 4 ohm, one or two 8 ohm, or up to four 16 ohm speaker cabinets
to the amplifier. Do not go below rated minimum impedance.
This is a 1/4" 2-conductor line level output. The impedance is 1 K ohm @ -10 dBV. It is
used to connect the JCLEPA4200 to either additional power amplifiers or as an additional recording
device. This line level signal is a mirror image of the main outputs.
This is a standard IEC inlet for use with standard voltages from AC wall outlets. It is grounded
and should NEVER have the ground pin removed for any reason.
This switches the unit on or off. When the unit is powered up, the blue jewel indicator
(#9) on the front panel will come on.

These RCA jacks are line level inputs for playing a tape deck, CD player or other line level
source through the mixer. Both channels are summed into mono for compatibility. Use the TAPE/CD VOL
control (#8 on front panel) to adjust the level sent to the master mix. These inputs are not sent to the
reverb mix.
These RCA jacks are line level outputs for hooking up a device to record from the mixer.
Both channels are summed into mono for compatibility. The signals are taken pre-master section,
meaning that they are before the master tone and master volume , do not include the PLAY signal (#15),
and are without reverb. The impedance is 1 K ohms @ -10 dBV.
The fuse is located in the AC inlet housing just to the right of the receptacle. Replace only with
same type and value. To remove the fuse, pull the tab located left of the fuse symbol away from the fuse
housing.
