as a “UTV”) is built with American engineering and manufacturing knowledge. It was especially designed to provide
you a superior ride and great comfort, with strong utility capabilities - which includes an on-board electrical genera-
tor system. This combination provides you a variety of travel and work solutions. Before using the vehicle, review
this entire manual carefully. If you have any additional questions, please consult your KYMCO dealer.

a variety of travel and work solutions. Because of the special nature of this vehicle, please carefully review your UXV500iG’s Owner’s
Manual so you can easily and safely use it as a vehicle, and safely use its generator functions.
This Owner’s Manual was also produced to ensure that you become aware of safe off-road vehicle operating procedures. Furthermore,
it includes information about the general care and maintenance of your UXV500iG and its on-board generator system.
Carefully read this manual. If you have any questions regarding your UXV500iG, contact an authorized KYMCO dealer for assistance.

YOUR UTV IS NOT A TOY AND CAN BE HAZARDOUS TO OPERATE.
This Side-by-Side vehicle (UTV) handles differently from
other vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs and automobiles. A
collision or rollover can occur quickly, even during routine ma-
neuvers such as turning and driving on hills and over obstacles,
if you fail to take proper precautions.
Read this Owner’s Manual carefully and follow the opera-
tional procedures within. Pay special attention to the warnings
in this manual as applied to your vehicle.
Alwaysrideslowly and be extra carefulwhenoperating your
UXV500iG on unfamiliar terrain. Be alert for changing condi-
tions and terrain when operating your vehicle.
Never operate your UXV500iG on excessively rough, slip-
pery, or loose terrain.
Always follow proper procedures for turning as described
in this manual. Practice turning at slow speeds before attempt-
ing to turn at faster speeds. Do not turn at an excessive speed.
Always have your UXV500iG inspected by an authorized
KYMCO ATV dealer if it has been involved in an accident.
Never operate your UXV500iG on hills that are too steep
for the vehicle or for your abilities. Practice on smaller hills be-
fore attempting larger hills.
Never operate this vehicle on a public road, even a dirt or
gravel road, as you may not be able to avoid a collision with
another vehicle.
Avoid paved surfaces with your UXV500iG. This vehicle is
not designed to be driven on paved surfaces, as its handling and
control will be seriously affected.
Always follow proper procedures for climbing hills as de-
scribed in this manual. Check the terrain carefully before you
start up any hill. Never climb hills that have slippery or loose
surfaces. Shift your weight forward when climbing hills. Never
open the throttle suddenly or make sudden gear changes. Never
go over the top of any hill at a high rate of speed.
Always follow proper procedures for going down hills and for
braking on hills as described in this manual. Check the terrain
carefully before you start down any hill. Never go down a hill at a
high rate of speed.Avoid going down a hill at an angle that would
cause your UXV500iG to lean sharply to one side. Go straight
down the hill where possible.
Always follow proper procedures for crossing the side of a
hill as described in this manual. Avoid hills with slippery or loose
surfaces. If possible, shift your weight to the uphill side of the
vehicle. Never attempt to turn the vehicle around on any hill until
you have mastered the turning techniques described in this
manual on level ground. Avoid crossing the side of a steep hill if
possible.

YOUR UTV IS NOT A TOY AND CAN BE HAZARDOUS TO OPERATE.
Always use proper procedures if you stall or roll backwards
when climbing a hill. To avoid stalling, maintain a steady speed
when climbing a hill. If you stall or roll backwards, follow the
special procedure for braking described in this manual. Exit the
vehicle on the uphill side or to either side if pointed straight
uphill. Turn the vehicle around and reenter it following the pro-
cedure described in this manual.
Always check for obstacles before operating in an area that
you are unfamiliar with. Never attempt to operate your UTV over
large obstacles, such as large rocks or fallen trees. Always fol-
low proper procedures when operating over obstacles as de-
scribed in this manual.
Always be alert for conditions that could cause skidding or
sliding. On slippery surfaces such as ice, go slowly and be very
cautious in order to reduce the chance of skidding or sliding out
of control.
Never operate your UTV in fast flowing water or in water
deeper than the floor boards. Remember that wet brakes may
reduce stopping capability. Test your brakes after leaving wa-
ter. If necessary, apply them lightly several times to let friction
dry out the pads.
Always use the size and type tires specified in this manual.
Alwaysmaintainpropertirepressureasdescribedinthismanual.
Always be sure there are no obstacles or people behind you
when you operate your UTV in reverse. When it is safe to pro-
ceed in reverse, go slowly. Avoid turning at sharp angles in re-
verse.
Never improperly install or improperly use accessories on
your UXV500iG.
Always wear the seat belt while driving this vehicle.
Never alter the hand and foot controls of this vehicle.
Never operate this vehicle with the overhead canopy re-
moved.
Always keep combustible materials away the exhaust sys-
tem. Exposure to the exhaust system’s hot components could
result in a fire.
Never exceed the stated load capacity for any UTV. Cargo
should be properly distributed and securely attached. Reduce
speed and follow instructions in this manual for carrying cargo
or pulling a trailer, and allow greater distance for braking.
Operation of this UTV is restricted to people 16-years of age
or older who posses a valid motor vehicle operator’s license. It
is recommended that passengers be older than 6-years of age.

VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS
Your KYMCO UXV500iG has two identification numbers: the Ve-
hicle Identification Number (VIN), and the Engine Serial Number
(ESN).
The VIN 1is located on the frame, behind the right, front wheel.


NOTE: Record your VIN, ESN and key number codes
on the inside, back cover of this manual.
SERIAL NUMBER LOCATIONS
The ESN 2is located on the right side of the engine crankcase.
The VIN and ESN are required by your KYMCO dealer to order
proper parts, perform service, and submit warranty claims. Always
provide your vehicle’s year, model, VIN andESN whencontacting an
authorized KYMCO dealer for assistance.
Warranty repairs will be declined by KYMCO if the VIN or ESN on
your ATV have been removed or altered in any way. If your ATV
requiresarepairthatwillreplacetheenginecrankcaseortheframe,
ask your dealer to contact KYMCO to discuss the situation.
KEYS
Four keys are supplied with your KYMCO UXV500iG. Two identical
keys 3operate the ignition switch. Another pair of identical keys
4are used to unlock and activate the onboard generator, access
the glove box and unlock gas tank filler cap. Record the key num-
bers, and keep one key of each type in a safe place as spares.

Your UXV500iG’s tires are designed for off-road use only, not for use on pavement. Paved surfaces may seriously affect vehicle handling and may result

Never operate your UXV500iG on any paved surface, including, but not limited to, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, or streets.

WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Operating an off-road vehicle without eye protection can result in an accident and increases your chances of a severe injury, including loss of sight in the
event of an accident.

WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Consuming alcohol or drugs before or during the operation of your UTV can seriously affect your judgment. Consuming alcohol or drugs will cause you to
react more slowly and will affect your balance and perception. Operating a UTV with these impairments may cause an accident resulting in injury or death.
