innovation the driving forces in the process. Our Ski Mountaineering boots are specifically designed for AT skiing and
racing and dedicated to backcountry skiing pursuits. For your safety we recommend that you carefully read this Owner’s
Manual and that you have your boots properly adjusted by a professional ski boot technician.

1. Warning
Skiing is inherently dangerous. Understand and accept the risks involved before participating. You are responsible for
your own actions and decisions. Exercise good and prudent judgment when skiing. Ski boots when used in conjunction
with a ski-boot-binding system may contribute to the risk of injuries to the lower leg and the knee. We cannot guarantee
that in situations of extreme danger of injury or death that the ski-boot-binding system will release. Use of a ski boot in
conjunction with a ski-boot-binding system cannot guarantee a skier’s safety or freedom from injury while skiing. Use
the ski boots and any ski-boot-binding system at your own risk. Before using this product: 1) read and understand all
instructions and warnings that accompany it, 2) get proper training in the use of ski-boot-bindings systems equipment,
and 3) learn proper skiing techniques. Failure to read or follow any of these warnings can result in severe injury,
paralysis or death.
We recommend that all ski boot fitting and all boot-binding adjustments be performed at specialized ski shops by
certified professional ski technicians. Improper ski boot fitting and/or improper boot-binding adjustments can impair
the boot-binding function and lead to avoidable injuries. If you choose to do any of this work yourself please read all
instructions found in this Owner’s Manual slowly, carefully and thoroughly before proceeding. In this case, La Sportiva
cannot assume any responsibility for damage to the ski boots or for any injury incurred by the skier.

2. Heat Moldable Liners
The heat moldable liners are pre-shaped and ready for use without any additional fitting. Over time, the liner will adapt
to your foot becoming more comfortable and ensuring high performance.
However, in order to guarantee the perfect fit immediately, we suggest you have your liners custom fit by a specialized
dealer.
During the thermoforming process, heat the liner to a maximum of 90 °C. To reach this temperature depends on the
equipment used and can vary from 5 to 10 minutes. Warning: excess heat can damage the material. Insert the foot
into the liner and centre the foot carefully. Insert boot liner and foot into the ski boot keeping the foot as straight as
possible. Insert the boot liner into the ski boot carefully to avoid the formation of creases and/or too much pressure on
the foam. Close the boot and lock it in SKI MODE. Bend your knees and hold the position, allow to cool for at least 10
mins. Raise your toes with the aid of a wedge to find the ideal heel position.

3. Fit instruction
It is recommended to unhook the front cable in order to simplify boot fitting.
4. Cuff adjustment system
You can tune to your personal forward lean preference by adjusting or removing
the wedge situated on the rear spoiler. To change the forward lean position,
insert the wedge in the lower slot as illustrated in the picture.
For a more upright boot, simple remove the wedge.
There are 3 adjustable lean positions.

5. Spider Buckle EVO™
This dual lever closure system allows the transition from
walk mode to ski in a single rapid movement without
altering the preset position. The closure system allows for
the perfect distribution of tension.
To customize tension on the lower part of the boot, insert the cable into one of
the holes at the tip of the tongue and select the desired position on the rear hook.
It is also possible to adjust the front hinge/hook for even greater comfort.

6. Swing-Lock Closure system™
Rear Ski/Walk hinge mechanism: ensures fast closure of the boot and avoids the
exposure of the mechanical parts to any kind of external impact and atmospheric
agents.
The closure uses the lateral rotation lever: from top to bottom to lock the cuff, and from
bottom to top to release.
7. Easy 2 Wear system™
The upper closure system that facilitates all the operations of fit thanks to the single lever
closure and the quick hooking/unhooking system completed by the micro-metric Velcro
band for micro adjustments. The adjustment is done by regulating the hook on the tape and
secured by Velcro. It is sufficient to make this adjustment only once: the metal ring situated
at the end of the strap, hooks directly onto the support on the cuff. To remove the boot,
simply unclip the metal ring without having to adjust band regulation.

8. TR2 Safety bindings compatibility
These models are compatible with TECH, Alpine Touring (AT) and Skitrab Tr2 bindings. To use the boot in combination
with the TR2 binding, simply remove the metal plates on the end of the heel by unscrewing the two screws. Remember:
To achieve the specific performance requested by the product, compliance with ISO 9523:2015 Ski Touring Boots is
not guaranteed.

9. Care and Maintenance
• Clean your boots with a mild soap and water.
• Remove the innerboot liner after every use and allow the liner and the shell to dry in a warm dry place away from
direct heat such as fireplaces, heaters, and ovens.
• During the off-season or when storing the boots for an extended period make sure the boots and liners are thoroughly
dried and store out of the sunlight in a well-ventilated room temperature environment with the buckles closed.
• The plastics used may develop a white surface film over time. This is a normal occurrence and the film can be
remove with soap and water and a cloth.
• Do not store your ski boots above 45° C (110° F).
10. Warranty Policy
La Sportiva guarantees to the original retail buyer for one year from the purchase date that the product is in conformity
with the specifications listed in this User’s Manual. Should the buyer discover a defect, he/she is expected to return
the product to the purchase address. The product will be repaired or replaced at our discretion. We reserve the
right to require proof of purchase for all warranty claims. We do not warrant products against normal wear and tear,
unauthorized modifications and alterations, improper use, inappropriate maintenance, accidents or if the product is
used for a purpose for which it was not designed.
