PART A - INTRODUCTION
This publication provides the necessary information for a Land
FTI 6
Thermal
Imager to be operated. These instructions cover installation, operation and
maintenance of the Thermal Imager and its accessories.
The equipment must be used, maintained and serviced by properly trained
personnel, capable of following the procedures given in these instructions.
It is important to check the equipment with which you have been supplied and
then read these instructions thoroughly before proceeding with operation.

This publication provides the necessary information for a Land
FTI 6
Thermal
Imager to be operated. These instructions cover installation, operation and
maintenance of the Thermal Imager and its accessories.
The equipment must be used, maintained and serviced by properly trained
personnel, capable of following the procedures given in these instructions.
It is important to check the equipment with which you have been supplied and

FTI 6
The
FTI 6
Thermal Imager can be used for creating thermal images and
measuring temperature in a wide variety of applications. It is designed to be
used either as a peremanently installed instrument or a portable unit. A range
of accessories are available to provide power, control, mounting and
environemntal protection. The
FTI 6
can be controlled from an IBM compatible
PC running
LIPS
software, or as a self contained instrument controlled by a
remote control unit, with a TV monitor.

Thermal Imager is supplied with the following components:
16MB Memory card
Video Cable
S-VHS Video Cable
FTI 6
Control options:
1. LIPS Software.
2. Remote control unit and RS232 cable.
NOTE
A 625 line (PAL) or 525 line (NSTC) TV monitor is required with
option‘2’. ItmustbecapablyofreceivingCompositevideo1Vpeak
to peak or SVHS 1V peak to peak chrominance and luminance
signal.

containing gasoline fumes.
Neverattempttodisassembleormodifythe

anditsaccessories.
Therearenouser-serviceablepartsinside,andthereisadangerof
electrical shock and possible injury due to rotating components if
the units are opened.
If a unit requires a service, take it to the nearest authorized service centre.
Openingtheunitinvalidatesthewarranty. Adjustment,maintenanceandrepair
of the opened apparatus must only be carried out by a skilled person who is
