1. Finda suitablelocation in thevehicle to mounttheamplifier.
2.
Make surethereis sufficient air
flow
aroundtheintendedmountinglocation.
3.
Boltthe amplifier to themountingsurface.
4.
Counectthepower groundterminal to the nearestpoint on the
cl1assis
ofthecar.
Keep
thisgroundwirelessthan one meter (39") inlength. Use 8 gauge wire.
5.
Counecttheremoteterminalto theremote output
of
theheadunitusing
14
gaugewire.
6. Counect
an
emptyfuse holderwithin
300
mm
(12")
of
thebatteryand run8 gauge
or
largerhigh quality cablefrom this fuse to the amplifierlocation.
7.
Make surethereis no fuse in thisfuse holder. Then maketheconnectionto the
"BATf"
connectiononthe amplifier.
8.
If
multiple amplifiers arebeing used, use cables (eacllwith its own fuse atthebattery)
ora

or
#2
cable from thefuse holderatthebatteryto a distributionblockator near
theamplifier's location.
9. Connect allline inputs andoutputsusing high-quality
RCA-RCA
cables.
10.
Iusertfuse(s) atthebatteryfuseholder(s).
11. Recheck allconnectiousbefore powering up.
12.
Set alllevel controls totheirleast sensitive positions andset all crossover controls,
switcl1es,
etc. to thedesiredfrequency orposition.
13.
Once thesystem is powered up, setthevolume control on theheadunitto aboutthe
2 o'clockposition, andthen setalltheamplifiers'level controls for maximum output
level.
14.
Furtherfine tuningofthevarious controlsmay
be
necessarytoobtainthedesired results.
•
Before
you
drillor
cut
any
holes,
investigate
your
car's
layout
veIY
carefully.
Take
care
when
you
work
near the
gas
tank,
fuel
lines,
hydraulic lines and
electrical
wiring.
•Do
not
operate
the
amplifier
when
it
is
unmounted.
Attachall
audio
system
components
securelywithin
the
automobile
to
prevent
damage,
especially
in
an
accident.
•
Do
not mount this amplifier
so
that the
wire
connections are unprotected or in a pinched
condition,
orlikely
to
be
damaged
by
nearby
objects.
Be
sure
to
select
a
location
inside
your
vehicle
which
hasadequate
ventilation.
•
Before
makingor
breaking
power
connections
in
your
system,
disconnect
the
vehicle
battery.
Confirm
that
your
head unit or otherequipment
is
turned
off
wbile
connecting the inputjacks and speaker
terminals.
•
If
you
need
to
replace
the
power
fuse,
only
replace
itwith a
fuse
identical
to
that supplied
with
the
system.
Using
a
fuse
ofa different
type
or rating
may
resnlt
in
damage
to
your
system
which
isn't
covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
