Digital Torque Adaptor

Safety
Ensure that Health and Safety, local authority and general workshop practice regulations are adhered
to when using tools. DO NOT use tools if there is any sign of damage Maintain tools in good and clean
condition for best and safest performance. Ensure that a vehicle which has been jacked up is adequately
supported with axle stands. Wear approved eye protection. Account for all tools, locking bolts, pins and
parts being used and do not leave them in or near the engine.
Replacement parts
order direct from The Tool Connection and not through your distributor.
Instructions
Torque Setting
Select M and Trace button together to select the required measurement
A pointer on the top of the LCD display indicates the Torque setting
Torque settings include
Kg-cm 408-2040
Kg-m 4.08-20.4
In-lb 354-1770
Ft-lb 29.5-148
N-m 40-200Nm
How to Increase or Decrease Torque Value
Using the + or – buttons the target torque can be reset.
The target Torque value will show for 10 seconds before resetting to 0.00
Memory
Each time Peak is used the reading is stored up to 50 readings
Each reading will be automatically numbered P01-P50
(P01 will be the latest number P50 the oldest)
Turn O
The Torque adaptor will automatically shut o if un-used for 80secs.
To turn o manually press and release the O button
Precautions
Store in a clean, dry place
Clean with a soft dry cloth
Never submerge in water
Do not exceed the permitted torque settings
Do not expose to extreme temperature, humidity or direct sunlight
This Torque adaptor can be used with any 1/2”D power bar or ratchet. The tool enables the correct torque to be set on any
fastener, ranging from 40-200Nm.
INSTRUCTIONS
Calibration mode
The Adaptor will enter into Calibration mode if Mem and O are pressed
simultaneously.
Battery Installation – Lithium Cell CR2032 x 1pc
• Low battery will show icon.
• Battery should last for up to 55 hours.
• Unscrew the retaining screws in the battery cap.
• Remove the old battery.
• Replace with new battery with the + sign facing out.
• Screw the cap back into place.
Power
Press and release the button to turn the adaptor on
The LCD panel will show trACE or PtoP
After 2 secs the LCD panel will show 00.0
The LCD will be displayed for 80secs before it will go o automatically
Peak
This will show the reading as the torque increases, and then hold at the
highest reading
With the power On, press and release the Peak-Trace button.
When PtoP appears – release the button
Each time Peak is used the reading is stored up to 50 readings with the
Torque setting
Each reading will be automatically numbered P50-01
(P01 will be the latest number P50 the oldest)
Trace
This will follow the torque as it is applied
With the power On, press and release the Peak-Trace button
When trACE appears release the button
How to apply Torque
1. Turn On the adaptor
2. Select the required Torque Setting (Nm etc)
3. Select Peak or Trace
4. Attach to a standard power bar or ratchet and apply the torque gradually
5. When you are approaching 10 increments before the target you will see
a red light flash and hear an intermittent buzzer warning.
6. Once you reach the required torque the red light will illuminate and the
buzzer will sound.
(It is important not to apply torque too fast as this buzzer and light may
be missed)
