Getting Started
Prior to usi g the AO-DIGICAM08 you will eed to fit 2 X AAA battery (Not supplied) i to
the compartme t o the u derside of the camera.
Please e sure that the compartme t lid is secured correctly.
The AO-DIGICAM08 ca be co ected a d be used by the PC with batteries bei g fitted.
Warning: The AO-DIGICAM08 memory is erased when not connected to a US power or the batteries are
removed. Please download all picture or videos stored on the camera to the PC before opening the battery
compartment.
Tip: The atteries can be changed by connecting the AO-DIGICAM08 to a powered US port or US charger
before opening the battery compartment. Leave the US cable connected until new batteries are fitted and
the compartment is secured.
Taking Photos
1. Press the Power Butto to start the camera.
2. Check the umber of remai i g shots a d curre t
resolutio o the mai display (as per right)*.

3. Cha ge the capture mode if required.
4. Look through the viewfi der o the rear of the camera a d place the subject i the
ce tre of the viewfi der.
5. Hold the camera steady a d press the Shutter butto . A beep will sou d whe the
picture has bee take .
6. The LCD will show 0 whe o more pictures ca be take .
7. Press a d Hold the Power Butto u til a beep is heard. Release the butto a d the
camera will tur off.
8. I Hi resolutio it may take up to 2 seco ds before the ext shot ca be take .
Tip: for best results stand between the available light source and the subject where
possible. The quality of the light will affect the quality of the picture.

Camera Fun tions
Cha ge the fu ctio s of the camera by press Fu ctio butto a d cycle through the
available optio s.
Whe the required optio is displayed, press the shutter butto to co firm or start.
Power OFF
1. Press the shutter butto withi 5 seco ds to tur the camera off.
Auto Shoot Mode
1. Press the Fu ctio butto u til is displayed o the LCD.
2. Press the Shutter butto with i 5 seco d to start the 10 seco d timer.
3. The camera will beep every seco d u til the image is take .
Continuous Shoot (AVI MODE)
1. Press the Fu ctio butto u til is displayed o the LCD.
2. Press a d hold the shutter butto withi 5 seco ds to activate the co ti uous
shooti g feature.
3. The camera will beep for each photo take u til the shutter butto is released or the
memory is full.
4. Photos are take i QVGA mode
Warning: Continuous shooting may fail in poor lighting conditions
3 Shot Continuous
1. Press the Fu ctio butto u til is displayed o the LCD.
2. Press the Shutter Butto withi 5 seco ds to take 3 co ti uous shots.

Delete All Photos
1. Press the Fu ctio butto u til is displayed o the LCD.
2. Press the Shutter Butto a d the Photo cou ter will flash.
3. Press the Shutter Butto agai withi 5 seco ds to delete all photos stores o the
camera.
Delete Last Photo Taken
1. Press the Fu ctio butto u til is displayed o the LCD.
2. Press the Shutter Butto withi 5 seco ds to delete the last picture take .
Warnings: Pictures deleted from the camera cannot be recovered. Please use extreme care when using the
Delete All or Delete Last functions.

This setti g is for the compressio setti g used to process a d store the image o the
camera.
• HD: High compressio , smaller file size but lower picture quality.
• LD: Low compressio , Lager file size but better picture quality.

*Note: The amount of images remaining is an estimate only and is recalculated after each shot. Amounts
may vary dependant on the amount of light and detail in each shot.

Indoor Light Setting
If the camera is usi g i doors the freque cy of the camera should be set to match that of
power system used i your area.
1. Press the Fu ctio butto u til or is displayed o the LCD.
2. This is the curre t freque cy setti g of the camera.
3. To cha ge the freque cy, press the Shutter Butto withi 5 seco ds.
Note: Generally Australia, New Zealand and Europe use 50Hz lighting while the US uses 60Hz lighting.
Conne ting the Camera to a PC
Device drivers a d the software must be i stalled before you ca co ect the AO-
DIGICAM08 to your PC.
Please place the supplied CD i the optical drive o
your computer.
If the CD does ot automatically start please locate
the drive i your computer wi dow a d lau ch the
Autru .exe file fou d o the CD.
Click o the Install Drivers butto a d follow the
me us.
The computer will eed to be restarted to complete the i stallatio process.
O ce restarted co ect the Digicam to the Computer usi g the PC usi g the supplied USB
cable.
Click o the I stall software butto to i stall the i cluded Photo a d Video Software
• PhotoImpressions: picture editi g software
• VideoImpressions: Video editi g software.
Please refer to the software or the ArcSoft website for instruction of use.
