Multi-Room-System / audio crossbar
The Multi-Room-System LCN-MRS (Audio crossbar) is an external and flexible acoustic
solution.
It is ideally suitable for operation in hotels, in gastronomy, in conference halls, schools,
sport- and fitness centres. 8 different audio sources, such as CD players, sat-receivers and
radio channels can be distributed over 13 outputs. Any choice of assignment is possible.
The controls are carried out per LCN command over keypads or the visualization software
LCN-GVS.

Function

Installation
The installation is carried out in a 19" rack.
The supply lines to the speakers should have a cross section between 0,75-2,5 mm². The
cable length should not exceed 50m. Even electrical acoustical audio equipment with
100V speakers can be connected.

Display
The display on the LCN-MRS
informs over the actual status of the
LCN-MRS. The values of the outputs
(volume & chosen source), equalizer
settings and diagnostics
information can be shown
selectively.
It is possible to change the
betwe en t he d iff er en t
notifications using the key on
the top right.
When the LCN-MRS is
switched on from standby,
or just been supplied with
power, the internet radio has to
reboot, which takes around 1 minute.
After that the diagnostics screen will
be refreshed.

Putting into operation
Requirements: The
and can be parameterized over the menu for the I-Port. You will find the LCN-MRS
configuration under Ports > I-port > LCN-MRS.
The firmware in the LCN-GT4D/-GT10D must have at least version 6.x to be able
to show the dynamic text.
Settings: The following points should be preset
LCN-MRS will be recognized as a module with an LCN-PRO version 5
Note:
Please be aware, that a larges amount of telegrams could be sent when switching
over the sources, especially when more than one output channel is located in a
synchronized group. To avoid losing status messages, it is recommended to lock
the keys during the time that the status messages are being sent.
: Name of the inputs & outputs, equalizer,
maximal volume of the outputs and the synchronized groups.
Internet radio
To change the channels in the internet radio, you must enter the IP address of the LCN-
MRS into the address line of the web browser (e.g. Firefox). The website of the internet
radio will then open. Now a channel can be erased or added. To do this, you must copy the
link of the livestream into the domain “Add”. Further information can be found in the
operating manual of the LCN-MRS.
