2.1. Handling oftraverse deck (optical pickup)
1. Donotsubject thetraverse deck (optical pickup)tostatic
electricityas itisextremelysensitivetoelectrical shock.
2. To protect thelaserdiodeagainst electrostaticbreakdown, short
theflexibleboard(FFCboard)withacliporsimilarobject. Referto
Fig.2-1.
3. Take carenottoapplyexcessivestress totheflexibleboard(FFC
board).
4. Donotturnthevariableresistor(laserpoweradjustment). Ithas
alreadybeenadjusted. Referto Fig.2-1.

CAUTION:
Thisproduct utilizes alaserdiodewiththeunitturnedon, invisible
laserradiation isemittedfromthepickup lens.

Laserradiation frompickup unitissafetylevel, butbesurethe
followings:
1. Donotdisassemblethepickup unit, since radiation fromexposed
laserdiodeisdangerous.

alreadyadjusted.
