Operating Instruction
Adapter (Version K) for
Lightsignal-Decoder
from the Digital-Professional-Series !

Compatible for light signals with light emitting
diodes with common cathodes.
If a light signal-decoder LS-DEC will be extended
with the adapters Adap-LS-K:
⇒ is a digital control of light signals with light
emitting diodes of company Besig (with
12 Volt power supply) possible.
This product is not a toy! Not suitable for children under 14 years of age! The kit
contains small parts, which should be kept away from children under 3! Improper
use will imply danger or injuring due to sharp edges and tips! Please store this
instruction carefully.
Introduction/Safety instruction:
You have purchased the model railway adapter Adap-LS-K for
the light signal-decoder LS-DEC as a kit or as finished module.
The Adap-LS-K is a high quality product that is supplied within
the Digital-Professional-Series of Littfinski DatenTechnik
(LDT). The Adapter Adap-LS-K can be used together with the
Light-Signal-Decoder LS-DEC from version 3.0 (supplied from
2002).
We are wishing you having a good time using this product.
•Please read the following instructions carefully. Warranty will
expire due to damages caused by disregarding the operating
instructions. LDT will also be not liable for any consequential
damages caused by improper use or installation.
•Also, note that electronic semiconductors are very sensitive to
electrostatic discharges and can be destroyed by them.
Therefore, discharge yourself before touching the modules on
a grounded metal surface (e.g. heater, water pipe or protective
earth connection) or work on a grounded electrostatic
protection mat or with a wrist strap for electrostatic protection.
•We designed our devices for indoor use only.
The finished module comes with 24-month warranty.
Connecting the adapter to the light signal-
decoder:
•Attention: Before starting the installation switch off the
drive voltage by pushing the stop button or disconnect the
main supply.
The adapters shall be plugged directly into the two 11 poles
clamps of the light signal-decoder and secured with the screws.
The signal connection wires shall be connected to the clamp
block of the adapters.
Working method:
The light signals of company Besig are designed for a direct
voltage power supply of 12 Volt only.
The series resistors for the light emitting diodes are integrated in
the signal.
Therefore is it not possible to operate the Besig signals directly
with the light signal-decoder.
But by using the adapters Adap-LS-K is it possible to operate
light signals of the company Besig realistic and digital via the
light signal-decoder LS-DEC-DB.
The signal aspects will not be just switched over but realistically
dimmed up and down. Between the signal aspects there is a
short dark phase.
Important: The plug bridge J1 of the light signal-decoder has
always to be inserted while using the adapters Adap-LS-K.
Picture 1 on the backside of this instruction shows the wiring for
the connection of two advance- and two main-signals.
The signals together with the respective lamps are shown directly
next to the clamp blocks.
As the signals are equipped with a practical plug socket the
terminal occupation of the socket is shown at the bottom of the
drawing.
The power supply for Besig signals has to be 12 Volt direct
voltage.
This voltage shall also be supplied to the light signal-decoder via
the clamp KL1. Please take special attention to the polarity of
the direct voltage.
As described in the operation instruction for the light signal-
decoder the digital information will be supplied to the decoder
via the clamp KL2.
