Installation manual –English
1 General information
Dear client,
We are glad that you have decided in favour of our wooden garden product!
Please read the manual carefully before proceeding with the Product assembly and installation!
You will thus avoid problems and will not waste time.
General storage, installation and maintenance requirements for
Products
Storage of Products and packaging prior to installation. The Buyer is required to store a Product
after its receipt in such a manner as to ensure that the Product and its packaging remain intact. The
Product and its packaging should be stored in a dry place, avoiding direct contact with the ground and
providing protection from the weather (including direct sunlight and humidity), and avoiding storage of
the Product in a heated room. Pack needs to be opened shortly prior to assembly to avoid details getting
dirty and deformed. For the same reasons it is needed to avoid wet and hot (>30°C / 86°F) days for
assembly.
Protection from the weather. Wood is a natural material, growing and adapting depending on weather
conditions. Large and small cracks, colour tone differences and changes, as well as a changing structure
of wood are not errors, but a result of wood growing and a peculiarity of wood as a natural material.
To enjoy our Products for a long time the Buyer will need to protect the wooden products against weather
effects, wood-destroying fungi and insects. Wooden products shall not be used and installed under
extreme weather and nature conditions (too hot, too wet, very high humidity, strong winds and
hurricanes, heavy snow areas, termites, etc) or the Buyer is responsible to take appropriate action to
prevent any damages and still to recognise any harm which may be caused by these extreme conditions.
If there is any hazard of harm by termites, the Buyer should consult a local authorities and specialist to
avoid this.
Unprocessed wood becomes greyish after having been left untouched for a while, and can turn blue and
become mouldy. Therefor to protect the Product the Buyer either has to paint the Product with
appropriate paint immediately after installation or to protect the Product with any other appropriate wood
preservative or protection method (unless the painting or pressure treatment has been done by the
Producer or Seller). This demand applies also for “dipped” houses where Producer or Seller has made
the primary treatment.
Depending on the specificity of a Product (wooden house, glued laminated timber product or other
finished wooden product), the Product should be maintained as follows for the warranty provided on the
Product to remain in effect:
➢A wooden Product should be treated with a wood preservative and then regularly painted as this
significantly prolongs the life of the Product (protects wood from both moisture and UV radiation). A
wooden product (in the case of wooden house including doors and windows) should be repainted
with a generally recognised paint specifically intended for wood within 4 weeks of the assembly and
installation (erection of the walls) at the latest. Whereas dip treated products (including cabins) are
expected to become painted at least within 6 months from assembly and installation. Both first
painting and repainting should follow the specifications and advice provided by the manufacturer of
the paint.
When painting, use high quality tools and paints, follow the paint application manual and
manufacturer’s safety and usage instructions. Never paint a surface in strong sunlight or rainy
weather. Consult a specialist regarding paints suitable for unprocessed softwood and follow the
paint manufacturer’s instructions.

Installation manual –English
➢The Product should be protected from damage caused by people, animals or plants (hits, scratches,
damage caused by pressurised water or roots of plants, etc.).
➢Any holes in the Product caused by pith knots should be filled with suitable filler material for wood.
➢We recommend that you inspect the Product thoroughly once every six months.
For wooden houses special attention shall be paid in addition in the following points:
➢Wooden house doors and windows need to be processed with a wood impregnation agent, inside
and outside! Otherwise the doors and windows can become twisted.
➢Floor boards should be covered in advance with a colourless wood impregnation agent, especially
the bottom sides of the boards, to which one will no longer have access when the house is
assembled. Only this will prevent moisture penetration.
➢Roof needs to be covered with covering material suitable for local weather conditions. Roofing felt
that is included in the packages of some products is not a final product but only an underlayer.
➢Roofing should be checked regularly for leaks, and the “cold” roof construction should be checked
for the adequacy of ridge airing.
➢When choosing the location for a wooden house, it is the responsibility of the Buyer to ensure that
the Product is not exposed to extreme weather conditions (heavy snow or strong winds), otherwise
the Product must be fixed to the subsoil (e.g. by anchors) and snow needs to be pushed off regularly.
➢During at least the first three years, adjustable bolt down post supports and threaded rods of the
wooden house (if they are part of the Product) should be tightened or loosened as necessary.
➢Adequate ventilation should be ensured for strip foundation or closed perimeter pillar foundation.
Preservation of documents and data. The Buyer is required to keep all documents accompanying the
Product (incl. invoice, delivery note, CMR, assembly manual with inspection sheet) and to ensure that
the unique identification number of the Product is preserved (the identification number is indicated on
the label of the Product’s packaging and on cover page of the assembly manual). The Seller has the
right to require the Buyer to append these documents to any complaint. Failure to provide these
documents will invalidate a complaint or warranty claim.
Product-specific use and maintenance requirements. In addition to the provisions of this section,
the Buyer is required to follow the requirements arising from the documentation and manuals that
accompany the Product when storing, using and maintaining the Product. The Buyer is solely
responsible for ensuring that the installation and further use of the Product complies with local laws and
(construction) regulations and, if necessary, apply for the necessary permits.

Installation manual –English
2 Preparation for assembly
Tools and preparation of components
To assemble the garden house, you will need the following tools:
ADVICE: To avoid splinters, we recommend that you wear the corresponding protective gloves during
the assembly process.
Please ensure, that you have in minimum two people to assemble and install the product!
Depending on a product the process of the assembly might take more than one day!
Preparation of components:
Sort the components based on
the wall plans (see Technical
specifications) and place them
at the four sides of the house in
the installation sequence.
ATTENTION: Never place the
components directly on grass or
a muddy surface because it will
be very difficult or even
impossible to clean them up
later!
Foundation
A good foundation is the most important aspect guaranteeing the duration and safety of your house.
Only a completely level, rectangular and bearing foundation will ensure problem-free installation of the
house, its stability and especially the matching of the doors. With a good foundation, your house will
stand for many years more.
Prepare the foundation so that its upper edge extends from the ground to a height of at least 5 cm (2”).
At the same time make sure that there are sufficient air apertures under the house floor for ventilation.
We recommend the following foundation options:
•Strip or spot foundation
•Foundation from concrete or pavement slabs
•Cast concrete bed
Prepare the foundation so that the foundation joists are propped up on every side with intervals not
exceeding 50–60 cm (20”–24”).
Consult an expert in this field or have the foundation prepared by specialists.

3 Palmako limited warranty
1. Description of limited warranty
1.1. Warranty provider. This limited warranty (the “Warranty”) applies to products manufactured by the
Palmako group of companies (the “Products”), and is provided by Palmako Corp., a Delaware
corporation with offices at 228 East 45th Street, Suite 9E, New York, NY 10017 (“Palmako”), e-
mail contact@palmako.com.
1.2 Scope of Warranty. Under this Warranty Palmako warrants to the first and original end-purchaser
of the Product (“Customer”), that such Product shall be free from material defects for a period of
five years as of the date of the invoice of the Product. “Defect” as used in this Warranty means
a manufacturing or a design defect that materially impinges on the use of the Product and which
is solely attributable to Palmako. The Warranty covers structural strength, materials and
manufacturing faults that would affect the functionality of the Product. Repairing or replacing a
Product during the warranty period will not entail an extension of the warranty period or a new
warranty with a new term. The Warranty for parts replaced or repaired during the warranty period
of the Product will expire upon expiry of the warranty period for the Product as a whole. The
Warranty provided on the Product does not cover any products sold together with the Product
(such as roofing materials, acrylic or glass surfaces, door and window hinges and joints, locking
systems or other accessories) that have not been manufactured by the Palmako Group of
companies. Additionally, the Warranty does not cover the installation or assembly of the Product
or related costs, or any damages and defects resulting from the installation or assembly of the
Product.
1.3. Conditions of validity of Warranty. The Warranty is only valid if:
1.3.1. Customer has duly paid all invoices issued for the Product;
1.3.2. the Product has been properly stored, installed, used and maintained, conform the
Palmako installation manual and instructions;
1.3.3. the Product has been used by Customer for its intended and non-commercial use only,
as described in the installation manual of the Product (the “Manual”);
1.3.4. no modifications have been made to the Product that are not in accordance with the
Product manual or use and maintenance requirements;
1.3.5. Product maintenance has been performed as set forth in the Manual;
1.3.6. Customer strictly complies with all obligations set forth herein.
2. Warranty Exclusions
2.1 The Product consists of natural woods and the variances described herein are not considered
defects and are not covered by the Warranty. Differences in grain pattern and color should be expected.
Grain patterns, color variations and color softening are a natural occurrence due to species, age,
character of cabinets, and exposure to sunlight. Therefor, replacement parts may not match older parts
of the Product. Extreme environmental conditions such as high or low temperatures and humidity, will
cause any wood product to react accordingly, e.g. by shrinking or expanding, which are not covered by
Warranty. Specifically, the Warranty does not cover:
2.1.1. expansion, shrinkage and shade variations arising from the natural behavior and
peculiarities of wood as a natural material;
2.1.2. sound/ingrown knots in the elements of the Product that do not impair the stability of
the Product;
2.1.3. pith knots with a diameter of up to 10 mm in the elements of the Product (incl. if they
occur at the edges of the elements but are not visible in the structure after finishing);
2.1.4. small fissures or cracks in the elements of the Product (resulting from drying), if they
are not transversing and do not endanger the stability of the structure of the Product;
2.1.5. twisting/bending of the elements of the Product that do not prevent installation;
2.1.6. resin pockets and caulking marks in the elements of the Product;

Installation manual –English
2.1.7. non-planed surfaces, shade variations, wane and pith knots on floor and roofing
boards, provided that the boards can be installed in such a way that these defects are not
visible after finishing (e.g. by turning the boards);
2.1.8. presence of finger-jointed details in the walls, doors or windows of the Product.
2.2. Additionally, the Warranty does not cover defects found in the Product that are caused by:
- incompetent or incomplete assembly or improper or substandard foundation;
- improper storage, handling, maintenance or use of the Product, its parts or materials by
Customer;
- modifications of the Product or any part thereof without the prior written consent of Palmako;
- too rigid fastening of storm strip or rails, screwing of door frames or trims to wall elements,
etc., which prevents the wooden elements from expanding and shrinking normally;
- failure to protect the Product against weather conditions (e.g. by means of anchors, fastening
strips, etc.);
- humans, animals or forces of nature, such as wind of force 7 or above on Beaufort scale,
natural disasters or other events with destructive external effects (such as lightning,
thunderstorm or tornado);
- inappropriate choice or improper installation of the roofing material (incl. failure to consider
the load-bearing capacity of the roof of the Product), as well as inadequate insulation of the
base of shingles or roofing felt during roof construction;
- storage of the unassembled Product by Customer for more than one year;
-spare parts, supplementary parts or other accessories used with the Product that are not
original Palmako parts and/or that have not been authorized in writing by Palmako.
2.3 The Warranty does not cover garden cabins wall leakages caused by rain and sidewind.
2.4. The Warranty will automatically become null and void and all Warranty claims will be rejected if:
2.4.1. the Customer has failed to properly check the quantity, completeness, and quality of the
Product upon receipt, if the defect in the Product could have been discovered in the course of
a reasonably thorough inspection. Customer is required to check the quantity, completeness
and quality of the Product as soon as possible after receipt of the Product, but in any event
before starting assembly;
2.4.2. the Customer has failed to inform the reseller or Palmako in good time of the defect in
the Product, but not later than seven (7) calendar days after the Customer discovered or should
have discovered the defect;
2.4.3. the Customer has used the Product for commercial / non-residential purposes, including
leasing or renting to third parties;
2.4.3. the Customer has provided false information to the Seller in connection with the Product
or Warranty claim.
3. Procedure for filing Warranty complaints
3.1. Filing a complaint. In case of a Warranty claim, customer must contact the U.S. or Canadian
reseller from whom the Product was purchased, immediately, but not later than seven (7) days
after the defect first occurred, was first discovered, or reasonably should have been discovered.
All Warranty complaints regarding the Products have to be filed with the reseller in writing or by
e-mail and be accompanied by the following mandatory data and documents:
1) name or code and identification number of the Product (these appear on the label of the
Product’s packaging and on the inspection sheet attached to the assembly manual, in the
form: PE-...);
2) a copy of the inspection sheet attached to the Product assembly manual, accompanied by
the Customer’s description of the problem and suggestions for resolving the situation, the
Customer’s name and contact details;
3) a copy of the specification sheet(s) for the parts of the Product on which the Customer has
indicated the position numbers and quantities of the problem parts;

Installation manual –English
4) proof of purchase and original Product purchase invoice;
5) clear photographs of the defective Product and specifically of the defective part, and an
explanation of the experienced defect.
3.2. Instructions. In case of a defect Customer must stop using the Product immediately, if requested
by reseller or Palmako. Furthermore, Customer must allow reseller and Palmako to inspect the
Product at Customer’s premises during regular business hours and any defective parts must be
made available for inspection by reseller and Palmako and should be shipped upon first request.
Customer must follow all instructions by reseller and Palmako in connection to a Warranty claim.
3.3. Remedies. In case of a valid Warranty claim, as determined by the reseller or Palmako::
3.3.1. the reseller or Palmako will, at their sole discretion, remedy the defect in the Product at
its own expense, replace the defective part(s) of the Product, or supply the missing part(s). If
repairing the Product is considered not feasible by the reseller, the reseller or Palmako have
the right to replace the Product instead of repairing it. If the reseller or Palmako replaces the
Product or a part thereof, the Customer will be required to return the defective Product or part
thereof to the reseller or Palmako upon first request.
3.3.2. In special cases, the parties may agree in writing that the Customer will remedy the defect
or will have the defect remedied by a third party. Customer must provide a written cost estimate
of the repair or replacement of Product parts. Only costs and expenses that are pre-approved in
writing by reseller or Palmako will be reimbursed.
3.4. Shipping costs. In case of a valid Warranty claim, as determined by the reseller or Palmako, reseller
or Palmako will reimburse the shipping costs to transport the Product or its part(s) in connection
with the Customer exercising its rights under the Warranty. The reseller or Palmako will only
