Chapter 1. eet your computer
Front
1. Microphones Capture or record sound and voice.
2. Ambient light sensor Detect the amount of light in the environment and adjust the backlight
of the display accordingly.
3. Infrared LED Emit infrared light for face authentication.
4. Camera • Capture still and moving images for taking photos, recording
videos, and video chatting.
• Capture your face images for face authentication.
Note: Use Windo s Hello to enroll your face for face
authentication.
5. Camera light If the light is on, the camera is in use.
6. ToF sensor Detect user behavior and adjust settings automatically.
7. Screen Display text, graphics, and videos.

Base
1. Wireless antennas Send and receive radio aves for the built-in ireless LAN (local area
net ork) and Bluetooth module.
Note: The antennas are not visible from the outside of the computer.
2. Keyboard Enter characters and interact ith programs.
Note: The keyboard also includes hotkeys and function keys for
changing settings and performing tasks quickly.
3. Speakers Produce sound.
4. Touchpad Perform finger touch and all the functions of a traditional mouse.
Note: The touchpad also supports multi-touch function.

1. Charging light Indicate hether the computer is connected to ac po er.
• Solid hite: Connected to ac po er; battery capacity 91%–100%
• Solid amber: Connected to ac po er; battery capacity 1%–90%
• Off: Not connected to ac po er
2. Po er connector/ThunderboltTM 4
connector (2) • Plug the ac po er adapter into the connector to provide po er to
the computer and charge the internal battery.
• Connect to an external display, storage, or data devices.
Note: An appropriate adapter may be needed for connecting
external devices.
3. Combo audio jack Connect to headphones or headsets ith a 3.5 mm (0.14 inch), 4-pole
plug.
Note: This jack does not support standalone external microphones. If
you use headsets, choose one ith a single plug.

1. Camera shutter button Enable/disable the integrated camera.
2. Po er connector/ThunderboltTM 4
connector • Plug the ac po er adapter into the connector to provide po er to
the computer and charge the internal battery.
• Connect to an external display, storage, or data devices.
Note: An appropriate adapter may be needed for connecting
external devices.
3. Po er button ( ith a light) • Press the button to turn on the computer or put the computer into
sleep mode.
Note: You can turn on the computer by flipping open the LCD
screen if Flip to Boot is enabled.
• The po er button has an integrated light to sho the po er status.
– On: The computer is turned on.
– Off: The computer is turned off or in hibernation mode.
– Blinking: The computer is in sleep mode.
