Bike Mount System For GearSpace Cargo Carrier Use

ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION
NOTE: The GearSpace Bike Mount is a Universal Bicycle
Mounting System created to accommodate and transport bikes
inside the GearSpace Cargo Carrier. In order to achieve a custom
t for your bicycle, this Bike Mount can be assembled in many
different congurations. The steps below outline some common
arrangements.
The GearSpace Bike Mount attaches to the carrier using two (2)
existing Hex Bolts located on the GearSpace oor attaching the carrier to the wings of the platform [see your
GearSpace Manual if you need clarication on these locations]. Prepare your GearSpace by choosing your
preferred installation position using two bolts on either located on either the drivers or passenger side of the
carrier. Using a 10mm Socket and Wrench, remove the chosen two (2) existing Hex Bolts from the carrier oor
as set the bolts and hardware aside. Wipe down the area with a damp cloth. [Figure 1]
NOTE: For installation of two (2) GearSpace Bike Mounts, one position will be one the drivers side and one on
the passenger side on the opposite end of the carrier.

Install the C-Channel [A] in the prepared location on the GearSpace
Floor using the removed Hex Bolts and hardware from the above step,
also including a Large Washer between the exisitng Hex Bolt and
C-Channel.

NOTE: As a part of the built-in versatility of the GearSpace Mount the Spring Nuts [F] can be installed
anywhere along the C-Channel [A] Track, however choosing one side is recommend for best storage space
savings with-in the carrier [Figure 6].
Install Spring Nut [F] into the C-Channel [A] by inserting the Spring Nut parallel to the C-Channel Track.
[Figure 4] Then, applying downward pressure rotate the Spring Nut toward it’s grooved edge until the “teeth”
located on the Spring Nut lock into place with the edges of the C-Channel. [Figure 5] The Spring Nut should be
perpendicular to the C-Channel when done. [Figure 6]
In the same manor as above, install the 2nd Spring Nut [F] into the C-Channel [A] approximately 5in apart.
RECOMMENDED FORK POSITION: Using the Large Hex Bolts [D], Large Washers [G] and Split Ring
Washers [K], install the Fork Mount [B] into the Spring Nuts as shown [Figure 7 & 8].
NOTE: Some Hardware and Parts will not be use for this Form Mount Position.

Placement of the U-Brackets and Fork Bike Mount are dependent on the size and frame of the bicycle
to be secured. Below are three common placements for the GearSpace Bike Mount assembly for
reference, actual set-up may vary depending on user needs.

OFFSET FORK POSITION: Connect the Fork Mount [C] using either rst or second hole from the end on the
length of the U-Brackets [B] using Small Hex Bolts [E], Small Washers [H], Large Washers [G], and Hex Nuts
[J] as shown. [Figure 12]
Using the Large Hex Bolts [D], Large Washers [G] and Split Ring Washers [K], install through the opposite
ends of the U-Brackets [B] into the Spring Nuts as shown [Figure 13 & 14].

LOW FORK POSITION: Connect the Fork Mount [C] to the shorter arm of the U-Brackets [B] using Small Hex
Bolts [E], Small Washers [H], Large Washers [G], and Hex Nuts [J] as shown. [Figure 9]
Using the Large Hex Bolts [D], Large Washers [G] and Split Ring Washers [K], install through the opposite
ends of the U-Brackets [B] into the Spring Nuts as shown [Figure 10 & 11].

In the same manor as Steps 1 & 2, the
D-Ring [L] is installed directly into the
carrier oor.
Installed the D-Ring two hole positions
away from the Fork Mount Assembly
into the oor [Figure 15] using the
existing oor hardware and a Small
Washer [H].
NOTE: For best space savings within
the carrier, it is recommended to install
the D-Ring where is will align best with
the Fork Mount installed in Steps 4.
Using one hooked end, connect the Adjustable Bungee [M] to the D-Ring [L] installed in Step 5 [Figure 16].

The bicycle fork mount is a standard bicycle Fork mount/Skewer system intended for most styles bicycles.
Consult your bicycle manual to conrm compatibility of the GearSpace bike mount.
Prepare your bicycle for mounting by removing the bicycles front tire exposing the bicycles’ “Fork” (refer to
your Bicycles Manual for proper tire removal).
Loosen the Tension Nut located on the Forks’ Skewer and conrm the Quick Release Arm is in the “Open”
position [Figure 17]. Lower your bicycles fork onto the Skewer and secure your bicycle by tighten the Tension
Nut and moving the Quick Release Arm to the “Closed” position [Figure 18].
Stretch and connect the remaining hook on the Adjustable Bungee [M] to the frame of the bicycle.
OPERATION & BIKE INSTALLATION:
To Avoid Personal Injury or Damage and Loss To Your
Bicycle and/or Carrier, All Hardware And Connections
Must Be Fully Secured Before Transit.
Before Transit: Conrm The Fork Mount Skewer Is In The
“CLOSED POSITION” And The Bicycle Is Properly Secured
To Avoid Loss And Damage To The Carrier And/Or Bicycle Or
Personal Injury.

We warrant this Let’s Go Aero brand product during the time the original retail purchaser owns it. This warranty terminates if a purchaser
transfers the product to any other person.

records). Any product or part thereof found to be defective within that period will be replaced without charge provided that: (1) the product was
not misused; (2) no alterations or modications were made; (3) its failure was not a result of normal wear expected in the use of the product;
(4) the product or part is delivered, freight prepaid, to Let’s Go Aero.
Manufacturers only obligation shall be to replace such products or parts proved to be defective. A Return Merchandise Authorization is
