between the Lexus app and your NX.

Contact your dealership’s Lexus Technology Specialist for instructions to assist you with
registering for Lexus Products.
Self-Registration
STEP 1. Download the “Lexus” app from the App Store13 or Google Play Store.14
STEP 2. Login using your Lexus Drivers account, or create a new account and verify
your email address.
STEP 3. Add your vehicle by scanning the QR code on the vehicle display.
STEP 4. View and enable/enroll in Connected Service trials or subscriptions.
STEP 5. View your dashboard; scroll up and down to see additional information cards.
STEP 6. Enter your vehicle and pair your phone via Bluetooth®,3 (p. 3) to link and load
your profile.

Assistant and Intelligent Assistant bring an all-new level of ease and control to
how you experience your NX. Your NX comes equipped with Assistant which
oers easy voice interaction and controls for helpful, hands-free phone, audio
and climate controls. Intelligent Assistant (available with an active Drive Connect
subscription) adds cloud-based computing capabilities, advanced voice features
and realtime information for even greater control and interactivity.

INTELLIGENT ASSISTANT
Intelligent Assistant adds advanced, cloud-based computing to your native
onboard Assistant for even more ways to command and interact with the many
features of your NX by voice. Place calls through connected hands-free devices
(see Bluetooth®,3 p. 3), control music, climate and navigation functions, and
more with Intelligent Assistant. Refer to pages 5-6 for how to use Assistant/
Intelligent Assistant.
CLOUD NAVIGATION
Cloud Navigation provides you with
the most up-to-date map data, routes
and points of interest (POI) on your
navigation system through real-time updates
downloaded from the cloud. Use the voice-activated Intelligent Assistant
or your touchscreen to search for directions, find POI or explore local
businesses with route details, turn-by-turn guidance, alternate routes and
live trac updates.
The newly designed interface has been completely re-imagined and is now
more intuitive and easier to use. You will enjoy additional Cloud Navigation
features such as:
• Improved search capabilities
• Customizable Cloud Navigation settings”
• The ability to share arrival times with your contacts when paired with
a Bluetooth-enabled device
• A Trac Route Bar within the POI details that provides a summary
view of the trac you can expect on that given route
DESTINATION ASSIST
Destination Assist gives you 24-hour access to a live response center agent
to help you locate a specific business, address or point of interest. If you’re
searching for a restaurant, the agent can help you narrow your choices
by distance or type of cuisine and remotely send the destination to your
vehicle’s Navigation System with Cloud Navigation.
Drive Connect provides you a wider selection of features that advance your drive.

AUTOMATIC COLLISION NOTIFICATION
In the event that your vehicle’s airbags deploy or you’re involved in a severe
rear collision, the system is designed to automatically connect you to a
Lexus Safety Connect response center agent. After attempting to speak to
the occupants, the agent will notify local emergency services of the situation
and direct them to your vehicle’s location.
COLLISION ASSISTANCE
If you are involved in an accident or your vehicle experiences damage
from a collision, once the need for emergency assistance has been
addressed, Collision Assistance can be launched via the Document
Collision tile on the Dashboard of your Lexus App. The Lexus App can
guide you through the collision documentation, insurance submission,
and repair service lookup features.
Whether you’re involved in an accident, your vehicle is stolen, or the unexpected
occurs, assistance can be sent directly to your vehicle’s GPS location. An available
Safety Connect subscription provides you with the following helpful features. Activate
your included Safety Connect trial to experience these great features.
STOLEN VEHICLE LOCATION
Once a police report is filed, the Safety Connect Response Center works
with police to help track and recover your stolen vehicle using Safety
Connect’s embedded cellular and GPS technology. You may also contact
the Response Center directly at 1-800-25LEXUS. This may help to
recover your vehicle more quickly, minimizing the amount of damage
incurred. The Stolen Vehicle Location system works throughout the
continental U.S., Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
ENHANCED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
With the added benefit of GPS technology, Lexus Roadside Assistance
makes standard roadside service even more convenient than other
services on the market. Whether your vehicle has run out of gas, has a
flat tire, needs to be towed or requires a jumpstart, assistance can be sent
to your vehicle’s location—all at the press of the Emergency Assistance
button (SOS).
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE BUTTON (SOS)
Whether you experience a health emergency, a trac accident or another
urgent situation where help is required, a single press of the Emergency
Assistance Button (SOS) will connect you to a 24-hour Safety Connect
response center agent. Using your vehicle’s GPS technology, the agent
can send roadside assistance or emergency services to your vehicle’s
location while remaining on the call with you until help arrives

With an active Service Connect subscription, keeping up with your vehicle’s health
has never been easier. Get updates on everything from fuel level and mileage to
maintenance alerts and more via email or the mobile app. Activate your included
Service Connect trial to experience these great features.
VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT
Your vehicle health report provides important information including fuel
level, vehicle mileage, smart key battery status, engine oil quantity and
more. You can view the reports on your desktop, tablet, or phone by
visiting LexusDrivers.com or using the Lexus mobile app. For the ultimate
in service convenience, you can choose to have a dealer automatically call
you to help schedule a service or check the status of your vehicle.
VEHICLE & MAINTENANCE ALERTS
The best care is preventive. Available Lexus Service Connect provides
vehicle alerts and maintenance alerts to both you and your dealer. Should
you opt-in to this convenient service, your dealer can contact you directly
to help keep your vehicle running at its best.

Integrated Streaming allows you to seamlessly integrate your Apple Music and Amazon
Music accounts with your NX’s multimedia system for personalized music streaming.
Integrated Streaming requires:
• Active Apple Music and/or Amazon Music account(s) linked in the Lexus app
• An AT&T Wi-Fi Hotspot plan outside of trial
• Your Lexus account (i.e. profile) linked within your vehicle
MANAGE MUSIC ACCOUNTS – Mobile
To link, change, or unlink an Apple Music or Amazon Music Account:
1. Open your Lexus app and select “Account” to view your profile
2. Choose “Linked Accounts”
3. Select your streaming service to link, change default, or unlink an account
4. Select “Continue” to allow Lexus to use Apple or Amazon to sign in
5. Follow the Apple Music or Amazon Music login procedures
MANAGE STREAMING SOURCE – In Vehicle
For in-vehicle access, streaming accounts must first be linked to your Lexus profile
within the Lexus app.
To quickly change the default streaming source with an active Drive Connect6
subscription, simply wake up your Intelligent Assistant (say “Hey, Lexus”) or press the
Push-to-Talk button, ask to “change source” and state Apple Music or Amazon Music.
To manually change the source from your vehicle display, select the Settings gear >
Sound & Media > Media. Then tap the three dots next to “Default source.”

Available Lexus Remote Connect gives you access to advanced vehicle capabilities
on your mobile device, including turning your vehicle on/o, turning horn and hazard
lights on/o, locking/unlocking the trunk or back door, remote climate controls, child left
notifications, guest driver monitoring and more. Remote Connect requires subscription
after your included trial for continued use of these advanced features.
ENGINE START/STOP
Remotely start your vehicle with drive o to warm or cool the interior
based on your preferred climate-control settings.
VEHICLE FINDER
Easily locate your vehicle on the street or in an uncovered parking lot using
the Vehicle Finder map on your smartphone.
GUEST DRIVER MONITOR
Receive instant alerts if the vehicle is started or if it exceeds preset limits on
speed, curfew, miles driven, engine run time, total elapsed time or distance
from a set location.
DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK
Remotely lock and unlock your doors, receiving confirmation if the action
was successful. When you unlock your Lexus remotely, the doors will
automatically relock after 30 seconds if no further action takes place.
VEHICLE STATUS AND ALERTS
Remotely check the status of your vehicle’s doors, windows, moon roof,
trunk, and hood, as well as the vehicle’s current fuel level, odometer or trip
mileage. The system can also notify you with customizable alerts.
REMOTE CLIMATE
Initiate vehicle climate control settings before getting inside. Control
your NX’s cabin temperature, defrosters, steering wheel heater and seat
heaters/ventilators (if vehicle equipped), all from the Lexus app.
NOTE: For key fob engine start/stop: Press the lock button twice and then hold it
down on the third press; the vehicle will start or stop.

Add Lexus to your smartwatch.

DIGITAL KEY
Digital Key turns smartphones and mobile devices into smart key fobs for
your NX using the Lexus app (see page 4). Unlock, lock, and start your
vehicle within Bluetooth®,3 range of your Digital Key enabled device. You
can also give access with other drivers by securely sharing Digital Keys in
the Lexus app.
DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK
Easily open or secure your vehicle with permitted Digital Key
and Bluetooth-enabled devices nearby—no fob necessary.
Simply grip the driver’s door handle to unlock touch the
sensor on the top of the handle to lock all doors.
ENGINE START/STOP
Simply press the Start button while your Digital Key and
Bluetooth-enabled device is within the vehicle.
SHARE & REVOKE DIGITAL KEYS
Grant vehicle access to up to seven drivers at one time with
secure Digital Key sharing in the Lexus app. Invite new users,
manage access level (Unlock Only or Unlock & Start) and
revoke key access under “Manage Key & Sharing” on the
Remote Connect dashboard of your Lexus app. Invited users
will receive a link via SMS to activate Digital Key in their Lexus
app.19 Requires a registered Lexus account.
For full instructions, select “Manage Key & Sharing” on the Remote Connect
dashboard of your Lexus app and tap “How To Use Digital Key.”

Simply connect your iPhone 6 or newer to get directions, make calls, send and receive
messages19 via Siri®,16 and to get access to popular apps like Apple Podcasts™.10

the CarPlay interface. (Choosing “No”

5. ACTIVATE SIRI
CarPlay features Siri voice control. To activate Siri, press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button
on your steering wheel or display.* You can also access the Lexus Assistant using a short tap.

Now that CarPlay is active, you can tap on
any app to launch it.
If this popup is not shown, or if you want to change
the setting later, go to Settings > Bluetooth &
devices > Device name on your multimedia system
and change the “Use for Apple CarPlay” setting
