POWER TILT/
TELESCOPE
STEERING WHEEL
COLUMN
(if equipped):
Your power steering wheel
column has a four-way
rocker control which
allows you to telescope
the wheel towards or
away from you as well
as tilt it up or down.
LOW TIRE PRESSURE
WARNING :
Illuminates when your
tire pressure is low. If
the light remains on, the
tire pressure should be
checked. If the light does
not turn on at ignition o r
begins to flash, co ntact
your authorized deal er as
soon as possibl e.
MULTIFUNCTION
DISPLAY: Displays
information such
as the fuel gauge,
tachometer, engine
coolant temperat ure, the
odometer and trip meter
as well as the Information
menu, Settings m enu
and the System check.
Use the OK and arrow
buttons on the lef t side
of your steering wheel
to scroll through vario us
menu options and
make selections.
Instrument panel
AIRBAG READINESS
: Illuminates briefl y
when the ignition is tu rned
on. If this light fails to
illuminate, remains on or
continues to flash af ter
the engine is star ted,
contact your auth orized
dealer for serv ice as soon
as possible. A chim e
will also sound if there
is a malfunction in th e
indicator light.
SERVICE ENGINE
SOON : Illuminates
briefly when the i gnition
is turned on. If it remai ns
on or is blinking after the
engine is star ted, the
on-b oard diagnostic s
system (OBD -II) has
detected a malfunct ion.
Drive in a moderate
fashion and contac t your
authorized dealer a s soon

INFOTAINMENT

the right side of your
steering wheel to scrol l
through available m odes
of Entertainment, P hone,
Navigation (i f equipped)
and Climate. You can also
perform other fun ctions

SPEED CONTROLS
(if equipped):
To set the speed:
1. Press ON .
2. Accelerate to the
desired speed.
3. Push the SET button u p
and take your foot off
the accelerator.
• To set a higher
speed, press and
hold the SET button
up or press SET u p
repeatedly until
the desired speed
is reached.
• To set a lower spe ed,
press and hold the
SET button d own
or press SET dow n
repeatedly until
the desired speed
is reached.
• To return to a
previously set spee d,
press RES.
• To turn of f, push the
OFF button dow n or
turn the ignition of f.
PUSH BUTTON
START: Allows you to
start your vehic le without
a key by pressing the
ENGINE S TART/STOP
button while press ing the
brake pedal, provid ed your
intelligent access key (I A)
is inside the vehicle. If
necessar y, you can also
start your ca r by inserting
the IA key into the back-u p
slot located in your ce nter
console. Simpl y insert the
IA key into the slot with
the buttons facin g out
and the key ring up. Then,
press the ENGIN E START/
STOP button an d brake
pedal to star t your vehicle
as usual. You can remove
the IA key from the backup
slot once the vehicle is
started, if d esired.
HAZARD CONTROL

volume levels.

SPEED: To adjust,
simply swipe your
finger across the b ar.
ADAPTIVE
CRUISE CONTROL
(if equipped): Allows
you to set a ‘gap distance’
between yoursel f and
the vehicle in front of you
in the same lane when
your cruise control is
active. Press G AP up or
down to select from four
available gap dis tances.
The selected ga p distance
will appear in the message
center as a graphic display.
Once you select the
desired gap dist ance, the
vehicle speed will a djust
automatically to ma intain
a preset gap distanc e.
Note: Driv ing aids do
not replace the need to
watch where the vehicle is
moving and brake where
necessar y. Refer to you
Owner’s Guide for sa fety
information, more det ail
and limitations.
COLLISIO N
WARNING SYSTEM
(if equipped): Uses a
radar sensor to detect
if vehicles ahead of you
which are moving in
the same direction m ay
be a collision risk . The
system will alert yo u
with an audible chi me
and red warning light
which will appe ar above
the dash. If the risk of
collision increas es, the
system will increase
brake support to help
reduce collision s peed.
The collision war ning
system is active at speeds
above approximately 5
mph (8 km/ h). For more
information on acti vating
and deactivati ng the
system, refer to Message
center in the Instrument
Cluster chapter. For
more information on the
collision warnin g system
and limitations, refer to
Collision warning system
in the Driving chapter of
your Owner’s Guide.
Comfort
SELECTSHIFT AUTOMATIC™
TRANSMISSION: Your selectshift
automaticTM transmission gives you the
ability to manual ly change gears . To use,
move the gearshif t lever from D (Drive) to
M (Manual). Then, simply press the + or –
buttons on the gea rshift toggle. P ress + to
upshift and – to down shift.
RAIN SEN SING WIPERS
(if equipped): These wi pers
automatically ac tivate when moisture is
present on the windshie ld and the control
is set to any setting except O (off ). The
wiper speed wi ll vary based on t he amount
of moisture detected on the w indshield as
well as the current interv al setting. Ensure
that the control is turned to off prior to
entering a car wash.
HEATED AND COOLED
FRONT SEATS: To access, press the
lower right corner ( blue area) on the touch
screen. For heated fro nt seats, press
repeatedly to cycle through the various
settings and of f. For cooled front seats ,
press repeatedly to cycle through t he
various setting s and off.
HEATED STEERING WHEEL
(if equipped): Your vehicle may be
equipped wit h a heated steering wheel . To
access, press the l ower right corner of the
touchscreen (blue a rea). If available the
icon will appear in the touchscreen. Press
to activate. Note: The wood trim will n ot
heat between the 10 and 2 o’clock positions.
PANORAMIC VISTA ROOF™ AND
POWER SUNSHADES (if equipped):
Your panoramic Vista Ro of™ and power
sunshades are equip ped with an automatic
one-touc h, express opening feature. To
stop motion at any time, simp ly press the
control again.
• To open, p ress the button. The
front and rear sunshades w ill open,
then the roof will open to th e first
position. Press a gain to fully open.
• To close, pu ll the button towards
you. The glass pa nel will stop at the
first position. P ull again and hold
to fully close the glas s panel and
the sunshades.
• To vent, press t he TILT button.
• To close from a ve nting position, pull
the TILT button towards you.
REMOTE START: Remote start allows
you to start the eng ine from outside the
vehicle. To use, press and then press
twice within three seconds. Whe n
you are ready to leave, simpl y push the
ENGINE S TART/STOP but ton while
applying the br ake. To turn the engine off
using your Remote star t, press once.
The parking la mps will turn off. Refer to
Remote start in your L ocks and Securi ty
chapter for more informati on.
funCtIon
REARVIEW CAMERA (if equipped):
This system provides a v isual display of
the area behind the vehic le. The display
automatically ap pears in the touchsc reen
when the vehicle is in R (R everse) and
uses colors (gre en, yellow and red) to aler t
you of your proximity to obj ects. Note:
Visibilit y aids do not replace the n eed
to watch where the vehicle is mov ing.

information, more det ail and limitations.
BLIND SPOT I NFORMATION
SYSTEM (BLIS®) WITH CROSS
TRAFFIC ALERT (CTA),
(if equipped): BLIS ® uses radar sensor s
to help you determine if a vehicl e may
be in your blind spot zone w hen driving
on roads and freeways. T he CTA feature
alerts you if a c ar is coming towards you
when you are backing o ut of a parking
space. BLIS ® and CTA will display a yell ow
indicator light in your exterior mirror s
and the CTA will also sound ton es and
display messag es to warn you which
direction vehicles are approaching. Refer to
the Driving cha pter in your Owner’s Guide
for more information.
REVERSE SENSING SYSTEM:
This system sounds a w arning tone if
there is an obstacle n ear the vehicle’s
rear bumper when the ve hicle is in R
(Reverse) and is traveling l ess than 3 mph
(5 km/h). T he warning tone will incre ase
in frequency as the ob ject gets closer an d
then will sound conti nuously when the
object is less tha n 10 inches away. Note:
Visibilit y aids do not replace the n eed
to watch where the vehicle is mov ing.

information, more det ail and limitations.
MYKEY™: A llows you to program cer tain
driving restric tions on any standard key
in order to promote good d riving habits.
When MyKey™ is prog rammed:
• Belt-Minder ® ca nnot be disabled
and a chime will sound c ontinuously
and the audio will be mu ted until the
safety belt is buc kled.
• Audible and visual low fuel wa rnings
can be set.
• Certain features cannot b e turned off
such as blind spot inform ation system
(BLIS®) wi th cross traffic A lert (C TA).
• Audio volume c an be limited
• Vehicle speed c an be limited
• Audible and visual spee d
warnings can be c onfigured
at preselected speeds
• AdvanceTrac® cannot be
programmed off

BLIND SPOT MIRRORS
(if equipped): Blind spot mir rors have
an integrated convex spot ter mirror built
into the upper corne r on the outside
mirrors. They are designed to help you
see a vehicle that may be i n your blind
spot. As a vehicle a pproaches, its im age
will transition from th e large mirror to the
smaller convex spotter mirror. For more
information, refer to your Ow ner’s Guide.

MYLINCOLN TOUCH™:
Your MyLincoln Touch™ system uses a
four corner strateg y and dynamic menu
listings to provide qui ck access to features
and settings.
1. Press this area to access SYNC ®
phone features such as pa iring and
using your cellular ph one.
2. Press MENU to access set tings
for: Clock, So und, Display, Vehicle
and Help.
3. Press this area to access the
navigation features ( if equipped).
Note: If your vehic le is not equipped
with navigation , the button will be
here instead.
4. Press this area to access your
Climate control touchsc reen features.
5. Press to access yo ur home
screen. Press aga in to select from
three pop- up choices.
6. Press to access settings for
SYNC® S ervices ( Traffic, Directio ns
and Information), SY NC® App s (911
AssistTM and Vehicle Healt h Report),
SIRIUS® Travel Link ™ (if equipped)
and Calendar.
7. Press this area to acces s your
media features such as ra dio,
SIRIUS, US B, etc.
Setti ng the clo ck:
Press Menu > Clock . Press +/- to
increase/decre ase the time.

INTELLIGENT ACCESS:
Your intelligent access system allow s
you to unlock/ lock the vehicl e door(s) or
liftgate and star t the car withou t using a
key (provided your intellige nt access key
is within approximatel y three feet). To
perform these t asks, simply have the key
within range (in your pocket or purse, for
example) and:
• To unlock the drive r’s door, touch the
inside of the driver or fro nt passenger
exterior door ha ndle.
• To lock the doors , press the lock area
on the door (bla ck button on chrome
or the small bump on the p ainted
door handles).
• To unlock the lif tgate, press the
exterior liftga te release button just
under the trim above th e license plate.
• To start the c ar, press the ENGINE
START/STOP b utton while appl ying
the brake pedal.
The intelligent acce ss key also contains a
mechanical key bla de which can be use d
to unlock the driver do or if necessar y.
Simply slide the rel ease on the back of the
transmitter and pul l the key blade out.
INTELLIGENT ACCESS (IA)
REMOTE ENTRY ICONS:
• Press once to loc k all doors. Press
again to confirm all d oors are closed.
• Press once to unlock the driver ’s
door. Press again within fi ve seconds
to unlock all doors .
• Press to activate the panic al arm.
Press again or turn t he ignition on
to deactivate.
• Press twice within three
seconds to open the p ower liftgate.
• Press for remote start
features. Refer to Remote Start
in this publicatio n.
• Car fi nder: Pre ss twice within
three seconds to loc ate your vehicle.
The horn will chir p and the turn lamps
will flash.
SECURICODE™ KEYLESS
ENTRY SYSTEM: All ows you to lock
or unlock the door s without using a key.
Ensure that you have your five dig it factory
code located o n your owner’s wallet card
in the glove box.
• To unloc k the drive r’s door, enter
your five digit factor y code.
• To unloc k all door s, enter your five
digit factor y code and, withi n five
seconds, press 3 -4.
• To lock al l vehicl e doors, p ress 7-8
and 9- 0 at the same time with the
driver’s door clos ed. You do not need
to enter your factory c ode first.
SYNC® VOICE RECOGNITION
SYSTEM: Your system has an advance d
voice recognitio n system. This system
allows you to perform m any functions in
your vehicle simply by s peaking cer tain
commands to the system . Press
to begin a voice sessio n. The system
will prompt you for a comma nd. You can
say, “Help” or “What can I say?” and
the system will audibl y give you a list of
possible voice c ommands. You can also
press Menu > Help > Voice c ommand
list for a visual list on the tou chscreen,
or you can refer to your MyLi ncoln
Touch™ supplement.
SIRIUS® SATELLITE RADIO
broadcasts mu sic, sports , news and
entertainment pro gramming. For more
information and a com plete list of
SIRIUS® s atellite radio channels , visit
www.sirius.com in the United States,
www.sirius -cana da.ca in Cana da, or call
SIRIUS at 1– 888 –539 –7474. To acces s,
press the lower left co rner (red area) of
your touchscreen and then select the
SIRIUS tab. N ote: Satellite rad io
is only available w ith a valid SIRIUS
radio subscript ion.
HD RADIOT M (if equippe d) is the
digital evolution of analog radio. Your
MyLincoln Touch™ system has a sp ecial
receiver which allows it to receive digital
broadcasts (w here available) in add ition to
the analog broad casts it already rec eives.
Digital broad casts provide a bet ter sound
quality than an alog broadcas ts with
free, crystal c lear audio and no sta tic or
distortion. P ress the lower left cor ner (red
area) of your touchscreen to ac cess. Then,
press AM/ FM > Options > HD R adio > On.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE:
Your new Lincoln MK X comes with
the assurance and sup port of 24 -hour
emergency roads ide assistance. Ro adside
assistance incl udes such serv ices as:
lockout assistanc e, limited fuel deliver y,
battery jum p starts, cha nging a flat tire,
towing and winch out . To receive roadside
assistance in the United States, call
1 (800 ) 241-3673 . In Canada, c all
1 (800 ) 665 -2006.
SOS POST-CRASH ALERT
SYSTEM™: Provides audible and
visual alarms whe n a crash causes the
deployment of airb ags or the activat ion
of the safety belt pretensi oners. The
turn signals will fl ash and the horn
will sound. To deactivate, pres s the
hazard flasher co ntrol, or on your
remote transmitter.
FUEL TANK CAPACITY/FUEL INFO:
All wheel drive veh icles have a 20.8 g allon
(78.7L) fuel t ank capacit y and front wheel
drive vehicles have a 19. 2 gallon (72.7L)
fuel tank capac ity. Use only “Regular”
unleaded gaso line with an octane r ating
of 87. Do not use E85 fuels bec ause your
vehicle was not design ed to run on fuels
with more than 10% ethanol.
EASY FUEL™ SYSTEM: With this
system, you simply op en the fuel filler
door, insert the nozzle a nd begin fueling.
It is self-sealing and therefore protected
against dust, dirt, water, snow and ice.
Wait five seconds fro m the time the
refueling nozzle is shut- off until the noz zle
is pulled back out of th e fill pipe to allow
residual fuel in the nozz le to drain into
the tank. To use a portab le fuel container,
slowly insert t he fuel funnel (locate d in
the spare tire compar tment), and pou r
the fuel into the funnel. Wh en done,
clean the funnel or pro perly dispose of it .
Extra funnel s can be purchased fro m your
authorized dealer. Do no t use aftermarket
funnels as they will not work w ith the Easy
Fuel™ system and may c ause damage.
LOCATION OF SPARE TIRE
AND TOOLS: Your spare tire and too ls
are located beneat h the carpeted flo or
panel in the rear of your vehic le. The spare
tire is designed for emerg ency use
only and should be re placed as soon as
possible. For c omplete details on cha nging
your tire, refer to the Roadside Emergencies
chapter in your Owne r’s Guide.
REAR WIN DOW BUFFETING: When
one or both of your rear wind ows are open,
you may hear a wind throb o r buffeting
noise. To alleviate this, simply lower a front
window approximatel y 2-3 inches ( 5- 8 cm).
