SYSTEM CONFIGURATION FOR WIFI ON-THE-GOTM
ELECTRONICS
Introduction
After successful activation of WiFi On-the-Go™, use a smart device or a personal computer to connect to the
4G LTE wireless hotspot*.
NOTE: For the best security, the settings should be configured with the WiFi On-the-Go wired via Ethernet
cable and a personal computer.
* Internet access is not provided. Product usage may incur extra data and/or connection charges.

Pressing RESET on the back of the cellular gateway will make the device inoperable.
DO NOT press RESET. Contact LCI Customer Service.
Do not press the RESET button on the back of the cellular gateway unless directed by LCI Customer Service.
Pressing RESET will take the device back to factory settings and make the device inoperable.
System Requirements
• AT&T® or Rogers™ nano SIM card
• Android, iOS smart device or personal computer
• Ethernet cable (optional)
Connecting to WiFi On-the-Go™
1. From the device's Wi-Fi settings, select the WiFi On_the_Go_XXXX (where XXXX means the numbers at
the end will vary). The password will be blank.
2. To change the administrator password, rename the hotspot (ESSID) and set the security settings with a
login password:
A. Open a web browser.
B. Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar.
C. When prompted, enter the following default Username (Fig. 1A) and Password (Fig. 1B), then click
Login (Fig. 1C):
I. Username: root
II. Password: admin

3. At the top menu bar, select "System" dropdown menu (Fig. 2A), then select "Administration" (Fig. 2B).

4. Enter a new administrator "Password" (Fig. 3A), then re-enter password in the "Confirmation" field (Fig. 3B).
NOTE: For security purposes, use a strong password.

5. Click Save & Apply button (Fig. 4A) located at the bottom of the screen.

6. At the top of the menu bar, select "Network" dropdown menu (Fig. 5A), then select "Wifi" (Fig. 5B).

A. Click on the Edit button (Fig. 6A) under the Wireless Overview section, then scroll to the Interface
Configuration at the bottom of the page.

B. Make sure the "General Setup" tab is selected to rename the hotspot (ESSID) (Fig. 7A), if desired.
C. Click on Save button (Fig. 8A).

D. Click on the "Wireless Security" tab (Fig. 9A) to ensure Wi-Fi security.
I. From the menu, select the desired level of security. LCI recommends WPA2-PSK (Fig. 10A)

II. Enter a login password in the "Key" field (Fig. 11A). The password MUST be at least eight
characters.
E. Click on Save & Apply button (Fig. 11B).
NOTE: "Waiting for changes to be applied" dialog window may be visible until sign-in is complete.
7. Sign-in to the hotspot again by selecting the hotspot from the smart device's Wi-Fi settings.
NOTE: This will be the default hotspot name or the new name given in step 6.
8. If the security setting was changed and a security (login) password was added (step 6.D.II.), enter the
new password to complete the system configuration.
