Operation
NOTE: When using your Lippert Odyssey Portable Grill for
the first time, the charcoal drum may have a thin coating of
oil on the surface as a result of the manufacturing process.
This may cause the grill to smoke for the first few minutes
as the grill becomes hot. Allow the grill a 3-5 minute “burn
off” period to remove any oil from the drum.
1. Located underneath the outer bowl housing, remove the
battery box cover and install four AA batteries in the battery
box (Fig.1A). Optionally, instead of batteries, a micro USB port
(Fig.2B) located underneath the on/o󰀨 fan switch (Fig.2A), can
be used with a power source to operate the grill.

3. Check the contents of the Lippert Odyssey Portable
Grill carefully and make sure all items are included.

Maintenance
THE GRILL MUST BE COMPLETELY COOL BEFORE
CLEANING. ATTEMPTING TO CLEAN A HOT GRILL
MAY CAUSE SEVERE BURNS, AND MAY DAMAGE
THE GRILL COMPONENTS.
• Do not use any acidic solvents or any flammable liquids
in the cleaning or operation of your Lippert Odyssey
Portable Grill.
• Make sure the grill control is in the OFF position when not
in use and before cleaning.
NOTE: When cleaning your grill, take special care to
make sure the bottom of the grill, the battery box and fan
assembly are not exposed to water or moisture of any kind.
• Lippert recommends cleaning the grill grate, inner bowl,
and any other dirty components after each use.
• The grate and inner bowl are dishwasher safe and can
also be washed by hand using regular dish washing soap.
• Remove batteries from the battery box when storing your
grill for extended periods of non-use.
2. Fill the charcoal container (Fig.3) with the desired amount
of charcoal.
3. Apply 2-3 oz. of safety starter alcohol gel on the center of
the ignition plate (Fig.4A, Red Circle) in a circular shape. Insert
the ignition plate into the stainless steel basin (Parts list E).
4. Turn the fan control knob (Fig.2A) clockwise to its maximum
“ON” position.
5. Light the safety starter alcohol gel with an appropriate long-
stem trigger lighter.
6. Place the charcoal container (Fig.3) over the ignition plate
(Fig.4).
7. Place the barbecue grate with the charcoal container cover
attached on top of the grill and lock into position using the
two locking latches (Fig.5A) on either side of the outer bowl
housing.
8. Optionally, instead of using the barbecue grate and charcoal
container cover, the grill plate (Fig.6A) and gripping tongs
(Fig.6B) can be used in its place for smaller, more delicate
foods.
9. Adjust the temperature up or down (after the initial
3 to 4 minute start up period) by turning the on/o󰀨 fan
control knob clockwise (higher) or counter clockwise
(lower).
10. Allow the charcoal to burn for at least 3 minutes
before cooking.

Fonctionnement
REMARQUE : Lorsque vous utilisez votre gril portable Odyssey
de Lippert pour la première fois, le tambour de charbon de bois
peut présenter une fine couche d’huile à la surface, résultant
du processus de fabrication. Cela peut provoquer de la fumée
pendant les premières minutes, lorsque le gril devient chaud.
Laissez le gril se consumer pendant 3 à 5 minutes pour éliminer
l’huile du tambour.
1. Situé sous le boîtier extérieur du bol, retirez le couvercle du boîtier
des piles et installez quatre piles AA dans le boîtier des piles (Fig.1A).
En option, au lieu des piles, un port micro USB (Fig.2B) situé sous
l’interrupteur marche/arrêt du ventilateur (Fig.2A), peut être utilisé
avec une source d’alimentation pour faire fonctionner le gril.

• N’utilisez pas de solvants acides ou de liquides inflammables
pour le nettoyage ou le fonctionnement de votre gril portable
Odyssey de Lippert.
• Assurez-vous que la commande du gril est en position OFF
lorsque vous ne l’utilisez pas et avant de le nettoyer.
REMARQUE : Lorsque vous nettoyez votre gril, veillez à ce que
le fond du gril, le boîtier des piles et le ventilateur ne soient pas
exposés à l’eau ou à une quelconque humidité.
• Lippert recommande de nettoyer la grille du gril, le bol intérieur
et tout autre composant sale après chaque utilisation.
• La grille et le bol intérieur sont compatibles avec le lave-
vaisselle et peuvent également être lavés à la main avec du
savon à vaisselle ordinaire.
• Retirez les piles du boîtier à piles lorsque vous rangez votre gril
pour des périodes prolongées de non-utilisation.
4. Tournez le bouton de commande du ventilateur (Fig.2A) dans
le sens des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à sa position maximale
« ON ».
5. Allumez le gel alcoolisé de démarrage de sécurité à l’aide d’un
briquet à longue tige approprié.
6. Placez le récipient de charbon de bois (Fig.3) sur la plaque
d’allumage (Fig.4).
7. Placez la grille du barbecue avec le couvercle du bac à
charbon xé sur le dessus du gril et verrouillez-la en position à
l’aide des deux loquets de verrouillage (Fig.5A) de chaque côté du
boîtier du bol extérieur.
8. En option, au lieu d’utiliser la grille du barbecue et le couvercle
du réservoir de charbon de bois, on peut utiliser à sa place la
plaque de gril (Fig.6A) et la pince de préhension (Fig.6B) pour les
aliments plus petits et plus délicats.
9. Réglez la température à la hausse ou à la baisse (après la période
initiale de démarrage de 3 à 4 minutes) en tournant le bouton de
commande du ventilateur marche/arrêt dans le sens des aiguilles
d’une montre (plus haut) ou dans le sens inverse (plus bas).
10. Laissez le charbon de bois brûler pendant au moins 3 minutes
avant la cuisson.

2. Remplissez le récipient de charbon de bois (Fig.3) avec la
quantité désirée de charbon de bois.
3. Appliquez 2 à 3 oz de gel alcoolisé pour démarreur de sécurité
au centre de la plaque d’allumage (Fig.4A, cercle rouge) en formant
un cercle. Insérez la plaque d’allumage dans le bassin en acier
inoxydable (liste des pièces E).

Funcionamiento
NOTA: Cuando utilice su parrilla portátil Odyssey de Lippert por
primera vez, es posible que el tambor de carbón tenga una fina capa
de aceite en la superficie como resultado del proceso de fabricación.
Esto puede provocar que la parrilla arroje humo durante los primeros
minutos mientras se calienta. Deje que la parrilla se “queme” por 3 a
5 minutos para eliminar el aceite del tambor.
1. Retire la tapa de la caja para baterías ubicada debajo de
la carcasa exterior del receptáculo e instale cuatro baterías
AA (Fig.1A). De manera opcional, en lugar de las baterías, se
puede utilizar un puerto micro USB (Fig. 2B) situado debajo del
interruptor de encendido/apagado del ventilador (Fig. 2A), con una
fuente de alimentación para hacer funcionar la parrilla.

1. Retire el embalaje exterior.
2. Desmonte la parrilla y todos sus componentes.
3. Verique los contenidos de la parrilla portátil Odyssey de
Lippert con cuidado y asegúrese de que todos los elementos
estén incluidos.

LA PARRILLA DEBE ESTAR COMPLETAMENTE FRÍA
ANTES DE LIMPIARLA. INTENTAR LIMPIAR UNA PARRILLA
CALIENTE PUEDE OCASIONAR QUEMADURAS SEVERAS Y
DAÑAR LOS COMPONENTES.
• No utilice solventes ácidos ni líquidos inflamables para la limpieza
o el funcionamiento de su parrilla portátil Odyssey de Lippert.
• Asegúrese de que el control de la parrilla esté en la posición de
apagado (OFF) cuando no se use y antes de limpiarla.
NOTA: Al limpiar la parrilla, tenga especial cuidado de que la
parte inferior, la caja de la batería y el montaje del ventilador no
estén expuestos al agua o a la humedad de cualquier tipo.
• Lippert recomienda limpiar la rejilla de la parrilla, el receptáculo
interior y cualquier otro componente sucio después de cada uso.
• La rejilla y el receptáculo interior son aptos para el lavavajillas
y también pueden lavarse a mano con jabón común para lavar
platos.
• Retire las baterías de la caja de baterías cuando guarde su
parrilla durante períodos prolongados sin uso.
4. Gire la perilla de control del ventilador (Fig. 2A) en el sentido de
las agujas del reloj hasta su posición máxima en “ON” (Encendido).
5. Prenda el alcohol de encendido de seguridad en gel con un
encendedor adecuado con gatillo largo.
6. Coloque el contenedor de carbón (Fig. 3) sobre la placa de
encendido (Fig. 4).
7. Coloque la rejilla para la barbacoa con la tapa del contenedor
de carbón sobre la parte superior de la parrilla y bloquéela en
su posición con los dos pestillos de bloqueo (Fig. 5A) que se
encentran a ambos lados de la carcasa exterior del receptáculo.
8. Como opción, en lugar de utilizar la rejilla para la barbacoa y la
tapa del contenedor de carbón, se pueden utilizar la placa de la
parrilla (Fig. 6A) y las pinzas de agarre (Fig. 6B) en su lugar para los
alimentos más pequeños y delicados.
9. Ajuste la temperatura hacia arriba o hacia abajo (después del
período inicial de 3 o 4 minutos de puesta en marcha) girando la
perilla de control del ventilador de encendido/apagado en el sentido
de las agujas del reloj (más alta) o en el sentido contrario (más baja).
10. Antes de cocinar, deje que el carbón arda durante al menos
3 minutos.

2. Llene el contenedor de carbón (Fig. 3) con la cantidad de
carbón que desee.
3. Aplique de 2 a 3 onzas de alcohol de encendido de seguridad
en gel en el centro de la placa de encendido (Fig. 4A, círculo rojo)
de forma circular. Introduzca la placa de encendido en la cubeta
de acero inoxidable (lista de piezas E).
