that there is enough water in water tank.
Steam shot function is best used at max temperature, as it helps remove stubborn creases. Wait a
while before using steam shot button again to avoid splattering.
"Steam shot" can also be applied when holding the iron in a vertical position, so this is useful for
removing creases from hung clothes, curtains, etc.
The iron has an anti-drip function: if ironing garments for a long time, soleplate temperature will
drop, the iron will stop producing steam automatically and no water will come out of the soleplate.
Automatic Shut-off
ln order to avoid fire hazard, the iron has a safe, automatic shut-off function that turns the iron off,
in case the iron is left unattended. lf the function is activated, the iron will flash the indicator light
and bells will be heard. lf any of the following conditions are met, the shut-off will activate:
. When ironing horizontally, the iron has been kept motionless for 15-30 seconds
. When ironing vertically, the iron has been kept motionless for about 8-15 minutes
lf either of the above has occurred, move the iron or turn the temperature dial to "O" and reset the
temperature. The iron will continue operating normally.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
After ironing
1. Disconnect power supply and empty the water left in water tank.
2. To dry soleplate: Reconnect power supply and disconnect after indicator light goes off
3. Let the iron completely cool down, then wipe flakes and any other deposits on the soleplate with a
damp cloth or a non-abrasive (liquid) cleaner.
WARNING:
. Never touch hot soleplate at any time before it has cooled down !
' To keep the soleplate smooth, you should avoid hard contact with metal obiects.
. Nev€r use a scouring pad, vinegar or other chemicals to clean the soleplate.
6.

4. Clean the upper part of iron with a damp cloth.
5. Wind the main cord around the cord storage facility. Always store the emptied iron horizontally on a
stable surface with a cloth protecting the soleplate.
Self-Cleaning function
You should clean the unit regularly based on the hardness ofthe water and frequency of use.
1. Fill water tank fully and set the temperature selector to "MAX" and steam to "OFF."
2. Connect power plug and indicator light will illuminate, then place iron on heel (Fig.4)
Warning: Never pour vinegar or other liquid cleaners in the tank!
3. Once the light is off, hold the iron over a sink and put the steam button to "Self Cleon" position (Fig 3), this
may require a little force. Steam and boiling water will come out of the soleplate, while impurities and
flakes will be flushed out.
4. Release the button once all the water in the tank has been used up.
Auto-decalcifi cation feature
There is a decalcification box inside the appliance; it absorbs non-soluble calcium, while releasing soluble
sodium ions so water is softened-this slows down the rate of calcium deposits.
IRONINGTIPS
1. Always check first whether a Iabel with ironing instructions is attached to the article. Follow
these ironing instructions in any case. lf no ironing-instruction label is provided, but you know
the fabric material, please refer to the table below for direction.
2. lf you do not know what kind of fabric an article is made ol determine the right ironing
temperature by ironing a part that will not be visible when you wear of use the article.
3. The table below is not applicable to those fabrics through special treatment (e.g. shining, frill,
projecting etc. ) Use low temperature for these particular fabrics.
4. Always at first divide the clothes according to ironing temperatures. Woolen fabrics and cotton
fabrics etc. should be ironed separately.
5. The iron heats up quicker than cooling down; therefore, you should start ironing the articles
requiring the lowest temperature such as those made of synthetic fiber.
6. lf the fabric consists of various kinds of fibers, you must always select the lowest ironing
temperature on the iron for the composition of those fibers.
7. Silk and other fabrics that are likely to become shiny should be ironed on the inner side. To

prevent staining, do not spray water straight on silk or other delicate fabrics.
Velvet and other textures that rapidly become shiny should be ironed in one direction with light
pressure applied. Keep the iron moving at all times.
Pure wool fabrics (100% wool) may be ironed with the iron set a steam position. Preferably set
steam control to the maximum position and use a dry cloth as a mat.
Never iron over zip, rivet in the cloth. This will damage the soleplate.
