• Suitable heat resistant containers should be used with this appliance. Do not use containers that may
melt or crack with the high temperature.

sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved.

1. Clean the cooking plate with a soft dry cloth. Place your griddle on a level and stable surface near the
electrical socket.
2. Check that the voltage marked on the product corresponds with your supply voltage. Ensure the
controller is in the “Off” position before plugging it in.
3. For use, the Griddle should be operated at MAX temperature, No. 5, for approximately 10 minutes. This
removes any protective oils that are used during production.
4. Allow to cool and follow the cleaning instructions.
When using the griddle for the rst time, there may be a smell of smoke coming from the surface of
the cooking plate. This is normal because of the protective coating in production.
1. Plug the “Thermostat Controller” into the socket and ensure the dial is set to “Off” position.
2. Plug the mains cord into the mains supply.
3. Choose your desired temperature by turning the dial, the indicator will illuminate to advise that the
cooking plate is heating up.

4. Once your desired temperature as been reached the indicator light will go off, and the unit will maintain
that temperature setting.
5. Very little fat/Oil is needed during cooking process
6. It is better to marinate or coat your food before placing on the griddle for cooking.
7. Residue Fat / Oil from the food will be collect at the front of the cooking plate and drained into the “Drip
Tray” situated at the bottom of the griddle. DO NOT USE without the Drip Tray.
Do not use metal utensils with this product; only use wooden or heat resistant plastic utensils
to avoid scratching the non-stick surface. DO NOT! Cut the food with any sharp utensils on the griddle this
will also damage the non-stick surface.
8. The thermostat can be removed if you wish to serve your food off the griddle itself. Please use extreme
caution when removing the food as the griddle can get very hot. Always use the handles provided and
care should be taken as not to spill fat from the Drip Tray or allow the Drip tray to become detached from
the unit.

This appliance has been designed to operate over a long period of time with a minimum of maintenance.
Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper care and regular cleaning.
Before performing any maintenance or cleaning on this appliance, disconnect the appliance
from the electricity supply.
1. Remove the “Thermostat Controller” from the unit.
2. Allow the unit to cool before cleaning.
3. DO NOT submerse any part in water. Not suitable for dishwashers.
4. Remove and empty the Drip tray. Waste Oil must be disposed carefully and not in a sink.
5. The Dip Tray can be cleaned in hot soapy water.
6. The Cooking Plate must be cleaned using an absorbent kitchen cloth.
7. Wipe the outside of the unit down with a damp soapy cloth and dry with a soft cloth.

Do not dispose of this product with household waste. For the proper treatment, recovery and
recycling please take this product to the appropriate waste collection point. If you are unsure
where this may be, please contact your local authority. Improper disposal may be harmful to
the environment.
Your appliance operates on 220-240V~50Hz AC Mains and comes tted with a 3-pin BSI Approved plug, so
that it is ready for use by simply plugging into AC Mains. Should you need to change or ret a plug, proceed
as follows: -
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE: NEUTRAL (N)
BROWN: LIVE (L)
GREEN AND YELLOW: EARTH (E)
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings
identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The BLUE wire must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter “N” or coloured BLACK.
The BROWN wire must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter “L” or coloured RED.
The GREEN AND YELLOW wire must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter “E”, the
symbol or coloured GREEN.
Always ensure that the Mains Cord is located into the Plug through the Cord Guard or Cable Clamp, and that
the Cord Guard screws are tightened to clamp the Cord (outer sheath and inner coloured wires) in position
in the Plug. Make sure the Plug top is also tted securely.
The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the supply cord is damaged, the appliance should be scrapped.
This appliance must be protected by a 13 Amp fuse in a 13 Amp type (BS1363) plug.
Should you need to replace the fuse, use only an ASTA approved BS1362 fuse.
