TEMPERATURE CONTROL
ANTI CALC
This iron has an anti-calc lter that protects it from large calcium build ups. These types of calcium build ups
are usually found in hard water areas and can cause blockages in the pipework within the iron. The Anti-calc
feature makes cleaning and maintenance much easier and helps to prevent damage to the iron.
SELF CLEAN
Pressing the self clean button causes air to ow through all of the steam vents at a high pressure to remove
any mineral deposits. Performing this function regularly will help to prevent a build up of mineral deposits
from blocking any of the vents as well as the anti-drip system.
1. Fill the water tank to half full.
2. Move the adjustable steam rate control and the adjustable thermostat control to 'OFF'.
3. Plug the power cord into a suitable 220-240v~50Hz mains supply.
4. Turn the adjustable thermostat control to the maximum position and leave it to heat up until the pilot lamp
switches off.
5. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink or basin.
6. Press and hold the self clean button while shaking the iron lightly to eliminate any mineral deposits or
dirt etc.
7. During this you can press the steam button repeatedly, remembering to pause for at least ve seconds
between one burst of steam and the next.
8. When the tank is empty, release the self clean button and unplug the power cord from the mains supply,
leaving the iron to cool completely before storing.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. To avoid circuit overload, DO NOT operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit at the
same time as using the iron.
2. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 13A cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage
may overheat. Care should be taken to position the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
CLEANING AND CARE
DO NOT
• Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the iron yourself.
• Do not wrap the cord around the base of the iron or the heel rest during storage, as this type of
manipulation may damage the cord.
CARE AND USE
1. Avoid ironing over zippers, buttons and rivets on jeans etc. as they will scratch the soleplate. Iron around
these types of features instead.
2. Depending upon geographical location, water content can vary widely, as can the mineral content within
water. If you live in a hard water area, it is recommended that distilled or de-ionised water is used to
ensure optimum performance of this product.
TO EMPTY AND STORE
1. Ensure the iron is unplugged before attempting to empty the water tank.
2. Turn the iron upside down and pour any remaining water out of iron via the water spout.
3. After emptying the water tank, stand the hot iron in an upright position on the heel rest so that any
remaining moisture will evaporate quickly.
4. Leave the iron to cool completely before putting it away into storage.
Note: caution should be advised when turning the iron upside down as there may be hot water in the water
reservoir.
