●The battery must be charged and the battery door locked
●All bolts and nuts must be tightened and tightened.
●wheels, suspension and handlebar must have no play
●The brakes must work properly. Positioning the motorcycle upside down
may cause the brakes to malfunction.
●The chain must have sufficient tension.
20mm of upward and downward movement is recommended. See
Section Voltage Adjustment String.
●The wheels must be in good condition and the tires inflated to the proper

Safety Instructions
Before using the product, the owner (you) should read the following safety
instructions.
The LMX 161-H is designed for use on public roads and authorized paths, is
equivalent to a 50cc moped. It must therefore be equipped with a registration
card and a license plate, and must be insured.
The practice of enduro-type off-road motorbikes can be dangerous, and is
regulated in walking or hiking trails. Therefore you must inquire about the local
conditions of use with the town hall.
To be safe, check your speed at all times and always be prepared for emergency
braking. Wearing safety gear is mandatory: an approved helmet and gloves are
the minimum. Body armor / stone guard and boots are highly recommended.
Before use, find out about your area of evolution. Even electric, the LMX 161
remains a motor vehicle and should not be used in areas not allowed to
motorized vehicles.
Electrical systems such as batteries, engine and controllers can heat up, do not
touch these items after using the vehicle. The battery and systems can catch fire
in case of shock or failure of the control system. In the event of such an event,
use the safety switch to turn off the power and stay clear of the fire. Do not
breathe fumes and use a fire extinguisher. Gas extinguishers (CO2) or neutral
atmosphere (Argon) are recommended for electric and lithium battery fires.
If your frame is damaged in an accident or any other situation, do not use it.
A damaged frame can cause dangerous failure at an unexpected time. Contact
us if your frame is damaged, your frame must be repaired or replaced to ensure
your safety.
Start by testing your bike on a smooth grass or road surface with safety
equipment. Do not let inexperienced drivers test your bike if it is in a high power
mode.
When working on your motorcycle and performing maintenance and cleaning
tasks, always disconnect the main power supply or remove the battery. Keep in
mind at all times that an electrical fault can cause the motor to rotate at any
time if the power is on.

General Maintenance
Like an electric bike, the necessary maintenance of the LMX 161 motorcycle is
very low.
The main maintenance consists of cleaning, checking the tightness of the bolts
and spokes, as well as the pressure in the tires and the chain tension.
The condition check of the suspension links must be done every 5 rides. In case
of perceptible play, change the bearings of the rods. The links are designed to
run dry, without grease, however after each cleaning a spray of lubricant or spray
can be passed over the area to drive out moisture and prevent corrosion of the
axles.
The suspension components need regular maintenance according to the
manufacturer's recommendations and the requirements of this manual and
transmission components as the chain and sprockets should be replaced every 2
years, unless an abnormal wear is detected.
Brake maintenance is also very important to maintain optimal braking
performance, refer to the brake manufacturer's recommendations and this
manual for changing pads.

Cleaning the motorcycle
It is strongly recommended to remove the battery pack when washing.
It is advisable not to use cleaners high pressure, otherwise damage to the
stickers, or damage to certain components, and affect the proper
functioning of the motorcycle.
It is imperative to maintain the water jet at a distance of 40 cm minimum,
avoiding delicate parts (Controller located under the saddle, battery, bearings,
axes ...).
Always re-grease the chain with a grease suited to the conditions of use after
cleaning with water.

Adjustment of the compression knob
The settings are made above the
air cartridge by simply rotating the
blue button marked with a "C"
There are 15 notches of adjustment.

Setting the spring preload
Clamping nut Factory settings: 2cm
The spring preload is done with a hook wrench. One must choose the preload of its
spring according to its weight: the more the user is heavy, the more the preload of the
spring must be important in order to adjust the stiffness of the suspensions. Other
springs of different stiffnesses are available on demand to fit in a wider range.
Warning: it is imperative to check the preload of your spring before each exit, if the
spring is no longer constrained there is a high risk of losing parts or even breaking the
mechanism.
Tip: During the use of the motorcycle, a critical release of the spring will be detectable by
clicking noises at the shock absorber.

18

MT-161-H V1.2
Maintenance of the shock absorber
Linkage system is located at the base of the swingarm and shock absorber.
The LMX BIKES suspension linkage system is equipped with maintenance-free
and lubricated connections. However, their wear is to be monitored.
For this, simply push and pull on the rods to check that there is no excessive play.
In case of large clearance, it is essential to change the plain bearings. LMX Bikes
offers you a pre-assembled kit (rods + bearings) that is easy to install, or, for
insiders, a kit containing only the replacement bearings.
