2.2 DRM Epub Format
Epub is a free format developed by a organization named IDPF (International Digital Publishing
Forum).
Epub shares characteristics with the PDF format, but complies with the standards proposed by the
International Digital Publishing Forum (a organization that brings together publishers interested
in getting a global standard to enable them to expand their business ).
What does this mean? This type of file finalizes with the problem of PDF and other formats (which
retain the same format and structure of documents), the scale allows Epub sources and perform
a re flow of the text. When increasing the size of the font the whole text is restructured
maintaining the character style and paragraph style. This means that we can choose the font size
while preserving the quality of the text and its structure.
The Epub can be linked to a DRM (Digital Rights Management) or data protection system whose
use involves the use of Adobe Digital Edition, software developed by Adobe. This software is
used to transfer the DRM pdf and epub files from the PC to the reading device. For more
information visit http://www.adobe.com/la/products/digitaleditions/.
