Wipers
Move the stalk positioned on the right-
hand side of the steering wheel.
Windscreen wipers off.
Single wipe: Press the stalk
downwards from the 0 position
and release.
Intermittent Wiping
AUT Rotate the ring upwards to
increase, downwards to decrease
the interval.
Continuous Wiping
Wipers operate at normal speed.
Wipers operate at high speed.
Rain Sensor Wiping
The windscreen wipers activate auto-
matically relative to the intensity of any
rainfall sensed on the windscreen.
The rain sensor is activated with the
wiper stalk in AUT position. Press the

Using the rain sensor
The rain sensor automatically starts the wind-
screen wipers based on how much water it
detects on the windscreen. Rain sensor sen-
sitivity can be adjusted with the thumbwheel
on the right-hand stalk switch.

Thumbwheel sensitivity/frequency
When the rain sensor is activated, the rain
sensor symbol is shown in the driver
display.
Activating the rain sensor
When activating the rain sensor, the car must
be running or in ignition position I or II while
the windscreen wiper stalk switch is in posi-
tion 0 or in the position for a single sweep.
Activate the rain sensor by pressing the rain
sensor button .
Move the lever down to make the wipers
move.
Turn the thumbwheel upward for higher sensi-
tivity and downward for lower sensitivity. An
extra sweep is made when the thumbwheel is
turned upward.
Deactivating the rain sensor
Deactivate the rain sensor by pressing the rain
sensor button or moving the stalk
switch up to another wiper program.
The rain sensor is deactivated automatically in
ignition position 0 or when the engine is
switched off.
The rain sensor is deactivated automatically
when wiper blades are set in service position.
The rain sensor is reactivated when service
mode has been deactivated.
IMPORTANT
The windscreen wipers could start and be
damaged in an automatic car wash. Deac-
tivate the rain sensor while the car is run-
ning or when the car's electrical system is
in ignition position I or II. The symbol in the
driver display extinguishes.

vehicle is in an automatic car wash.
Windscreen Washers
Pull the wiper stalk towards you to
activate. The wipers will also sweep the
windscreen several times.
