What to do in the event of a
breakdown?
1. Secure yourself and your vehicle. Do
not place yourself in danger.
2.Contact Lotus Roadside Assistance
using your applicable country
telephone number from the list
shown on the next page.
3. Provide the operator with details of
the breakdown – including name,
vehicle registration or VIN, location
details. If your vehicle has incurred
accident damage, please also
disclose this.
4.Await rescue in a secure location.
Regular updates to the expected
arrival time of roadside assistance
will be sent via text message.

Lotus E-Call
Using the SOS alarm button, you can
contact a Public Safety Answering
Point (PSAP), for help in emergency
situations such as illness, injury, or a
threat, etc.

NOTE: This service may not be
available for all vehicles or in cer-
tain markets.
Manual SOS Call
To manually activate the SOS alarm
function for emergency assistance,
press and hold the SOS button for
approximately 2 seconds, you will then
be directed to the PSAP.
Press the SOS button again within
8 seconds to cancel the call. Once
in contact with PSAP, only the PSAP
operator can end the call.
If the operator does not get a response
from the vehicle occupants, then the
appropriate assistance (such as
ambulance or police) will be sent to the
vehicle location.
Automatic SOS Call
If an airbag or seatbelt pretensioner is
deployed, the SOS alarm automatically
activates and calls the PSAP and the
appropriate assistance (such as
ambulance or police) will be sent to the
vehicle location.
Coverage
Lotus E-Call is available when the
ignition is turned ON. The operation of
E-Call - SOS Emergency 112 Assistance
relies on 2G or 3G cellular coverage
and may be affected by signal outages
or low signal strength. In these
circumstances it may not be possible
to establish an E-Call with the Public
Safety Answering Point.
In the above circumstances Lotus Cars
is not liable for any consequences or
losses that occur.

Unlocking/Locking
Locking: Pressing the button
locks both doors, tailgate and fuel
filler flap. The alarm is also armed.
Press and hold to close all door
windows simultaneously.
Unlocking: Pressing the button
unlocks the doors, tailgate and fuel
filler flap. The alarm is also
deactivated.
A longer press opens all door
windows simultaneously.
Tailgate: A press (1.5 - 2
seconds approximately)
of the button on the
keyfob will unlatch the
tailgate and unlock and fuel
filler flap.
Opening a Door from the Outside
With the vehicle unlocked:
– Press the front of the door handle.
– The rear of the handle will pivot out-
wards.
– Pull the rear of the handle to open
the door.
Interior Door Locking/Unlocking
Door Switches
The doors can be locked and unlocked
using the central locking switch in the
driver’s door panel. Press the button
to unlock both doors. With both doors
closed, press the button to lock.
Unlocking – Door Release Handle
To unlock from the inside, pull a door
release handle and release, a second
pull will open the door.
Tailgate Opening Using Switch
Press and hold the switch located
on the outboard side of the steering

column to unlatch the tailgate. The tail-
gate can now be opened.
CAUTION: Pressing the switch re-
leases the latching mechanism,
therefore if the switch is acciden-
tally pressed, the tailgate must be
manually closed before driving or
locking the vehicle.
Lifting the Tailgate
With the tailgate unlatched, lift it fully
upwards, the struts will assist with
lifting and will hold the tailgate in
position once fully raised.
Closing the Tailgate
Pull down the tailgate and press firmly
over the centre section of the spoiler
ensuring complete engagement of the
latch.
CAUTION: Do not leave the keyfob
in the luggage compartment when
closing the tailgate, if the rest of
the vehicle is locked and armed, as
closing the tailgate will then com-
pletely lock the vehicle. The other
keyfob will be required to unlock
the vehicle.
Emergency Release Handles
Inside Cabin
Open the left hand door using the me-
chanical lock if necessary.
Pull off the access panel located in the
left hand rear quarter trim panel.
Pull the handle firmly towards you to
release the tailgate latch. After using
the emergency release handle, take
extra care to ensure the tailgate is fully
closed.

Inside Luggage Compartment
(Child Entrapment)
An emergency release handle is provid-
ed if a child should become trapped in-
side the rear luggage compartment.
The handle at the rear of the compart-
ment should be pulled towards the
right-hand side of the car to release the
tailgate latch.
Emergency Key Blade
The keyfob contains a detachable key
blade which can be used in the event
of a vehicle electrical, keyfob or vehicle
electrical failure so that the left-hand
side door can be unlocked manually to
gain access to the vehicle cabin.

Removing the Key Blade
1Press and hold the release but-
ton on the side of the keyfob, (a
suitable pointed object may be re-
quired).
2The panel at the end of the keyfob
will open.
3Pull the key blade out of the key-
fob casing.

Using the Emergency Key Blade
1Press the front of the left-hand
side door handle and hold the rear
of the handle so that the lock is
visible.
2Insert the key blade into the lock.

Rotate the key blade a quarter
turn clockwise so that the end of
the blade is pointing rearwards.

4Rotate the key blade counter-
clockwise to its starting position.
5Remove the key blade from the
lock and release the handle so
that it is resting against the door.
– Pull the handle and the door will
open.
– Once inside the cabin, the right-hand
side door can be opened using the
interior release handle.
Locking the Left-Hand Door
Perform steps 1, 2, 4 and 5 as shown for
unlocking, but rotate the key blade a
quarter turn counter-clockwise instead
of clockwise as shown in step (3).

NOTE: The right-hand side door
will remain in either the locked
or unlocked condition the central
door locking system was set to
prior to keyfob or vehicle electrical
failure and cannot be changed until
central door locking operation is
fully restored.
Deactivating the Vehicle Alarm

NOTE: The alarm is triggered when
the door is unlocked and opened
using the emergency key blade.
– Place the keyfob in the recess to-
wards the rear of the storage area
within centre console arm rest.
– Press the start button.
– The alarm siren will silence and the
alarm is deactivated.

Steering Wheel Adjustment
The steering wheel can be adjusted for
both height and depth.
1. To release the steering wheel, push
the column lock lever downwards.
2.Adjust the steering wheel to your
ideal height and depth position.
3. To lock the steering wheel in
position, pull the column lever back.
4.Try to move the steering wheel up,
down, in and out to ensure that you
have locked it securely.
The steering wheel, door mirrors and
driver seat should also be adjusted to
a safe and comfortable position before
driving.
Power Seats (If Fitted)
Adjust the lumbar support
by pressing the top/bottom/
front/rear part of the switch.
Adjust the angle of the seat
cushion by moving the front of
the switch up/down.
Adjust the height of the seat
cushion by moving the rear of
the switch up/down.
Adjust the angle of the
backrest by moving the control
forwards/backwards.
Move the seat forwards or
backwards by moving the
control forwards/backwards.
Seat Fold
Pull the strap on the outboard rear of
the seat to fold the backrest and move
the seat forwards. The seat will return
to its original position after releasing
the lever.

Rotate the ring on the stalk on the
left-hand side of the steering wheel.

Hazard Warning Lights

risk. Make sure the fault is corrected before driving. If you are not
clear about the fault, consult a Lynk & Co Center for inspection.
Warning symbol in red : The warning indicator alerts
you that an important function is activated or that a
serious fault has occurred that may affect the vehicle's
drivability. The warning symbol can also illuminate in
conjunction with other indicators.
Low engine oil pressure : This indicator warns of low
engine oil pressure. If the indicator illuminates during
normal driving, find a safe place and stop the vehicle
immediately, contact a Lynk & Co Center for inspection.
SRS airbag fault : If this warning indicator illuminates
during driving, it means a fault has been detected in
the front airbags, side airbags or inflatable curtain
and/or pre-tensioner systems. If this happens, contact a
Lynk & Co Center for inspection.
Front passenger airbag on : The front
passenger airbag is activated and adults
can sit safely in the front passenger seat.
Never sit a child on a booster cushion, in a
child seat or in a rear-facing child seat on the front passenger seat
if the airbag is activated.
Front passenger airbag off : The front passenger
airbag is deactivated and children shorter than 140 cm
in a child seat can sit in the front passenger seat. It is
safer when the child is properly secured in the rear
seats.
Seat belt reminder : The indicator illuminates if the seat
belt is unfastened in the driver or front passenger seat.
Battery charging fault : If this warning indicator
illuminates while the engine is running, it may indicate
the charging system is not functioning properly. Please
switch off all the unnecessary electrical equipments,
contact a Lynk & Co Center for inspection.
Brake fault : The warning indicator illuminates if there is
a fault in the brake system (e.g. low brake fluid).
Contact a Lynk & Co Center for inspection.
Anti-lock braking system fault : If the warning indicator
illuminates when the engine is running or during
driving, there may be a fault in the Anti-lock braking
system. Contact a Lynk & Co Center for inspection.
Brake light fault : The indicator illuminates when there is
a fault in the brake lights system. Contact a Lynk & Co
Center for inspection.
Direction indicator fault : The indicator illuminates when
there is a fault in the direction indicators system.
Contact a Lynk & Co Center for inspection.
Coolant temperature : This indicator illuminates when
the engine is overheating. If this happens, turn off the
air conditioning and let the engine idle for a while. If the
indicator remains illuminated, stop the vehicle safely
and contact a Lynk & Co Center.
Steering assist fault : The indicator illuminates when
there is a fault in the power steering assist system.
Contact a Lynk & Co Center for inspection.

Home Safety Lights
Some of the exterior lights can be kept
illuminated after the vehicle has been
locked.
1. Switch off the engine.
2.Move the left column stalk forward
and then release.
3. Exit the vehicle and lock the doors.
The position, headlight low beam and
licence plate lamps are illuminated.
The duration of lighting illumination is
set from the centre display.

Wipers
Move the stalk positioned on the right-
hand side of the steering wheel.
Windscreen wipers off.
Single wipe: Press the stalk
downwards from the 0 position
and release.
Intermittent Wiping
AUT Rotate the ring upwards to
increase, downwards to decrease
the interval.
Continuous Wiping
Wipers operate at normal speed.
Wipers operate at high speed.
Rain Sensor Wiping
The windscreen wipers activate auto-
matically relative to the intensity of any
rainfall sensed on the windscreen.
The rain sensor is activated with the
wiper stalk in AUT position. Press the

Using the rain sensor
The rain sensor automatically starts the wind-
screen wipers based on how much water it
detects on the windscreen. Rain sensor sen-
sitivity can be adjusted with the thumbwheel
on the right-hand stalk switch.

When the rain sensor is activated, the rain
sensor symbol is shown in the driver
display.
Activating the rain sensor
When activating the rain sensor, the car must
be running or in ignition position I or II while
the windscreen wiper stalk switch is in posi-
tion 0 or in the position for a single sweep.
Activate the rain sensor by pressing the rain
sensor button .
Move the lever down to make the wipers
move.
Turn the thumbwheel upward for higher sensi-
tivity and downward for lower sensitivity. An
extra sweep is made when the thumbwheel is
turned upward.
Deactivating the rain sensor
Deactivate the rain sensor by pressing the rain
sensor button or moving the stalk
switch up to another wiper program.
The rain sensor is deactivated automatically in
ignition position 0 or when the engine is
switched off.
The rain sensor is deactivated automatically
when wiper blades are set in service position.
The rain sensor is reactivated when service
mode has been deactivated.
IMPORTANT
The windscreen wipers could start and be
damaged in an automatic car wash. Deac-
tivate the rain sensor while the car is run-
ning or when the car's electrical system is
in ignition position I or II. The symbol in the
driver display extinguishes.

Using the rain sensor

Windscreen Washers
Pull the wiper stalk towards you to
activate. The wipers will also sweep the
windscreen several times.

Power Door Windows
Operate both of the vehicles power
windows using the switches in the
driver door panel.

Moving the switches up or
down slightly will raise or lower
the windows for as long as the
switches are held in position.

Moving the switches up or
down fully and then releasing
will raise or lower the windows
automatically to their end po-
sitions.
Adjusting the Door Mirror Glasses
Using the switches and joystick in the
driver’s door panel:
– Press the L button or the R button for
the required door mirror.
– Adjust the mirror glasses position
using the joystick.
Folding/Unfolding the Door Mirrors
– Press the L and R switches
simultaneously*.
– Release them after approximately
1 second and both door mirrors will
automatically stop in the fully folded
position.
– Press the L and R switches
simultaneously again to unfold.
*Optional accessory.
Manual Angling During Parking
Door mirror glasses can be angled
down for the driver to view the side of
the road when parking*.
– With reverse gear engaged, press the
L or R switches as required.
– Note that the switches may need
to be pressed twice, depending on
whether it was already preselected.
– The switch flashes when the door
mirror glasses are angled down.
– With reverse gear disengaged, the
door mirror glasses automatically
start to return after 3 seconds and
then reache their original position
after 8 seconds approximately.
*Only applicable if power seats with
memory buttons are fitted.
Automatic Angling During Parking
This feature is set within the centre
display.

1.3.1.3 Activating Partial Mode
Partial mode is used when the fuel efficiency of the car is tested. It reduces the energy
consumption of the infotainment system by shutting off certain functions that consumes
more energy, e.g. WiFi, Bluetooth the screen will also be set to the lowest display
brightness, see “1.5.2 Partial Mode” on page 104 for more details.
Simply tap and hold the home button for 5 seconds to activate partial mode. Tapping the
home button will deactivate partial mode and return the driver to the previous view.

1.3.1.3 Activating Partial Mode
Partial mode is used when the fuel efficiency of the car is tested. It reduces the energy
consumption of the infotainment system by shutting off certain functions that consumes
more energy, e.g. WiFi, Bluetooth the screen will also be set to the lowest display
brightness, see “1.5.2 Partial Mode” on page 104 for more details.
Simply tap and hold the home button for 5 seconds to activate partial mode. Tapping the
home button will deactivate partial mode and return the driver to the previous view.
