This manual contains technical information, which allow service personnel's to understand and service this model.
Please place orders using the parts list and not the drawing reference numbers.
This manual is written for Micro Four Thirds Lens H-HSA12035.
As you may know, lens hates dust, soil, sand, fingerprint.
Or you have received customer complaint.
So that, you have to repair (disassembly / assembly) with close attention.
The inside of the 5th Lens Unit applied "Panasonic's Nano Surface Coating technology".
The damage causes by peeling off a Nano Surface Coating.
Never touch the inside of the 5th Lens Unit while Disassembly and Assembly.
This place does not allow to wipe with any cleaning material, but only allow air blow.
If this place remains astain like finger print, the Lens is no longer able to use, but need to be replaced.

4.1. Fixture and Tools
The following Fixture and Tools are used for checking and servicing this unit.
4.2. Clean Box
The repair quality is considered, and it is recommended working in the environment of satisfied clean level
less than class 10,000 (Federal Standard 209D).

5 Maintenance
5.1. Dust / Dirt on the outer casing part(s)
1. Blow off the dust first, then sweep out the dust from narrower spaces with soft cleaning brush.
2. Wipe up the outer casing part with the dry fuzz-free cloth.
5.2. Dust / Dirt on the Lens Glasses (Lens Cleaning)
5.2.1. Cleaning procedures of outside surface of the Lens
1. Blow off the dust on the Lens glass surface with the Blower, gently. (Do not blow strongly.)
2. Wipe out the dirt on the Lens glass surface with Lens Cleaning Kit (VFK1900BK) if necessary.
(Consult the instruction sheet which is included in the Lens Cleaning Kit in details.)
5.2.1. Cleaning procedures of inside surface of the Lens
1. When removing the each above unit, it has to be proceed inside of satisfied clean level.
(Less than class 10,000 (Federal Standard 209D))
As for clean box, refer to the "4.2. Clean Box", in details.

5.1. Disassembly Procedure
2. Remove the 2 screws (B).
3. Separate the Hood Adapter and the 1st Lens Unit.
1. The Decoration Ring is sticked on the Hood Adapter.
5.1.2. Removal of the Decoration Ring
1. Remove the 3 screws (C) and the 5th Lens Unit.
5.1.4. Removal of the 5th Lens Unit
Important:
1. Remove the Zoom Rubber.
2. Put the sheet so that the lens glass is fullty covered.
3. Insert the small flat blade screwdriver to Gap (between
the Decoration Ring and lens glass), and peel off
the Decoration Ring gently.

1. Remove the 4 screws (A) and the Hood Adapter
with the 1st Lens Unit.

2. Remove the Mount Contact Unit.

3. Disconnect the 4 Floating Rubbers.
5.1.10. Removal of the Hold Barrel Unit
1. Remove the screw (H) and the Zoom Lever.
2. Remove the 4 screws (I) and the 2 screws (J).
3. Rotate Zoom Ring to fully (A) direction, then lift
and remove it.
2. Remove the Main PCB with the Mount Contact Unit.

5.2.1. Assembly of the OIS Unit
1. Install the 4th Lens & AF Rack Unit.
5.2. Assembly Procedure
5. Stick the AF Motor Flex on the OIS Aperture Flex.
2. Apply grease to the Main Shaft and the Sub Shaft.
Important:
When tightening the screw, use a torque driver (RFKZ0542) with specified torque described in each step.
3. Install the Main Shaft Holder and Sub Shaft Holder.
Torque:(T) 7.8 ± 0.7 N ・cm
4. Tighten the 3 screws (T) by using the torque driver
6. Install the AF Motor Assy to the OIS Aperture Flex.
Screw (T) :5.0mm (Silver)

5.2.2. Assembly of the Housing & D Base Unit
1. Install the FPC Guide 1 to the Housing & D Base Unit.
2. Tighten the screw (Q) by using the torque driver with
specified torque.
Torque:(Q) 7.8 ± 0.7 N ・cm
5.2.3. Combine the OIS Unit and the Housing
& D Base Unit
1. Connect the connector (G).
8. Install the AF Motor Assy to OIS Unit.
9. Tighten the 2 screws (S) and the screw (R) by using
the torque driver with specified torque.
Torque:(R) 5.9 ± 0.6 N ・cm
7. Apply Grease to the motor screw part of the AF Motor.

2. Install the Rotative Barrel to the Main Zoom Barrel.

5. Align the mechanical phase by following figure.
6. Tighten the 3 screws (L) by using the torque driver
with specified torque, with the P4 Roller.

5.2.7. Installation of the Zoom Guide Collar Ass

1. Install the 3 Zoom Guide Collar Assy.
NOTE:
Put the soft cloth to protect the 2nd Lens Unit sureface
from damage.
2. Align the mechanical phase by following figure.
3. Install the Front Barrel.
4. Tighten the 3 screws (K) by using the torque driver
with specified torque.
Torque:(K) 11.8 ± 1.2 N ・cm
