WewillexplainthemostoptimalwaytoassembletheHQuad500frame.Followingthisexactsequenceisnot
mandatorybutsuggested.Gooverallthestepsatleastoncebeforestartingthebuild.
2.1 - Arm & Motor Mount Sub-Assembly
ThefollowingistheprocedurefortheassemblyofoneMotorMountbut,notethatthissameassemblyshouldbe
donefourtimesforthefourdifferentarmsontheHQuad500.Consideringthattheclampsareasymmetric,youmust
takecaretopositionthemcorrectly.


1. Mounttheclampsonthebottommotormountusingfour440x¼”Hexscrews.Youmustusethetwo
threadedholesoftheclamptodoso.Repeatthesamestepforthetopmotormountaswell.


2. TheinstallationofyourBrushlessMotoriseasyatthisstage.Placethemotoronthetopmotormount
assemblyandalignthewiressothattheygoonthesideoftheclampleavingspaceforthetube.Insertthe
M3x5mmscrewstosecurethemotortothemount.(Thesescrewsareprovidedformostbrandmotorsbut
wesuggesttodoublecheckyourmotorspecificationspriortousingtheprovidedM3screws)


3. Withthebottommountassemblyflatonthetable,placethecarbonfibertubeontheclampsandalignthe
endofthetubeflushtotheclamp.


4. Addthetopmotormountassemblyoverthetubeandinserttwo440x¾”Hexscrewstoholdthetwo
halvestogether.Thenfliptheassemblyandinserttheothertwo440x¾”Hexscrewsandtightenthem.


5. Makesurethespacingbetweenthetwoclamphalvesremainsaboutthesameandthetubesitsflushtothe
outsideoftheclamp.


2.2 - Landing Gear Step-1
Thelandinggearispartiallyassembledheretohavethemotorwiringruninsidethelandingplate.Itwillnotbebolted
totheclampsyettohelpwiththearmassemblyonaflatsurface.

MaterialNeeded:
● 4xHQuad500TipLandingORWireCap
● 4xRubberGrommet

1. InserttherubbergrommetintheholelandingORcap.


2. Runyourmotorwiresinsidethegrommetandletthelandingplatehangthereuntilthestep“2.7Landing
GearStep2”.Wedonotsuggesttomountthemontheframeatthissteptobeabletoassembletheframe
onaflatsurface.

2.3 - Center Plates Sub-Assembly
Theclampsareasymmetricandtheyneedtobeinstalledcorrectlyonthetop&bottomplates.Mostlytobesurethe
top&bottomwillworktogetherbutalsohelpwiththeCameraPlatemountingupfront.Tohelpwiththisprocesswe
namedthesidesoftheclampsAandB.



1. MounteachHalfClampontheframekeepingtherightlocationoftheAandBsidesusingtwo440x¼”
Hexscrews.ThosetwoviewsarefromtheInsideoftheframeandwheretheclampsshouldsit.Thisisalso
importantasthemountingpatternfortheQuadrinoNanofeaturesacutouttoallowadvancedwiringand
needstomatch.


2. Onceassembledyouwillobtainanassemblythatlookslikethis:

2.4 - Electronics
Atthisstageitisthebesttimetomounttheelectronicsbeforeclosingthetwoframehalvesandaddthearms.Since
theESC(electronicspeedcontroller)willbemountedinsidetheframewealsorecommendtotestmotorrotationfor
eacharmlocationbasedonyourflightcontrollerrecommendations.

WeprovideESCmountingplatesthatactasaframestiffeneraswell.TheESC’sareheldontheplatewith3”Cable
ties.


2.5 - Center Frame Assembly
Thisstepwillassemblethepreviouslymadesubassembliesandwilltrulyputtheframetogether.Wesuggestto
assembleitonaflatsurfacesoallarmswillstaylevel.


1. Placeyourbottomcenterplatesubassemblyonaflattableandplacethearmsoverit’shalfclamps.

2. NowyoucanaddtheSidePlatestoeachofthefourlocationsshownbelow.Theyinserteasilyintheslotsof
thebottomplate.


3. Installthetopcenterplatesubassemblyontopofthebottomassemblyanduse440x¾”Hexscrewsto
securethetwohalveslooselyfromtopandbottom.Youwillwanttotightenthebottomonesslightlymore
andfinishthetensionwiththetoponceitlaysflatonthetable.Remembertokeepspacingroughlyequalon
bothclampsides.


batteryinit’slocationunderheavyflightorcrash.

1. Youcannowfinalizetheinstallationofeitherthetiplandingorwirecaptoyourarmsusingthe4holes
