Warranty Details
The product is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and parts for
a period of 36 months from the date of purchase. Defects that occur within this
warranty period, under normal use and care, will be repaired, replaced or
refunded at our discretion.
The benets conferred by this warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies
in respect of the product that the consumer has under the Competition and
Consumer Act 2010 and similar state and territory laws.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure
and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You
are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of
acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

which is particularly easy to operate.
The device comes with a 3 year warranty. In case of a defect
in the USB Cassette Converter, you require the enclosed

Cassette Converter. It contains important
information about the start up and handling.
Study these Operating Instructions and, in
particular the Safety Information in detail prior to
using the USB Cassette Converter. Non observance
of these Operating Instructions can lead to loss of
data or damage to the USB Cassette Converter.
These Operating Instructions are based on valid
standards and regulations of the EU. Also observe
specific guidelines and laws in other countries!

Correct use
The USB Cassette Converter is solely designed to be used as a
USB Cassette Converter. It is only suitable for private and not
for commercial use.
Only use the USB Cassette Converter as described in the
Operating Instructions. Any other use is deemed to be
incorrect and can cause material damage and loss of data.
The manufacturers or dealers do not accept any liability for
damage resulting from improper or incorrect use.
Safety information
WARNING!
Electrocution hazard!
Faulty electrical installations or excessive mains voltage can
cause electrocution.
− Do not operate the USB Cassette Converter in case of visible
damage or if the mains cable or connector is defective.
− Damaged USB cable of the USB Cassette Converter must
be replaced by the manufacturer or customer service or a
similar qualified person.
− Do not open the housing but have repair carried out by
an expert. Contact a specialist workshop. All liability and
warranty claims shall be void in case of repairs carried out

by users, incorrect connection or improper use.
− The USB Cassette Converter may not be operated with an
external timer or separate remote control system.
− Never immerse the affiliated components to water or other
fluids. There is a fire and electric shock hazard.
− Keep the USB Cassette Converter and the accessories away
from open flames and hot surfaces.
− Do not kink the USB cable and do not install it over sharp
edges.
− Do not expose the supplied batterie to excess heat such as
sun radiation, fire, etc. Fire and explosion hazard.
− Battery Disposal: Old or discharged batteries must be
properly disposed of and recycled in compliance with all
applicable laws. For detailed information, contact your
local solid waste authority.
− Ensure that children do not push objects into the USB
Cassette Converter.
− When not using or cleaning the USB Cassette Converter
or in case of a fault, always switch off the USB Cassette
Converter and remove the batteries to prevent damage
due to rusted or corroded batteries.
− Insert the batteries observing the proper polarity (+/-).
Failure to properly align the battery polarity can cause
personal injury and/or property damage.
− Remove old or discharged batteries from the product.
− Keep children away from batteries and pets. If you suspect
a battery has been swallowed, seek immediate medical
assistance.
− Follow the battery manufacturer’s safety, usage, and
disposal instructions.

− This USB Cassette Converter may not be used by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of
experience or know-how provided they are supervised or
have been instructed on how to safely use the USB Cassette
Converter and understand hazards resulting therefrom.
Children may not play with the USB Cassette Converter. The
USB Cassette Converter may not be cleaned or maintained
by children.
− Keep children under the age of eight away from the USB
Cassette Converter, car charger and the USB cable.
− Do not leave the USB Cassette Converter unattended
during operation.
− Keep packaging foil away from children. They could get
caught in it during play and could suffocate.

− When installing and assembling the USB Cassette
Converter ensure that a 10 cm gap is maintained on all
sides in order to provide adequate ventilation. Ensure,
in particular, that ventilation slots are not covered by
newspaper, table clothes or curtains.
− Never place the USB Cassette Converter on or near hot
surfaces. (e.g. stove tops, etc.).
− Ensure that the USB cable does not come into contact with
hot parts.
− Never expose the USB Cassette Converter to excessive
temperatures (heating, etc.). Never pour liquid into the
USB Cassette Converter.
− When cleaning, never immerse the USB Cassette Converter
in water and do not use steam cleaner. The USB Cassette
Converter could otherwise be damaged.
− Do not use the USB Cassette Converter if plastic or metal
parts of it show cracks or tears or are deformed. Replace
damaged parts only with original spare parts.
− If the USB Cassette Converter has been dropped or the
housing is damaged, turn it off. Otherwise there is a fire
and electric shock hazard.
− The USB Cassette Converter may not be taken apart,
modified or repaired. There is a fire and electric shock
hazard.
− Damage to the electronics or accessory caused by external
influences such as impacts, falls or others are not covered
by the warranty and are chargeable.
− Do not drop or bump the USB Cassette Converter and
always treat it with care. Otherwise, it could get damaged.

Preparing the USB Cassette Converter
− Remove packaging material and all protective foil.
Contents of box

Caution!
Keep plastic foil and bags away from babies and small children
as danger of suffocation.
NOTE!
Danger of material damage!
If the packaging is carelessly opened with a sharp knife or other
pointed objects, the product can be easily damaged.

− Please open packaging carefully.
1. Check that delivery is complete (see Fig. A).
2. Remove the USB Cassette Converter from packaging and
check whether the equipment or parts are damaged. If
yes, do not use the USB Cassette Converter. Contact the
service address of the manufacturer listed on the Warranty
Card.
Open and close cassette compartment
Open the cover of the cassette compartment to insert and
remove an audio cassette or to insert the batteries by moving
the side slider 10 in the direction marked “Open”. The cover
opens automatically. To close the cassette compartment
again, press the slide again in the direction marked “Open”
and then release for the slide to engage.
Insert batteries
The USB Cassette Converter can be supplied with power
by using batteries, a USB connection or a 3V power supply.
To insert batteries into the player, open the cassette
compartment as described in previous section. Next, open
the battery compartment and insert two LR6 batteries or
rechargeable batteries of the same specification in the battery
compartment. Insert the batteries observing the proper
polarity (+/-). Finally, close the battery compartment again.

NOTE!

− Failure to properly align the battery polarity can cause
personal injury and/or property damage.
Insert audio cassette
To insert an audio cassette in the player first open the cassette
compartment as described in previous section. Next insert
the audio cassette in the cassette compartment and close the
cassette compartment again.
Connect earphone
You can listen to music played on the USB Cassette Converter
by plugging in an earphone or headphones to the provided
Headphone jack 11 . Connection is via a 3.5 mm (1/8”) jack
plug.

Use
Playing back audio cassettes
Once an audio cassette has been inserted in the player and
the device is connected to power, the audio cassette can be
played back.
− Press PLAY button 5to start playback of the audio
cassette. To stop playback, press STOP button 6.
− Press FAST FORWARD button 7to wind the cassette
forward. End the fast forward operation by pressing the
STOP button 6.
− Press the REWIND button 8to rewind the cassette. End the
rewind operation by pressing the STOP button 6.
− Use side volume controls to regulate volume.
Upon reaching the end of the cassette, the cassette can be
turned to listen to the second side.

Install software
Install the « Audacity » program to transfer music from the
audio cassette converter to your computer and to convert it
into MP3 format.
− Insert the supplied CD ROM in the CD/DVD drive of your
computer. The welcome screen appears.
− Click on the name of the desired software.
− Follow the instructions on screen to carry out the installation.

−Please back up your data, prior to installing
the supplied software. The manufacturer
shall not be liable for any data loss.
−If the CD does not install automatically,
the software installation can be activated
manually from My Computer.
Note!
−Further information about the use of the
software can be found under the Help
function of the program or on the Internet
under:http://audacity.sourceforge.net/.
Connect to computer
Connect the USB Cassette Converter to your computer using
the supplied USB cable. Plug the mini USB connector into the
player and the other end into an unassigned USB port of your
computer.

The player sets itself up on the computer as a USB microphone.
Use of software
Start the « Audacity » program by double clicking on the
respective symbol on your desktop. The following window
appears:
First, the USB Cassette Converter must be set up as the audio
source in the program by selecting Edit and Settings and
then “Audio I/O” for adding “USB microphone” or “USB audio
device”.
