When using electrical appliances especially when children are present, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of re, electric shock, and/or
injury to persons, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use any handles or knobs.
3. To protect against re, electrical shock, or injury to persons DO NOT immerse cord,
plug or appliance in water or other liquid.

14. Scalding water may occur during brewing process if Brewer is not assembled or
operated properly. Do not attempt to open the top cover or water tank cover during
the brewing process or in the few seconds following the completion of brewing.
15. Fill the water reservoir of this appliance with water only. Do not ll with other liquids
or foods, except when following the specic instructions in this guide for descaling
or cleaning the machine.
16. Never leave the brewer unattended during operation.
17. Do not use the appliance with an empty or under lled water tank. Ensure the water
level is always between the MIN and MAX marking. Do not ll the water tank over
the MAX marking.
18. Keep the area above the appliance clear during use, as hot steam will escape the
appliance.
19. Always use fresh and cold water for brewing.
20. CAUTION! The top cover and capsule holder contain sharp needles. Use caution
when handling and during cleaning. Do not touch the needles.

ADDITIONAL SAFEGUARDS
This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. It may be plugged into an AC electrical
outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any other electrical outlet.
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the
risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to t into a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug and try again. If it still does not t,
contact a qualied electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
EXTENSION CORD
A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable power-supply cords or
extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a
longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1. The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord
should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and;
2. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it rmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet. Do not pull on the
line cord.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any
are found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line cord
replaced.
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undo stress
on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR IF
APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.

IMPORTANT
During the rst few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and/or a slight odor.
This is normal and should quickly disappear. It will not recur after appliance has been
used a few more times.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, do not remove the bottom
cover. No user serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done by authorized
service personnel only.
CAUTION: There are two sharp needles that puncture the K-Cup® capsule.
One is located in the top cover and the other is in the bottom of the
K-Cup® Capsule Holder itself. To avoid risk of injury, do not put your ngers
in or near the K-Cup® Capsule Assembly Housing.
CAUTION: There is extremely hot water in the K-Cup® Capsule Holder
during the brewing process. To avoid risk of injury, do not press the
Brew Chamber Release Button or open the top cover or water tank cover
during the brewing process.
UNPACKING:
1. Carefully unpack the brewer and all parts. Remove any tape, labels or packaging
materials.
2. Wash Tank Filter, Drip Tray, K-Cup® Capsule Holder and Brew Basket with warm,
soapy water. Rinse well and dry thoroughly.
3. Wipe exterior surfaces of the product with a soft, moist cloth to remove dust particles
collected during packing and handling. NEVER IMMERSE THE BREWER, CORD
OR PLUG IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
4. Place Brewer on a solid, level, heat-resistant surface (ill. a).
PREPARING FOR USE
CLEAN THE SYSTEM:
Before the rst use, it is recommended to run a 14 Oz cycle of water through the Co󰀨ee
Brewer.
1. Place the Water Tank Filter in the Water Tank (ill. g).
2. Fill the Water Tank to the MAX level and close the lid (ill. h).
3. Place the Brew Basket in place. DO NOT USE COFFEE GROUNDS.
4. Close the top cover on the Co󰀨ee Brewer (ill. e).
5. Place a large cup on the Drip Tray and beneath the Brew Spout (ill. i).
6. Plug the Co󰀨ee Brewer into an electrical outlet. Ideally, the Co󰀨ee Brewer should be
operated on its own circuit, separate from other appliances (ill. i).
7. Push the Ground Co󰀨ee Brew Button (ill. j).
8. The Co󰀨ee Brewer will heat and then dispense the water.
9. After a preset time, the Co󰀨ee Brewer will shut o󰀨 and is now ready for use.
BREWING COFFEE USING A K-Cup® CAPSULE
1. Place the Co󰀨ee Brewer on a dry, level and heat-resistant surface (ill. a).
2. Fill the Water Tank to the desired level from 6 oz to 14 oz according to the markings
located on the Water Tank Filter. The recommended amount of water to brew a
K-Cup® capsule is 8-10 oz. DO NOT place any liquid other than water in the Water

Tank (ill. h).
3. Press the Lid-opening Button on the front of the Co󰀨ee Brewer to release the top
cover and K-Cup® Capsule Puncturing Mechanism (ill. b).
4. Insert a K-Cup® capsule into the Capsule Holder (ill. d).
NOTE: Never remove or puncture the foil top of the K-Cup® capsule before
inserting into the Co󰀨ee Brewer.
5. Close the top cover of the Co󰀨ee Brewer making sure it is completely closed. The
K-Cup® capsule will be punctured on the top and bottom allowing for the ideal ow
of water during the brewing cycle (ill. e).
NOTE: If the Top Cover is not properly closed, the Capsule Puncturing
Mechanism will not lower and latch.
6. Place a mug on the Drip Tray and under the Brew Spout (ill. i).
TIP: Be sure to keep the mug in place at the end of the brew cycle to catch
any excess drips. The end of the brew cycle is indicated when the function
button is no longer illuminated.
7. Push the Capsule Brew Button (ill. j). The brew cycle will now begin. The Capsule
Button will ash during brewing and will illuminate when co󰀨ee is ready.
TIP: To stop the brewing cycle at any time, press the illuminated button.
8. When the brew cycle is complete, the illuminated button will stop and the Co󰀨ee
Brewer will shut o󰀨.
9. Do not leave used co󰀨ee capsules in the Brewer. Wait for the Brewer to cool before
removing used capsules as they remain hot following the brew cycle. Press the
Release Button on the front of the Brewer, carefully remove the used capsule and
discard. Lower the top cover.
BREWING COFFEE USING COFFEE GROUNDS
1. Place the Co󰀨ee Brewer on a dry, level and heat-resistant surface (ill. a).
2. Fill the Water Tank to the desired level from 6 oz to 14 oz according to the markings
located on the Water Tank Filter. DO NOT place any liquid other than water in the
Water Tank (ill. h).
3. Press the Lid-opening Button on the front of the Co󰀨ee Brewer to release the top
cover (ill. b).
4. Place co󰀨ee grounds into the Brew Basket. Never ll above the MAX marking on
the Brew Basket (ill. d).
5. Close the top cover of the Co󰀨ee Brewer making sure it is completely closed (ill. e).
6. Place a mug on the Drip Tray and under the Brew Spout.
TIP: Be sure to keep the mug in place at the end of the brew cycle to catch
any excess drips. The end of the brew cycle is indicated when the function
button is no longer illuminated.
7. Push the Ground Co󰀨ee Brew Button (ill. j). The brew cycle will now begin. The
Ground Co󰀨ee Brew Button will ash during brewing and will illuminate when co󰀨ee
is ready.

8. When the brew cycle is complete, the illuminated button will stop and the Co󰀨ee
Brewer will shut o󰀨.
9. Do not leave used co󰀨ee grounds in the Brewer. Wait for the Brewer to cool before
removing used co󰀨ee grounds as they remain hot following the brew cycle. Press
the Release Button on the front of the Brewer, carefully remove the co󰀨ee grounds
and discard. Lower the top cover.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance contains no user serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. Refer
it to qualied service personnel if servicing is needed. The Co󰀨ee Maker should be
cleaned on a regular basis to prolong the life of the machine and to guarantee optimal
brewing results.
TO CLEAN:
• Turn o󰀨 the Brewer and unplug from the wall outlet (ill. o).
• On a regular basis, check the Drip Tray for excess water or co󰀨ee. Empty the
Drip Tray and wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Use extra care when removing or
emptying the Drip Tray, in order to prevent spilling any excess liquids from the Drip
Tray.
• DO NOT leave used co󰀨ee capsules in the Capsule Holder. DO NOT leave used
co󰀨ee grounds in the Brewer.
• Wipe down the outside surfaces of the Brewer with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
NEVER use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning pads. NEVER immerse the
Brewer in water or any other liquid and NEVER place the appliance under running
water.
• Clean the Water Tank Filter, Drip Tray, Drip Tray Cover, K-Cup® Capsule Holder
and Brew Basket with warm, soapy water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive
cleaners. Dry thoroughly prior to use. The Drip Tray, Drip Tray Cover, K-Cup®
Capsule Holder and Brew Basket can be placed onto the top shelf of a dishwasher.
Use low temperature cycles if cleaning the parts in the dishwasher.
DESCALING:
It is advised to descale the Brewer on a regular basis. Frequency of descaling the
Brewer depends on amount of use and your local water conditions. As a general time
frame, the Brewer should be descaled every three months. Specic descaling products
for co󰀨ee makers are available in stores and online.
Follow the specic instructions for the descaling product on the package from the
descaling product manufacturer.
• Make sure the Brewer is turned O󰀨.
• Fill the Water Tank with undiluted white vinegar or if using a descaling product ll
according to the instructions on the package of the descaling product.
• Place a large mug on the Drip Tray and beneath the Brew Spout.
• Make sure there is not a co󰀨ee capsule in the Capsule Holder and close the top
cover.
• To start the clean cycle, press both the Capsule Brew Button and the Ground
Co󰀨ee Brew Button at the same time. They will illuminate. The Co󰀨ee Brewer will
pump water and will pause in between cycles. The Co󰀨ee Brewer will run 5 cycles
of approximately 30 seconds each cycle. After the 5 cycles are completed, the
Co󰀨ee Brewer will automatically shut o󰀨.
• After allowing to sit, run another brew cycle without adding a co󰀨ee capsule.
Empty the dispensed liquid that has accumulated in the mug. Use extreme
caution as contents may be hot.
• Fill the Water Tank with 8 ounces of distilled or bottled water and run a full brew
cycle.
• Run three additional brew cycles using distilled or bottled water, each time without
a co󰀨ee capsule. This will clean the Brewer and get rid of any residual taste from
the vinegar or descaler.
• The Brewer is now ready for regular use again.

TO STORE:
• Be sure all parts are clean and dry before storing. Store appliance in its box or
in a clean, dry place. Never store it while it is hot or wet. Never wrap cord tightly
around the appliance; the line cord should be inserted into the cord storage on back
of co󰀨ee maker.
• ALWAYS store the Brewer in an upright position, as a small amount of water may
remain in the boiler.

ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
This product carries a warranty that it will be free from defects in material and workmanship
for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty is valid for the original
retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep your
original sales receipt.
IMPORTANT: This warranty does not cover damages resulting from accident, misuse
or abuse, lack of reasonable care, the a󰀩xing of any attachments not provided with the
product, loss of parts, or subjecting the appliance to any but the specied voltage. Read
directions carefully.
If service is required during the warranty period, properly pack your unit. We recommend
using the original carton and packing materials. Return the product to your nearest Wal-
Mart store with the sales receipt. A replacement or refund may be o󰀨ered at the discretion

DESCALSIFICACIÓN:

2. Llene el tanque de agua hasta el nivel deseado, entre 6 oz y 14 oz, de acuerdo con
las marcas situadas en el ltro del tanque de agua. NO coloque ningún otro líquido
que no sea agua en el tanque de agua (ill. h).
3. Pulse el botón Brew Chamber Release en la parte delantera de la cafetera para
liberar la cubierta superior (ill. b).
4. Coloque los granos de café en la cesta de infusión. Nunca llene la cesta de infusión
por encima de la marca MAX (ill. d).
5. Cierre la cubierta superior de la cafetera y asegúrese de que esté completamente
cerrada (ill. e).
6. Coloque una taza en la bandeja de goteo y debajo del surtidor.
CONSEJO: Asegúrese de mantener la taza en su lugar al nal del ciclo de

IMPORTANTE

DESEMBALADO:
1. Abra con cuidado la cafetera y todas las partes. Retire la cinta adhesiva, las
etiquetas y los materiales de embalaje.
2. Lave el ltro del tanque, la bandeja de goteo, el soporte de la cápsula K-Cup® y la
cesta de infusión con agua tibia y jabonosa. Enjuague bien y seque completamente.
3. Limpie las supercies exteriores del producto con un paño suave y húmedo para

Nunca sumerja la cafetera, el cable o el enchufe en agua o cualquier otro líquido.
4. Coloque la cafetera sobre una supercie sólida nivelada y resistente al calor (ill. a).
PREPARACIÓN PARA EL USO
LIMPIAR EL SISTEMA:
Antes del primer uso, se recomienda ejecutar un ciclo con 14 oz de agua en la cafetera.
1. Coloque el ltro del tanque de agua en el tanque de agua (ill. g).
2. Llene el tanque de agua hasta el nivel MAX y cierre la tapa (ill. h).
3. Coloque la cesta de infusión en su lugar. NO USE GRANOS DE CAFÉ.
4. Cierre la cubierta superior de la cafetera (ill. e).
5. Coloque una taza grande en la bandeja de goteo y debajo del surtidor (ill. i).
6. Enchufe la cafetera en una toma eléctrica. Idealmente, la cafetera debe ser operada
en su propio circuito, separada de otros aparatos (ill. i).
7. Empuje el botón Ground Co󰀨ee Brew (Preparar café en grano) (ill. j).
8. La cafetera se calentará y luego dispensará el agua.
9. Después de un tiempo preestablecido, la cafetera se apagará y estará lista para el
uso.

PROTECCIÓN ADICIONAL
Este aparato es para uso doméstico. Puede ser enchufado en un tomacorriente de CA
(corriente ordinaria doméstica). No utilice ninguna otra toma de corriente eléctrica.
ENCHUFE POLARIZADO
Este aparato tiene un enchufe polarizado (una hoja es más ancha que la otra). Para
reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, este enchufe está diseñado para encajar en un
tomacorriente polarizado de una sola manera. Si el enchufe no entra completamente en
el tomacorriente, invierta el enchufe y vuelva a intentarlo. Si aun así no encaja, póngase
en contacto con un electricista calicado. No intente modicar el enchufe de ninguna
manera.
CABLE DE EXTENSIÓN
Se proporciona un cable eléctrico corto para reducir los riesgos de que se enrede o
de tropezar, como ocurriría con un cable más largo. Hay cables de alimentación
desmontables más largos, o cables de extensión, disponibles y se pueden usar si se
tiene cuidado en su uso. Si se utiliza un cable de alimentación desmontable más largo
o un cable de extensión:
1. La clasicación eléctrica marcada en el cable de alimentación desmontable o en el
cable de extensión debe ser por lo menos tan grande como la clasicación eléctrica
del aparato, y;
2. El cable más largo debe colocarse de manera que no cuelgue del mostrador o

15. Llene el depósito de agua de este aparato con agua solamente. No llene con otros
líquidos o alimentos, excepto cuando se sigan las instrucciones especícas de esta
guía para la descalcicación o para limpiar el aparato.
16. Nunca deje la cafetera sin supervisión mientras esté en funcionamiento.
17. No utilice el aparato si el tanque tiene poca o nada de agua. Asegúrese de que el
nivel de agua esté siempre entre la marca MÍN y MÁX. No llene el tanque de agua
sobre la marca MÁX.
18. Mantenga la zona arriba del aparato despejada mientras esté en uso, ya que saldrá
