Three (3) types of mounting brackets
You Must Have
A computer with a modern web
browser, and if necessary, additional
Ethernet ports/cables to connect the
Mako to the computer.
An internet connection through one or
more of these connectivity options:
(For Wired Broadband) A
broadband modem that delivers an
ethernet connection.
Options you May Want:
The use of an electrical surge
protector for your equipment is
recommended.
An Ethernet switch(es) to extend your
network(s).
Important Safety
Instructions
Avoiding Fire, Shock, Electrical
Damage
Keep your Mako away from water or
damp environments, including wet
basements and around refrigeration
units. Do not place containers of uid on
the Mako, such as drinks, vases or
cleaning products.
Use surge protectors to mitigate
interference and damage from lightning
storms.
Observe all warnings afxed to this
Mako or its power supply.

Do not attempt to open the Mako.
There are no user-serviceable parts.
Repairs may only be performed by
accredited service personnel.
Protect your credentials. Do not write
your password down or give it to
anyone else, not even to Mako Support
personnel or sanctioned Managed
Service Providers: they will never ask for
your password. On rare occasions the
Mako ID may be asked for. This is
printed at the back of the Mako.
Connecting your Mako
Please do not connect your Mako into
the power outlet until all the cables
and antennas have been attached.
Your Mako 4600 appliance gets its
conguration from the Mako Central
Management System (CMS). Your Mako
reseller should have precongured a
prole for your Mako 4600 appliance in
the CMS and should also have provided
you with login credentials to access the
CMS to control and manage your Mako.
The Mako CMS can be accessed by
clicking the login link at:
https://www.makonetworks.com/
There are two CMSs, PCI and non-PCI.
PCI stands for Payment Card Industry.
Please use the PCI CMS login link
unless told otherwise by your Mako
reseller.
Connect a LAN port to your network
switch. In smaller networks, the Mako
could connect directly to a single device,
like a PC.
Connecting your Mako Appliance to the Network
LAN Port 2 should be connected to your existing local network.

Any changes or modications not expressly approved by the party responsible for

Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a
Class B digital device, pursuant to par 15 of the FCC Rules. These limit are designed
to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential
installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy
and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may case harmful
interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause
harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by
turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
1. Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
2. Increase the seperation between the equipment and receiver.
3. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the
receiver is connected.
4. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
This equipment complies with FCC RF radiation exposure limits set forth for an
uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with a
minimum distance of 20 centimeters between the radiator and your body.
