High / Low Volume Rocker Switch
For adjusting the loudness separately for the
handset (earphone) and hands-free function.
PTT (Push-to-Talk Button)
Press and hold to send. Release to receive.
PTT is only available if you use semi-duplex
in GSM-R or FM mode. (dualfocX®).
Exit Button
To end or rejecting a call. To switch on and
off (keep button pressed for 3-4 seconds).
In the menu :
- return to the initial state
- delete button for the last entered number
Accept-/ Send Button
Iinitiating or accepting a call.
Open the „xed“ submenu.

Switch on / off Handheld
Switch on:
» Press the exit button.
The handheld is initialised after is switched on.
» Enter the PIN code.
The PIN request only appears if the SIM card requires this.
»Conrm with the left-hand selection button OK.
Switch off:
» Press and hold down the exit button for 3-4 seconds.
»Conrm with the left-hand selection button Yes.
The handheld disconnects the connection. The display and keypad lighting is switched off.
After a short time the handheld switches itself off.

Setting up an Emergency Call
» Press the emergency call button.
The emergency tone sounds max. 5 s.
» Press the PTT button within 3 s.
If the PTT conrmation is not given, the display switches back to the previously used state.
» Hold the handheld in your hand to speak and listen.
[1] Press and hold down the PTT button to speak.
[2] Release the PTT button to listen.
Setting up a Point-to-Point Call
Call on number dialled:
» Enter the number to using the numbers block to
the initial state.
» Press the send button.
The connection is established. The display shows the call number
and the dialling symbol.
» Listen and speak like a conventional mobile phone.
Call from the phonebook:
» Open the menu Phonebook >Phonebook
entry [x].
» Select the entry.
» Press the send button.
» Listen and speak like a conventional mobile phone.
Setting up a Group Call or Broadcast Call
Group- and broadcast call from the phonebook:
» Open the menu Phonebook > Broadcast call >
VGC [x] / VBC [x].
» Press the send button.
The display shows the VGC / VBC and the dialling symbol.
» Press down the PTT button to speak.
» Release the PTT button after speech.
»Press the exit button, to terminate the outgoing call.
The display shows the VGC / VBC and the derogation symbol.
Requirement:
A group call or groadcast call can only be triggered when a corresponding entry is located on the SIM card.
Incoming Group Calls:
The incoming group call is signalled by an attention
tone.
The incoming group call is signalled by an attention tone.
» Press down the PTT button to speak.
» Release the PTT button after speech.
» Press the exit button, to terminate the call.
The display shows the group number and the derogation symbol.
The system switches back to the basic menu.
