The Marantz VC5200 delivers the ultimate in video
quality, thanks to its progressive scan component video
output, true 3:2 pulldown detection and advanced
digital video processing circuitry. When connected to a
480p progressive scan-compatible TV or display device,
scan lines are eliminated for remarkably realistic image
quality, with spectacular resolution, clarity and color
accuracy. In addition, the VC5200’s 3:2 pulldown
detection provides the best-possible reproduction of
film-based DVD-Video discs, by correctly detecting and
decoding the 24 frames-per-second of film content that
are transferred to the 30 frames-per-second required for
video playback. The result, when viewed on a
progressive scan video display, is smoother, more
natural moving images. This state-of-the-art display
capability is further enhanced by high-performance
digital video technologies, such as 10-bit video D/A
conversion with 27MHz filtering, along with premium
optics and a precision changer mechanism.

Complementing its unparalleled video reproduction,
the Marantz VC5200 is engineered for high-end audio
performance, featuring 96kHz/24-bit audio D/A
converters, with true 96/24 digital audio output for
exceptional resolution and dynamic range. Extensive

electronic component selection characterize the
musical detail, imaging and tonal accuracy Marantz is
famous for.
Multi-Functional Convenience
The VC5200 features a six-step zoom control with
maximum 16x magnification, extensive navigation and
picture search modes. It offers a 5-disc CD random play
operation (3 modes), 3D surround sound, delivering a
surround sound effect from just two stereo speakers
and includes Dolby Digital®and DTS®surround sound
compatibility. All functions can be easily controlled via
its multi-language on-screen menu, remote control and
intuitive front-panel control layout. The VC5200 is also
compatible with CD-R, CD-RW, Video CD discs and
music playback from a single MP3-encoded CD disc,
which delivers up to 10 hours of
continuous music. The VC5200
