Operation
Using your new Electronic Deadbolt
couldn’t be easier!
To operate, simply follow these steps:
When the keypad is not illluminated
in green the dial free-spins and
doesn’t engage the bolt.
A. Press any button once to activate
the keypad.
B. Enter your 4–10 digit code and
press Enter
(pre-set codes can be
found on pg. 2)
.
C. The keypad will light in green
when the correct code is entered.
D. Turn the dial to unlock or lock.
When the keypad is green, or flashing green, the bolt can be
extended or retracted.
E. When leaving home, if the deadbolt is locked, simply turn
the deadbolt thumb-turn to unlock.
F. Press the
Exit
button. The keypad will be flashing green.
G.
After closing the door behind you, turn the dial to re-lock the
deadbolt – you don’t have to enter your code. The exterior
dial will disengage after 15 seconds giving you ample time to
exit. You can also press any button to deactivate.
Note: To assure maximum security, always spin the dial to
ensure the mechanism has disengaged.

Changing the Batteries
For low battery indications see
“Troubleshooting” on pages 13
and 14.
A. Remove interior cover.
B. Replace batteries with 4 AAA
alkaline batteries.
Key Override
You can use the key override
to open the lock if your
batteries are dead or user
code is unknown.
NightWatch®Feature
For added security you can
use the NightWatch®feature,
which locks out all keys
and codes. With the bolt
extended, push up on the
bottom release button and
pull out the thumb-turn to
activate NightWatch®.

Programming
The deadbolt contains two factory-preset codes but can
be programmed to store up to a total of 20 additional
unique user codes. Codes can be added
and deleted at any time.
You’ll need to know your administrative code before
beginning programming. It can be found on the label
on the inside front cover of your user’s guide (page 2).
To begin programming:
Remove the upper interior cover (A).
Locate the “Program” button (B).
Programming an Entry Code
Press the “Program” button until the keypad on the exterior of the door
begins to flash blue. When it flashes blue you can release the button.
Enter your personal administrative code…
Push the
1-2
button (the function button for programming a
new code) and press
Enter
.
Type in a 4-10 digit code and again press
Enter
.
Re-enter your 4-10 digit code and again press
Enter
.
• If the keypad lights in green your new code has been confirmed
and added.
• If it lights red the code wasn’t confirmed and you’ll need to
repeat the steps again.
• If the keypad flashes red, the code was found in the memory
and is already an active code.

Deleting a Code
Press the “Program” button until the keypad on the exterior of the
door begins to flash blue. When it flashes blue you can release the
button.
Enter your personal administrative code…
Push the
3-4
button (the function button for deleting a code) and
press
Enter
.
Type in the 4-10 digit code you want to delete and again press
Enter
.
Re-enter the code and again press
Enter
.
• If the keypad lights in green the code was deleted.
• If it lights red the code wasn’t deleted and you’ll need to repeat the
steps again.
• If the keypad flashes red, the code was not found in the memory
and is not an active code.
Changing the Administrative Code
Press the “Program” button until the keypad on the exterior of the
door begins to flash blue. When it flashes blue you can release the
button.
Enter your personal administrative code…
Push the

button (the function button for changing your
administrative code) and press
Enter
.
Type in your new 6-digit administrative code and press
Enter
.
Re-enter your new 6-digit administrative code and again press
Enter
.
• If the keypad lights in green your new administrative code has been
confirmed and added.
• If it lights red the code wasn’t confirmed and you’ll need to repeat
the steps again.

Deleting All Codes
If for any reason you want to remove all codes here’s how you do it.
Press the “Program” button until the keypad on the exterior of the
door begins to flash blue. When it flashes blue you can release the
button.
Enter your personal administrative code…
Push the

(the function button for deleting all codes) and
press
Enter
.
Re-enter your administrative code and again press
Enter
.
• If the keypad lights in green all codes have been deleted.
• If it lights red the deletions weren’t confirmed and you’ll need
to repeat the steps again.
Deactivate / Reactivate All Codes
You can also deactivate all of your stored codes for a period of time
and then reactivate them.

stored codes), and press

If it lights red the codes weren’t deactivated and you’ll need to
repeat the steps again.

To reactivate the stored codes…
Press the “Program” button until the keypad on the exterior of the
door begins to flash blue. When it flashes blue you can release the
button.
Enter your personal administrative code…
Push the

button, the function activating all stored codes,
and press
Enter
.
If the keypad lights in green the reactivation has been confirmed.
If it lights red the codes weren’t reactivated and you’ll need to
repeat the steps again.
Reset Factory-Set Administrative Code
You can easily reset the administrative code to the factory setting. If
you do this ALL user codes will be cleared.
Press the “Program” button until the keypad on the exterior of the
door begins to flash blue. When it flashes blue you can release the
button.
Press the “Program” and the “Exit” buttons (under battery holder)
together and hold them until the keypad turns solid blue – about
60 seconds.
At that point all user codes have been removed and the
administrative code has been reset to the factory set code. The
factory administrative code can be found on the label on the inside
front cover (pg. 2) of your User Guide.

Security
Use the chart below; keep track of your user codes. Do not share
your codes with anyone.
You can store up to 20 different user codes.
If you can’t remember who has a particular code you can delete all
of the stored codes (see Programming section).
As with any dial style lock, always spin the dial after locking and
LED turns off, to ensure the lock mechanism is disengaged (see
“Troubleshooting”).

Red 1. Ensure you are pushing a button to wake
up the keypad and then enter your code.
Red 2. Ensure that you are pressing hard enough
to activate each button as you enter your
user code. (Blue light gets brighter when
button registers a push).
Green 1. If lock has just been installed; the lock may
be binding and may need to be readjusted
by loosening the 2 long screws that secure
the Inside Assembly to the External
assembly, ensuring smooth bolt travel and
that no excess wires are interfering with
Sled travel (Sled is the black plastic part
below the cylinder tailpiece).
Green 2. If the lock has been installed and working
properly; typically retry and/or remove
the top battery for 10 seconds and then
reinstall it.
No Light Check batteries to make sure they are not
loose (also make sure they still have power) -
Check ribbon cable connection- you will need
to partially disassemble the lock to check the
ribbon cable connection.
There is a delay

door open – if it works with the door open

Fonctionnement
Utiliser votre nouveau pêne dormant
électronique est très facile!
Suivez les étapes ci-dessous pour le faire
fonctionner :
Lorsque le clavier n’est pas éclairé en
vert, le cadran tourne librement et
n’engage pas le pêne.
A. Appuyez sur n’importe quel bouton
une fois pour activer le clavier
numérique.
B. Entrez votre code de 4 à 10 chiffres et appuyez sur Enter
(les codes préprogrammés sont indiqués à la page 2).
C. Le clavier numérique sera éclairé en vert lorsque le code
approprié est entré.
D. Faites tourner le cadran pour déverrouiller ou verrouiller.
Lorsque le clavier numérique est vert, ou vert clignotant, le
pêne peut être sorti ou rentré.
E. Lorsque vous quittez votre domicile, si le pêne est verrouillé,
il suffit de faire tourner la barrette tournante pour le
déverrouiller.
F. Appuyez sur le bouton Exit . Le clavier numérique
clignotera en vert.
G. Après avoir refermé la porte derrière vous, tournez le
bouton pour verrouiller le pêne dormant- vous n’avez pas à
saisir votre code. Le bouton extérieur se déclenchera après
15 secondes, ce qui vous donne amplement le temps de
sortir. Vous pouvez aussi appuyer sur n’importe quel bouton
pour le désactiver.

Remplacer les piles

B. Remplacez les piles par 4 piles
alcalines AAA.

Déverrouillé
Pour plus de sécurité, vous pouvez
utiliser la fonction NightWatch®pour
neutraliser toutes les clés et tous les
codes. Alors que le pêne est allongé,
poussez vers le haut sur le bouton de
relâchement du fond et tirez la barrette
tournante pour activer NightWatch®.
