1 Introduction
1-1 Introduction
Thank you for purchasing RMO series (19-inch rack mount holder).
Matsusada Precision takes every precaution to ensure the quality of our products. Please refer carefully
to this manual to use this product correctly and safely, and to achieve the best possible performance.
We have made every effort to provide all the necessary information in this manual. However, please do
not hesitate to contact us if you find any errors or omissions.
1-2 Overview
The RMO series is a rack mount adapter for our tabletop power supplies, electronic loads, and digital
controllers in a 19-inch rack.
The product is specially designed in accordance with Matsusada products to be installed, so it can be
easily used for installing them without measures against heat generation.
1-3 Features
•Specially designed for cooling so as not to affect the performance of the mounted devices. *1
•As for models employing built-in forced cooling fans, you have only to prepare a single cable to provide
power to drive the fan and the power supply.
•Perfect fit for the 19-inch rack cabinet lineup (RAC series). *2
*1 The intake temperature of the power supply unit should be within the operating temperature range. It
is generally known that more than 10C higher temperature than the operating temperature could cut
the service life in half.

supplied.
*2: Both the AC input cables of the main unit and the cooling fan can be put together as a whole one.
(Prepare AC wire harness separately.)
*3: Both the AC input cables of the main unit and the cooling fan together as a whole one. And the
[Power] switch ON/OFF on the power supply front panel can turn maximum 10 units ON/OFF at once.

*4: Some blank panels may be not used depending on number of power supply units to be installed.
*5: Note that DRJ series and DRS series with handles exceed 5.24 inches (133 mm) in height.
If you do not need the handle, select DRJ-LNh (option without handles).
*6: To increase the air flow, make space more than 10 cm. But, if it cannot be allocated, install a forced
cooling system.
*7 As EGD series can operate as a charge/discharge system combined with RK series
(400W/800W/1200W), they can be mixed and stored compactly in the holder.

2-2 Initial Inspection
After unpacking the box, check the rack mount holder as well as the cover for scratches, dents, or other
damage on the unit caused by handling or transportation. If you find any abnormalities, please contact
the carrier and us.
2-3 Installation Condition
Install and use the unit in a horizontal orientation.
The intake temperature of the power supply unit should be within the operating
temperature range. It is generally known that more than 10C higher temperature
than the operating temperature could cut the service life in half.
Do not concentrate weight on the product when installing.
・DRJ series and DRS series with handles exceed 133 mm in height.
・RGJ series with handles exceed 149 mm in height.
2-4 Handling Precautions
Do not transport or install by a single person.
Do not attempt to install or remove by a single person.
When attaching the power supply unit to the rack mount, do not use longer screws
than 8 mm in length.
・Use the screws (M3 x 8) supplied for the plastic feet for installation.
・However, as for REKJ series, use the supplied pan-head screws (M3 x 8) for it.
