2. Before Repair and Adjustment
1. Turn off the power supply. Using a10 , 10W resistor, connect
both ends of power supplycapacitors (C102-105, 127) inorder to
discharge the voltage.
2. Before turning the power supplyon, after completion of repair,
slowlyapplythe primaryvoltage byusing apower supplyvoltage
controller to make sure that the consumed current at 50/60 Hzin
NO SIGNALmode shouldbe shownbelow with respect to supply
voltage 230 V/240 V.

3. About the Protection Circuitry
The protection circuitrymayhave operatedif eitherof the following conditions is noticed:
*Nosound is heardwhenthe poweris supplied.
*Sound stops during a performance.
The functions of this circuitryis toprevent circuitrydamage, forexample, the positive and
negative speakerconnection wires are “shorted”, orif speakersystems withanimpedande less
thanthe indicatedratedimpedance of this unit are used.
If this occurs, followthe procedure outlinedbelow:
1. Press the STANDBY /ONbutton, switch to STANDBYmode.
2. Determine the cause of the problem and correct it.
3

3. Press the STANDBY /ONbutton once again, supplythe power.
Note:
Whenthe protection circuitryfunctions, the unit will not operate unless the STANDBY /ON
button is first switchedSTANDBY and thenON again.

7. Power Source ON/OFF and Signal Check
To operate this unit SE-HD510 normally, it is necessaryforconnecting withthe unit ST-HD510. /
Whenoperating the unit SE-HD510, be sure toconnect the unit ST-HD510 byconnection cable.
1. Connect with the Tuner (ST-HD510). (Asshownin Fig. 1)
2. Connect the AC mains lead to Amplifier (SE-HD510). (Asshownin
Fig. 1)
3. Connect the speakers to speaker terminal. (Asshownin Fig. 1)
7

4. Turn on the power of the Amplifier (SE-HD510).
5. Press INPUTSELECTORto select the external source (EXT/MD)of
the Amplifier (SE-HD510).
6. Input asound signal to external input terminal of Tuner (ST-
HD510), and confirm to be outputted from the speaker. (Both
“High” and “Low”.)
