Instructions For Use
Typical Hard Hat System Components
WARNING
Use only if package is received unopened and contents are
undamaged. If damage is noted, contact the shipper for replace-
ment or repair.
Prior to using any MAXAIR®System or component, be sure to be
familiar with the system’s NIOSH approved conguration.
DO NOT use if any component is damaged. If any components are
damaged or contaminated and therefore unt for safe and e󰀨ective
use, they should be replaced immediately.
Only trained and experienced personnel who have read and under-
stand the User’s Instructions should use this product.
Failure to follow the User’s Instructions, these and in the MAXAIR
Systems User’s Instructions, P/N 03521015, may be hazardous to
the user’s health.
The institution using this product in any application is responsible
for determining the appropriateness of this equipment relative to
regulatory requirements. Bio-Medical Devices Intl, Inc. does not
recommend the appropriate systems for a particular institution or
facility.
Use only MAXAIR Systems/ NIOSH approved compatible
components.
NOT for use in atmospheres immediately dangerous to life or health
(IDLH), and atmospheres containing less than 19.5% oxygen, or
more than 25% oxygen.

Intended Use
The MAXAIR Chin Strap is an accessory item for MAXAIR Hard
Hat congurations that enhances Helmet-to-head secureness of
t. This may be helpful for applications where a worker’s activity or
environmental factors could otherwise dislodge the Hard Hat from
its properly donned position.
For Use With
The Chin Strap may be used with any MAXAIR Hard Hat System
conguration.

Instructions for Use
Assembly - ChinStrap to Hard Hat Skirt
A. Grasp one side Short Front Strap Hook at its base and place
tip of the forenger against back of Hook.
B. With Hook open side pointing to Hard Hat front, press Hook
on to Hard Hat Skirt Side Front Silver Rivet until it (audible)
clicks in place, securely.
C. Repeat for other side.

one hand and the male buckle in the

A. Grasp a ChinStrap Hook base between thumb
and forenger.
B. Using force from the thumb, push Hook o󰀨 Hard
Hat Skirt Rivet.
C. Repeat for all four ChinStrap Hooks.

Dis-Assembly - Dis-Connect ChinStrap Buckle
3. Press the buckles to-
gether until the audible
click indicates they are
securely connected.
2. Insert the male buckle
into the female buckle.
3. Pull the female and male buckle halves apart.
2. Depress the spring locks
on the female buckle with
the thumb and forenger.
Adjust the Strap Lengths
1. Grasp one of the four straps by the adjustment buckle.
2. Push up on either strap leg from one side, and pull down on
opposite side to increase and decrease length as desired.
Repeat above A., B., and
C., for both side Long Rear
Strap Hooks, with Hook
opening facing Hard Hat
rear.
