PACKAGING DETAIL
This tool is intended as a stationary machine for performing lengthways and crossways straight cuts in
wood or similar materials; also possible are horizontal mitre angles of 45° (left side) to 45° (right side) as
well as vertical bevel angles of 45° (left side).

GENERAL SAFETY
Warnings
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or
battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids,
gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose
control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter
plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of
electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk
of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep
cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of
electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord
suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD)
protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use
a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of
inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust
mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce
personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power
source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on
invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached
to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the
power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from
moving parts.
Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are
connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
4) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool
will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before
making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures
reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the
power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any
other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired
before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less
likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into
account the working conditions and the work to be performed.
Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
SAFETY INSTRUCTION FOR MITRE SAW
GENERAL
1. Only use the tool for cutting wood
2. Always saw a single workpiece (workpieces placed one on the other or next to each other cannot be
properly clamped which may result in saw blade binding or workpiece slipping during sawing)
3.Inrush currents cause short-time voltage drops; under unfavourable power supply conditions, other
equipment may be affected (if the system impedance of the power supply is lower than 0,295 + j0,184
Ohm, disturbances are unlikely to occur); if you need further clarification, you may contact your local

OUTDOOR USE
When used outdoors, connect the tool via a fault current (FI) circuit breaker with a triggering current of 30
mA maximum, and only use an extension cord which is intended for outdoor use and equipped with a
splashproof coupling-socket
BEFORE USE
1.Always check that the supply voltage is the same as the voltage indicated on the nameplate of the tool
2.Use completely unrolled and safe extension cords with a capacity of 16 Amps (U.K. 13 Amps)
3.Always mount the tool on a flat and stable working surface (e.g. workbench)
4.Wear protective glasses, hearing protection, and protective gloves
5.Dust from material such as paint containing lead, some wood species, minerals and metal may be
harmful (contact with or inhalation of the dust may cause allergic reactions and/or respiratory diseases to
the operator or bystanders); wear a dust mask and work with a dust extraction device when connectable
6.Certain kinds of dust are classified as carcinogenic (such as oak and beech dust) especially in conjunction
with additives for wood conditioning; wear a dust mask and work with a dust extraction device when
connectable
7.Follow the dust-related national requirements for the materials you want to work with
8.Do not work materials containing asbestos (asbestos is considered carcinogenic)
9.Never use the tool without the original protection guard system
10.Check the protective guard for proper closing before each use
11.Do not operate the saw if the protective guard does not move freely and close instantly
12.Never clamp or tie the protective guard into the open position
13.Always firmly clamp the workpiece (do not work with pieces that are too small to clamp)
14.Always support the free ends of a long workpiece
15.Never allow another person to hold or support the workpiece while working; use the saw table
extension
16.Never use the tool without the table insert; replace a defective or worn table insert
17.Remove all obstacles on top of as well as underneath the cutting path before you start cutting
18.Avoid damage that can be caused by screws, nails and other elements in your workpiece; remove them
before you start working.
ACCESSORIES
1.Never use grinding/cutting discs with this tool 18

can be obtained from your MAXPRO dealer
3.For mounting/using non-MAXPRO accessories observe the instructions of the manufacturer concerned
4.Use only accessories with an allowable speed matching at least the highest no-load speed of the tool
5.Never use saw blades made of high speed steel (HSS)
6.Do not use a saw blade which is cracked, deformed or dull
7.Only use saw blades with a hole diameter which fits the tool spindle without play; never use reducors or
adaptors to fit large-hole saw blades
8.Protect accessories from impact, shock and grease
DURING USE
1.Do not force the tool; apply light and continuous pressure

LASER RADIATION
1.Do not look into the laser beam (laser radiation)

3.Do not use any magnifying optical tools (such as magnifying glasses, telescopes, or binoculars)
to view the laser beam
4.Do not operate the tool in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust
5.Do not operate the tool with children around
6.Do not replace the installed laser with another laser type
AFTER USE
1.After switching off the tool, never stop the rotation of the accessory by a lateral force applied against it
2.Only remove cut-offs or other parts of the workpiece from the cutting area when all moving parts have
come to a complete standstill
3.The saw blade becomes very hot during use; do not touch it before it has cooled down WHEN
CONNECTING NEW 3-PIN PLUG (U.K. ONLY):
4.Do not connect the blue (= neutral) or brown (= live) wire in the cord of this tool to the earth terminal of
the plug
5.If for any reason the old plug is cut off the cord of this tool, it must be disposed of safely and not left

90° cross-cuts and 0°-45° rotary table (Fig. 10)
The crosscut saw can be used to make right and left angular cuts of 0°- 45° in relation to the stop rail.
ͻLift the machine head (4) to its top position.
ͻRelease the turntable (8) by slackening the locking grip (10).
ͻUsing the handle (2), set the turntable (8) to the desired angle, i.e. the marking on the turntable must
coincide with the desired angular setting (17) on the stationary base plate (9).
ͻRe-tighten the locking handle (10) in order to fix the rotary table (8) in position.
ͻMake the cut as described in Section 6.1).
Mitre cuts 0°-45° and rotary table 0° (Fig. 8/11)
The crosscut saw can be used to make miter cuts of 0° - 45° in relation to the work face.
ͻLift the machine head (4) to its top position.
ͻFix the rotary table (8) in 0° position.
ͻUndo the tightening screw (12) and use the handle (2) to tilt the machine head (4) to the left until the
pointer (11) coincides with the required angle value (15).
ͻRe-tighten the locking nut (12) and make the cut as described in Section 6.1).
Mitre cuts 0°-45° and rotary table 0°-45° (Fig. 8/13)
The crosscut saw can be used to make miter cuts to the left of 0°- 45° in relation to the work face and, at
the same time, 0° - 45° in relation to the stop rail (double miter cut).
ͻLift the machine head (4) to its top position.
ͻRelease the turntable (8) by slackening the locking grip (10).
ͻAdjust the rotary table (8) by its handle (2) to the required angle (see also Section 6.2).
ͻRetighten the tightening screw (10) in order to secure the turntable in place.
ͻUndo the tightening screw (12) and use the handle (2) to tilt the machine head (4) to the left until it
coincides with the required angle value (in this connection see also section
ͻScrew the tightening screw (12) back down again.
Sawdust bag (Fig. 2)
The saw is equipped with a debris bag (14) for sawdust and chips.

The debris bag (14) can be emptied by means of a zipper at the bottom.
Replacing the saw blade (Fig. 1-6)
ͻBefore changing the saw blade: Remove the power plug!
ͻWear work gloves to prevent injury whenchanging the saw blade.
ͻSwing the machine head upwards (4).
ͻUndo the screw (z) on the cover plate (f) of the saw blade.
ͻPull back the adjustable blade guard (6) and at the same time turn the cover plate to achieve access to
the flange bolt.
ͻPress the saw shaft lock (13) with one hand while positioning the Allen key (d) on the flange bolt (31)
with the other hand. The saw shaft lock (13) engages after no more than one rotation.
ͻNow, using a little more force, slacken the flange screw (31) in the clockwise direction.
ͻTurn the flange screw (31) right out and remove the external flange (32).
ͻTake the blade (5) off the inner flange and pull out downwards.
ͻCarefully clean the flange screw (31), outer flange (32) and inner flange.
ͻFit and fasten the new saw blade (5) in reverse order.
ͻImportant. The cutting angle of the teeth, in other words the direction of rotation of the of the arrow on
the housing.
ͻCheck to make sure that all safety devices are properly mounted and in good working condition before
you begin working with the saw again.
ͻImportant. Every time that you change the
saw blade, check to see that it spins freely in the table insert
(22) in both perpendicular and 45° angle settings.
ͻImportant. The work to change and align the saw blade (5) must be carried out correctly
Operating the laser
To switch on: Move the ON/OFF switch to the “I” position to switch on the laser. A laser line is
projected onto the material you wish to process, providing an exact guide for the cut.
To switch off : Move the ON/OFF switch to the “0” position.
Electric brake
For safety reasons, the equipment is supplied with an electric brake system for the saw blade.
The equipment may therefore emit an odor or generate sparks when it is switched off . This has no infl
uence on the operational performance or safety of the equipment.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always pull out the mains power plug before starting any cleaning work.
Cleaning Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible.
Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure. ͻWe recommend
that you clean the device immediately each time you have finished using it. ͻClean the equipment
regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these could attack
the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensure that no water can seep into the device. The ingress of water into
an electric tool increases the risk of an electric shock.
Carbon brushes
In case of excessive sparking, have the carbon brushes checked only by a qualified electrician.
Important! The carbon brushes should not be replaced by anyone but a qualified electrician.
Maintenance ͻThere are no parts inside the equipment which require additional maintenance. ͻLubricate
all moving parts at regular intervals.
Storage
Store the equipment and accessories out of children’s reach in a dark and dry place at above freezing
temperature. The ideal storage temperature is between 5 and 30 °C. Store the electric tool in its original
packaging. ENVIRONMENT
ͻDo not dispose of electric tools, accessories and

packaging together with household waste material
- in observance of European Directive 2002/96/EC onwaste of electric and electronic equipment and its
implementation in accordance with national law,electric tools that have reached the end of their life
must be collected separately and returned to anenvironmentally compatible recycling facility

1) ARBEITSPLATZSICHERHEIT

3) SICHERHEIT VON PERSONEN
a) Seien Sie aufmerksam, achten Sie darauf, was Sie tun, und gehen Sie mit Vernunft an die Arbeit mit
einem Elektrowerkzeug. Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn Sie müde sind oder unter dem Einfluss von
Drogen, Alkohol oder Medikamenten stehen. Ein Moment der Unachtsamkeit beim Gebrauch des Gerätes
kann zu ernsthaften Verletzungen führen.
b) Tragen Sie persönliche Schutzausrüstung und immer eine Schutzbrille. Das Tragen persönlicher
Schutzausrüstung, wie Staubmaske, rutschfeste Sicherheitsschuhe, Schutzhelm oder Gehörschutz, je nach
Art und Einsatz des Elektrowerkzeuges, verringert das Risiko von Verletzungen.
c) Vermeiden Sie eine unbeabsichtigte Inbetriebnahme. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das
Elektrowerkzeug ausgeschaltet ist, bevor Sie es an die Stromversorgung und/oder den Akku anschließen,
es aufnehmen oder tragen. Wenn Sie beim Tragen des Elektrowerkzeuges den Finger am Schalter haben
oder das Gerät eingeschaltet an die Stromversorgung anschließen, kann dies zu Unfällen führen.

Werkzeug oder Schlüssel, der sich in einem drehenden Geräteteil befindet, kann zu Verletzungen führen.

Kleidung und Handschuhe fern von sich bewegenden Teilen. Lockere Kleidung, Schmuck oder lange Haare
können von sich bewegenden Teilen erfasst werden.
g) Wenn Staubabsaug- und –auffangeinrichtungen montiert werden können, vergewissern Sie sich,
dass diese angeschlossen sind und richtig verwendet werden. Verwendung einer Staubabsaugung
verringert Gefährdungen durch Staub.
4) SORGFÄLTIGER UMGANG UND GEBRAUCH VON
ELEKTROWERKZEUGEN
a) Überlasten Sie das Gerät nicht. Verwenden Sie für Ihre Arbeit das dafür bestimmte Elektrowerkzeug.
Mit dem passenden Elektrowerkzeug arbeiten Sie besser und sicherer im angegebenen
Leistungsbereich.
b) Benutzen Sie kein Elektrowerkzeug, dessen Schalter defekt ist. Ein Elektrowerkzeug, das sich nicht
mehr ein- oder ausschalten lässt, ist gefährlich und muss repariert werden.
c) Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose und/oder entfernen Sie den Akku, bevor Sie
Geräteeinstellungen vornehmen, Zubehörteile wechseln oder das Gerät weglegen. Diese
Vorsichtsmaßnahme verhindert den unbeabsichtigten Start des Geräts.

Die Kappsäge kann verwendet werden, um rechte und linke schräge Schnitte von 0 °- 45 ° in Bezug auf die
Anschlag-Schiene zu machen.
ͻHeben Sie den Maschine- Kopf (4) zu seiner Spitzenposition.
ͻLassen Sie den Drehtisch (8) durch Lösen des Verriegelunggriffs (10) frei.
ͻMit dem Griff (2) stellen Sie den Drehtisch (8) auf den gewünschten Winkelein, d.h. die Kennzeichnung
auf dem Drehtisch muss mit der gewünschten Winkelstellung (17) auf der ortsfesten Basisplatte (9)
übereinstimmen.
ͻZiehen Sie den Verriegelungsgriff (10) nach, um den Drehtisch (8) in Position zu fixieren.
ͻMachen Sie das Schneiden, wie in Abschnitt 6.1 beschrieben).
