• CHARGE THE BATTERY PACK IN A
TEMPERATURE RANGE 5°C(41°F)
TO 40°C(104°F)
1. Use a specified battery charger.
• Do not use an unspecified charger to
charge the battery pack.
Charging is not possible with an un-
specified charger and using such a
charger may damage the battery pack,
potentially leading to a fire or abnormal
heating of the battery pack.
2. Battery charging precautions
• The power supply used for this charger
must have the indicated rating. Do not
use transformers such as a booster, DC
power supply or engine generator for
this charger. Using such power supplies
can damage the charger or cause it to
catch fire due to abnormal heat.
• Be sure to charge the battery pack in a well
ventilated location. Do not cover the battery
pack or charger with a cloth or similar object
while it is charging. Doing so may cause the
battery pack or charger to burst or catch fire.
• When the charger is not being used, dis-
connect the power plug from the outlet. Oth-
erwise, an electric shock or fire may result.
• Do not allow foreign substances to enter
the charger's ventilating hole or battery
pack installation port. Otherwise, an elec-
tric shock or equipment failure may result.
3. Do not short-circuit the battery pack
terminals
• Short-circuiting the battery - objects such
as nails, or exposing it to rain or water can
potentially lead it to start fuming, catch fire
or cause the battery pack to burst.

the battery’s temperature lowers to a
safe level, The Battery will then be
charged automatically.
When the Battery pack is at low tem-
perature
When the Battery pack is at low tempera-
ture (less than 5°C(41°F)), its charging is
automatically suspended until its temper-
ature increases, in order to protect it,
even if it is set in the charger.
Leave the Battery pack at normal temper-
ature in the room for some time, and then,
charge it again.
When the orange standby light blinks
This indicates the Battery cannot be charged.
Unplug the charger and check the charging
receptacle. If there are any foreign objects,
remove them with a soft dry cloth. If the or-
ange light still blinks and there are no foreign
objects, there may be a problem with the Bat-
tery or Charger. Return to dealer for service.
