3 functIon
With the MAX! Eco Switch, you can leave your house or
apartment and switch all rooms into manual mode and
reduction temperature - at the push of a button! When
you enter the house or apartment again, you can also set
all rooms back to auto mode by only one button press.
The individually set week programs for the rooms will
then be executed. Communication between the MAX!
components is bidirectional. This ensures that the in-
formation sent reaches the recipient.
The MAX! Eco Switch is battery-operated. As such it is
highly flexible where mounting and selecting a mount-
ing location are concerned. The device is mounted and
removed very easily using screws or adhesive strips. It is
compatible with a number of different surfaces including
furniture, brick walls, tiles or glass. Holes or slits do not
have to be chiselled out of brick walls. A flush-mounting
box is not required for operation. The frame supplied can
be used for wall mounting. It is also possible to integrate
the MAX! Eco Switch into existing switches (see sec. „6

6
Function
Mounting in existing switches“ on page 12).
The MAX! Eco Switch can be used within the MAX! House
solution:
MAX! House solution
This is the solution for the entire house. With a
MAX! Cube, all settings of connected devices in
the house can comfortably be made via the MAX!
software.
By using the MAX! Cube, several MAX! Radiator so-
lutions and MAX! Room solutions can be connect-
ed to a MAX! House solution in a new installation.

• After removing the old batteries, please wait approx.
60 seconds.
• Insert two new 1.5 V LR03/micro/batteries in the bat-
tery compartments (making sure that you insert them
the right way round).

9
Start-up
• Put the electronic unit back into the frame.
Never recharge standard batteries. Do not throw
the batteries into a fire. Do not expose batteries
to excessive heat. Do not short-circuit batteries.
Doing so will present a risk of explosion.
Used batteries should not be disposed of with
regular domestic waste! Instead, take them
to your local battery disposal point.
5.2 mountIng
You can either use screws or adhesive strips to mount
the MAX! Eco Switch to a wall in the frame supplied or
integrate it into an existing switch (see sec. „6 Mounting
in existing switches“ on page 12).
Adhesive strip mounting:
• Choose a site for installation.

10
Start-up
The surface on which you are mounting the device
must be clean, dry and free of grease.
• For mounting the assembled MAX! Eco Switch, attach
the adhesive strips to the rear of the mounting plate.
You should be able to read the letters on the back side
(according to figure).
<PA66>
• Remove the protective film from the adhesive strips.
• Press the assembled MAX! Eco Switch with the back
side to the wall in the position where it should sub-

Screw mounting:
• Choose a site for installation.
Make sure that no electricity or similar lines run
in the wall at this location.

11
Start-up
• Position the mounting plate on the desired site on the
wall. Make sure that the arrow on the mounting plate
is pointing upwards.
• Use a pen to mark the positions of boreholes 1(di-

ple combinations, make sure that the mounting plate of
the MAX! Eco Switch is seamlessly aligned to the already
fixed mounting plate/retaining ring.

Maintenance and cleaning
10 maIntenance and cleanIng
The product does not require any maintenance. Enlist
the help of an expert to carry out any repairs. Clean the
product using a soft, lint-free cloth that is clean and dry.
You may dampen the cloth a little with lukewarm water
in order to remove more stubborn marks. Do not use any
detergents containing solvents, as they could corrode the
plastic housing and label.
11 InformatIon about radIo operatIon
Radio transmission is performed on a non-exclusive
transmission path, which means that there is a pos-
sibility of interference occurring. Interference can also
be caused by switching operations, electrical motors or
defective electrical devices.
The range of transmission within buildings can
differ greatly from that available in the open air.
Besides the transmitting power and the reception
characteristics of the receiver, environmental fac-
tors such as humidity in the vicinity have an im-
portant role to play, as do on-site structural/
screening conditions.
eQ-3 Entwicklung GmbH hereby declares that this device
complies with the essential requirements and other rel-
evant regulations of Directive 1999/5/EC. You can find the
full declaration of conformity at www.eQ-3.de.
