5. OPERATION
5.1 How to use the appliance
If the appliance has not been stored or moved in an upright position, let it stand upright for approximately
12 hours before operation. If in doubt, allow the appliance to stand.
Before using the appliance for the first time, clean the shelves and interior with soapy water.
Only store food stuffs in the appliance when it has reached the correct operating temperature.
Do not place uncovered hot food or liquid inside the appliance.
Wrap or cover food where possible.
Do not obstruct the fans inside the appliance.
Avoid opening the doors for prolonged periods of time.
• A lock is fitted to the doors to ensure foodstuffs are kept secure within your appliance. Use the keys
provided to lock/unlock the door.
• Close the door of the appliance.
• Ensure the power switch is set to [O] and turn on at the socket.
• Switch on the power [l]. The current temperature within the appliance is displayed.
• Press "Up" button for more than 3 seconds to switch on the appliance. The control and defrost algorithms
are now disabled and the instrument displays the message "Off" alternating with the temperature read
by the set probe.
• Press the "Set" button to view the chosen temperature in the display. Press "Set" again to return to the
current temperature.
• If you press "Set" for 1 second you will see the chosen temperature blinking. Press the arrow up or
arrow down button to adjust the chosen temperature. Again, press "Set" to save the set temperature
and return to the current temperature.
• The appliance will automatically run a defrost cycle every six hours.
The cycle starts from the time the appliance is initially powered up.
• The button "Defrost" with the water drops can be used to start the defrost cycle manually. Press the
button for 5 seconds, the defrost cycle will start immediately and the "Defrost" illuminates. The defrost
will last a maximum of 30 minutes.
Starting a manual defrost also resets the automatic defrost timer. The next automatic defrost will start
six hours after the manual defrost has finished.
• Place the shelfs at the desired height in the refrigerator. When using a freezer, the shelfs are not adjustable
in height, cause the cooling systems runs through them.
• Place products approximately 5cm from the back and side walls of the appliance, to prevent freezing of
the products and blocking air circulation in the machine.
The maximum loading weight for each layer of shelf should be no more than 30kgs.
When the appliance is not being used, turn of the appliance by pressing the "On/Off" switch for 3 seconds.
When the appliance will not be used for a longer period, please remove the plug from the socket.
Never place products unprotected on the bottom of the appliance. The reason for this is that condensation
water will be drained at the bottom of the machine.
