2. Get to know your Player
Your Maysound Music Player is constructed for easy and intuitive use.
The controls are large and light up when operated. The display is easy to read –
even in the dark. The ergonomically correct remote control from Maysound (extra
accessory) makes it easy for the user to operate the player.
Control panel
Volume down – press the control to turn the volume down.
Change to previous track – press once for each track.
Timer – set the Player to turn on/o after 15, 30, 45, 60, 120 minutes.
Hold the control for ve seconds to reset.
Start/stop – turns Player on, changes between play and stop.
Hold the control for two seconds to turn the Player o.
Change to next track – press once for each track.
Volume up – press the control to turn the volume up.

Back panel
Behind the hygiene ap on the back of the player, the following options are
available:
1. Power in – charging the battery.
Maysound Power Supply (Medico Class 2) – used for
charging the internal rechargeable lithium battery.
2. SD Card in – insert the supplied SD Card or another SD Card with sound les
with the label up.
Maysound SD Card with treatment music.
3. External sound source in (AUX-in) – connection with Maysound Audio
Cable for e.g. MP3 player, television or other external sound source (Maysound
Audio Cable is available as extra accessory). The volume is adjusted using the
connected unit.
IMPORTANT: A Maysound Audio cable must be used. The cable must
have a maximum length of two metres.

Back-light display
The back-light display and controls are activated using any control. The light
turns o after 15 seconds without activation of controls.

3. Getting started/installation
Before using the Player for the rst time, you should charge the built-in battery.
Charge the battery for six hours the rst time to use it optimally.
1. Charging the battery
Plug the charger into the back panel and then into the outlet. The display power
indicator shows that the battery is charging.
When the battery is full, the following icon is shown on the display:
2. Inserting/replacing the SD Card
The treatment program is encrypted in the supplied SD Card. It is possible to save
your own MP3 music/sound les on an SD Card and play them on your Maysound
Music Player. Insert the SD Card in the Player.

3. Positioning your Player
Your Maysound Music Player can be placed on many dierent pillows, mattres-
ses and chairs, e.g.:

4. Turning on/o the Player
Turn your Maysound Music Player on by pressing the Start/Stop control
Turn it o by pressing and holding the Start/Stop control for two seconds.
When the Maysound Music Player has stopped, it turns o automatically after
two minutes.

Setting the timer
The timer function can be used in two ways:
Postponed start
This function is particularly suitable for waking up.
When the Player is in pause mode, pressing the timer control will activate
postponed start. Each time the control is pressed, the start will be postponed by
15 minutes and up to 120 minutes.
Setting the timer to 0 will deactivate the postponed start. The Player will slowly
turn up the volume when the set time has expired.
Example: Turn on the Player and then press the timer until the requested number of minutes until start is
shown on the display. After the selected number of minutes, the music will start quietly and slowly turn
up the volume until the requested volume has been reached (within two minutes).
Postponed stop
This function is particularly suitable for falling asleep.
When the Player is in play mode, pressing the timer control will activate the
postponed stop. Each time the control is pressed, the stop will be postponed by
15 minutes and up to 120 minutes.
Setting the timer to 0 will deactivate postponed stop. The Player will slowly turn
down the volume when the time has expired.
Example: Turn on the Player, press start and then the timer until the requested number of minutes until
stop is shown on the display. Two minutes before the selected time, the music will slowly fade and
nally stop.

Connecting an external sound source
To play music from another sound source on your Maysound Music Player,
connect the external sound source via a Maysound Audio Cable (available from
Maysound resellers, for more information: www.maysound.com)
This icon is shown on the display when the plug
is connected correctly.
Please note that the volume is adjusted on the external sound source con-
nected to your Maysound Music Player.

4. Safety and cleaning
This section contains important information on safety and handling of
Maysound Music Player models. To avoid damage or injury, please read all the
safety information below and instructions for use before using your Maysound
Music Player.
Important safety information
WARNING: Failure to observe these safety instructions may lead to re,
electric shock or other injury or damage.
Handling your Maysound Music Player
Avoid bending, losing, crushing, puncturing, burning or opening your
Maysound Music Player.
Avoid water and wet areas
Do not use your Maysound Music Player in the rain or near basins and other wet
areas. Avoid spilling food and uid on your Maysound Music Player.
If your Maysound Music Player gets wet, remove all cables and turn your
Maysound Music Player o before cleaning it. Make sure that it is completely dry
before turning it on again.
Repair of your Maysound Music Player
Never try to repair your Maysound Music Player yourself. It contains no parts that
can be serviced by the user. The rechargeable battery in your Maysound Music
Player may be replaced only at a Maysound service center.

Using the Maysound Music Player power supply
Use the supplied power supply to recharge your Maysound Music Player. A
new power supply is available from Maysound resellers,
for more information: www.maysound.com
Make sure that the plug is connected correctly. Always avoid wet hands when
connecting and disconnecting the power supply.
Never use another type of power supply than a Maysound Music Player power
supply to charge your Maysound Music Player. In normal use, your Maysound
Music Player power supply can get hot. Always provide sucient ventilation
around the power supply and handle with care.
Remove the power supply in the following cases:
If the main cable or the plug is frayed or damaged.
If the power supply has been exposed to rain, uids or high humidity.
If the power supply cabinet has been damaged.
If you think that the power supply needs service or repair work.
If you want to clean the power supply.
Experts recommend the following precautions to avoid hearing damage:
Do not turn up the volume to drown surrounding noise.
Turn down the volume if you cannot hear nearby persons talking.
Avoid hearing damage
You may suer a permanent hearing loss if you use your Maysound Music
Player at an excessive volume for a longer period of time.
Set the volume to a reasonable level.
Discoloration
To avoid discoloration of the Maysound Music Player do not leave it in direct
sunlight.

5. Technical specications
Formats
Plays MP3 (64-192 kbps) and MCF.
Music
Delivered with an SD Card containing 60 minutes of treatment music in
MCF format.
Extra memory
Memory cards with selected MusicCure tracks are available as accessories.
Standard SD cards/MMC cards with your own MP3 music can be used (16MiB –
2GiB, FAT12/16).
External sound source
The AUX-plug (3.5 mm mini-jack plug) can be used to connect an external sound
source. The volume must be adjusted using the external sound source.
Playing time
Up to 20 hours with a fully charged battery at a medium volume level. When the
battery is empty, the Player turns o automatically.
Battery life
Up to approx 500 charges/discharges.
Battery replacement
Must be performed by an authorised service technician.

Purpose
Updates will improve your experience when using your Maysound Music Player,
as new programmes are developed that require new functionalities.
Updating
Your Maysound Music Player automatically checks for available software updates
on the SD Card.
If newer software is available on the SD Card, you will be asked whether you want
to update your Maysound Music Player.
If not, press for no. If yes, press to start updating.
IMPORTANT: Do not remove the SD Card from your Maysound Music
Player during the update process.
