2. NeverUseAppliance forWarming orHeating the

aloneor unattendedin the areawhere theappliance is
in use. They should never be allowed to sit or stand on

4. WearProperApparel—Loose fittingorhanging

8. UseOnlyDry Potholders—Moist ordamp potholders
on hot surfaces may result in burns from steam. Do
not let potholder touch burners. Do not use a towel or
other bulky cloth.
SELF-CLEANING OVEN
1. DoNotClean Door Gasket—The door gasketis
essential for a good seal. Care should be taken not to
rub,damage, ormove the gasket.
2. DoNotUseOven Cleaners—Nocommercialoven
cleaneror ovenliner protectivecoating ofany kind
should be used in or around any part of the liner.
3. Clean Only Parts Listed in Manual. See Cleaning
section.
4. BeforeSelf-CleaningtheOven—Removebroilerpan,
ovenracks, and otherutensils.
OVEN
1. UseCareWhen Opening Door—Let hot airor steam
escapebeforeremoving orreplacingfood.
2. DoNotHeatUnopened FoodContainers—Build-upof
pressure may cause container to burst and result in
injury.
3. KeepOvenVentsDuctsUnobstructed.
4. PlacementofOven Racks—Alwaysplace ovenracks
in desired location while oven is cool. If rack is
removedwhile ovenis hot, donot letpotholder contact
hotoven.
In Case of Fire
Fires can occur as a result of over cooking or excessive
grease.Though a fire is unlikely, if one occurs, proceed
as follows:
Oven Fires
1. Ifyousee smokefrom oven,do notopen ovendoor.
2. Turn ovencontrol toOFF.
3. As an added precaution, turn off power at main circuit
breakeror fusebox.
4. Turnonvent toremovesmoke.
5. Allowfoodor grease toburn itself outin oven.
6. Ifsmoke andfire persist, callfire department.
7. If there is any damage to components, call repair
servicebeforeusingoven.
Precautions
• Donot mix household cleaningproducts. Chemical
mixturesmay interact with objectionableor even
hazardousresults.
• Do not put plastic items on warm cooking areas. They
may stick and melt.
• Do not use damp sponge or dishcloth to clean oven
when oven is hot. Steam from sponge or dishcloth can
burn.
• Donot leave fat heatingunless you remain nearby. Fat
can ignite if overheated by spilling onto hot surfaces.
